Chapter 28 Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Darius POV
I pushed her against the door immediately the door closed. We were now back at my house, I didn't say anything to her all through the way here.
"What are you doing Iris?" I growled, pressing my body firmly against hers.
"I...am...not Iris, you are mistaken." She stuttered out.
"Do you take me for a fool? Do you think I wouldn't be able to recognize you? Then tell me, where is your mole?" I demanded.
"The...the." she cleared her throat, turning her face away from me. "The make-up covered it." She continued.
"You must really think I'm stupid." I hissed, stepping away from her. If she really wants to play the game this way, I wasn't going to stop her.
But I'm sure going to find out what she and her family have up their sleeves now. "The maid will show you to your room." I said, walking away from her.
I headed straight for my room, slamming the door shut behind me. Mole or not, I'm very sure that is Iris. Because, why else would my wolf be screaming to claim her few minutes ago when I had her pinned against the door.
I untied my tie, taking off my shirt. I need to shower real quick and head to my office. I need to speak with Nathan.
After taking a shower, I left the house. Got into my car and drove off to my office.
"Boss," Nathan said as I got out of the car.
"I want to know why it was Iris in Vickie's position today." I ordered, I knew he couldn't differentiate them either but he knew to trust me.
"Alright Alpha." I replied.
As I was about to enter the office I stopped in my step. "She wants to continue pretending, let's see how long she can last then." I muttered under my breath.
"I didn't catch that boss." Nathan stood beside me dumbfounded.
"Nothing, take care of things here and don't forget what I asked you to do." I said to him, leaving. I got back into my car and drove back to the house.
"Where is she?" I asked the maid as I stepped into the house.
"She just finished having dinner Alpha, she should be getting ready for bed now." The maid replied.
"Good." I mumbled, making my way to the room she was in. The room I initially planned for Vickie.
Not bothering to knock, I barged into the room just as she was stepping out of the bathroom. But she wasn't in a towel or anything, she was dressed for bed. And that ridiculous mole was on her face.
How did she even do that?
"You could have knocked, you know." She said angrily, sitting down on her bed.
"Why should I knock before I see my wife?" I said darkly, stepping close to her. I sat down beside her on the bed, placing one of my hands on her thigh.
Her body went tense as she sucked in a breath. "I think it's time to do your wifely duties." I whispered, pushing her on the bed. I hovered above her, pinning both of her hands above her head with just one of mine.
"What are you doing Darius, let me go." She said, trying to wiggle her hands free.
"I'm just doing what should happen between a man and his wife after the wedding." I growled leaning in closer to her face.
"I'm not ready Darius, I don't want you to do this now." She responded.
"Are you scared I would recognize your body? You know, I still remember every curve of your body from the last time Iris." I whispered.
"How many fucking times do I have to tell you, I'm not Iris. I'm Vickie, Iris already went home with father." She spat.
"Cute. But you should know that if there is one thing I detest, it's liars." I mumbled, my facial expression becoming stoic.
"Can't you see? I'm Vickie, that is the fucking mole that differentiate us from each other." She said, raising the eyebrow where the mole was.
"You want me to believe that makeup covered this mole? I would have believed it if the makeup wasn't so smooth around the area."
"The make-up artist did a really good job. Now please let me go, I need to sleep. I have had a very stressful day." She responded.
"This should be fun. I'm going to watch you and play along with you, I will watch you lose at your own game." I spat, standing up from the bed.
I straightened my shirt, leaving the room without sparing her another glance. I should be happy right? That I actually got married to Iris and not her sister.
And she being married to me means she isn't going to get married to that criminal's son anymore. But, I wasn't.
I didn't want Iris to get involved in any of this that is happening, she getting involved in this doesn't guarantee her safety in the slightest bit.
My phone rang and I picked it up frustrated. "I found nothing boss, nothing that gives away that she is actually Iris and not Vickie."
"But, what I did notice is that Leonard is leaving the city with the other twin. Whether Vickie or Iris I don't know which one." He added.
"Find something Nathan, find out why they are leaving the city together. I'm sure they are planning something huge." I commanded ending the call.
I wanted nothing more than to storm back into that room and claim her lips. Watch her squirm under my touch, and prove to her that she would never be able to hide her true self from me.
My phone rang again but it wasn't Nathan this time, it was my uncle.
"Darius." Came his gruff voice through the phone.
"Yes uncle," I responded.
"Come see me tomorrow, there is something very important I need to discuss with you." He informed me and I nodded my head, knowing fully well he can't see me.
"Okay then." I said.
"I will see you tomorrow then newly wedded husband." He laughed out and ended the call.
What could he want to see me for that could be so important he can't say it over the phone.
