Chapter 93
Ariel's POV
I was nervous the entire time Brandon and Landon were busy trying to find out who helped Leo and Keven escape. It seemed like everyone knew they were missing.
The Pack Members said someone helped them escape that worked at the jail. It was supposed to be one of Keven's close friends or relatives.
Brandon and Landon made sure there were guards standing outside of the door to make sure I was safe. I was worried that Keven and Leo would come for me. I was sure they wanted to hurt me, well, kill me. They blamed me for them being locked in a cell.
Mom kept telling me there was nothing to worry about and that Brandon and Landon would never let anything happen to me, but I was still worried. They couldn't be with me every minute of every day, and I knew I could defend myself by using my powers, but I was still getting the hang of them. It was still a little hard for me not to lose control of them.
"Everything is going to be fine, Ariel. Brandon and Landon are not going to let them get to you. They would do anything to keep you safe," mom said.
"I know," I replied. Mom was making dinner while Laura and I sat in the kitchen with her. I could see that mom was concerned about me because she knew I was worried.
"I made some cookies. Would the two of you like some?" mom asked.
"Yeah," Laura said
"Sure," I replied, and Laura and I followed mom into the kitchen and sat at the table.
" I made sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies," Mom said, placing a plate next to Laura and me with two of each cookie.
"These are great, mom," Laura said
"Yeah, they are delicious," I added. Suddenly my stomach began to feel upset, and I ran to the bathroom. I opened the toilet seat and began vomiting.
"Are you alright, Ariel," Mom asked as she walked into the restroom? I stood up and washed my mouth out with water.
"Yeah, I am fine. I have been feeling nauseous the past few days, but this was the first time I have thrown up," I replied.
"Must have been something you ate," Laura said. Mom had a weird expression on her face, and she was making me worry.
"What's wrong?" I asked
"Nothing, sweetie. I don't want to worry you, but when was your last period?" Mom asked, and I thought about her question.
"Last month, but I am a little over a week late," I said
"Are you normally late?" Mom asked
"Not more than a day or two," I replied then realization hit me. I looked at mom to see her already looking at me. Laura had a shocked expression on her face, and I knew she was thinking the same thing mom and I were.
"I will be right back," Pam said and walked out of the bathroom.
"There is no way I am pregnant," I said
"I never thought I would ask you, but are you and my brothers being safe? Have you been using protection?" Laura asked
"No. We have never used protection," I replied. Pam walked back into the bathroom and handed me a little box. I looked at it to see it was a pregnancy test.
"I will take you to see the Pack Doctor once Brandon and Landon tell us it is safe to leave, but for now, I want you to take this," mom said
"Okay," I replied, and Laura and mom left the bathroom to give me some privacy. I looked at the box and thought about how the results from the test inside might change my life forever. I never thought I would become pregnant until I was done with college. I always wanted children but wanted to finish school and be financially stable before I had any children.
I wondered if Brandon and Landon would be happy if I were pregnant or if they would be upset. I knew I needed to figure out if I was pregnant first before worrying about everything else.
I took a deep breath before taking the test out of the box.

"Has it been two minutes yet? I asked impatiently. Mom had gotten a timer, and it seemed like we had been waiting forever to check the test results.
"We have forty seconds to go," Mom said
"Mom, I am sure we could check the results now. The test said to wait for one to two minutes," Laura said
"No. We are waiting two minutes," Mom said, and we heard a ding.
"Finally," Laura said. I looked at the pregnancy test mom had put a piece of paper over. I was so nervous about what the test would say. Mom went over and lifted the paper off the test.
Laura walked over and looked at it as well.
"What does it say?" I asked nervously. I walked over to where they were standing and froze in my spot once I saw the test with two lines. "Oh my God," I whispered. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"You are pregnant."
