Chapter 57; Abducted
Following the talk, Matthew led Cheska to the cage located just inside the pack house fence."Be patient and don't do anything stupid." Okay?" As he opened the cell, he was rigorously directed. Cheska is not sent to a prison where the offenders are since she is simply a suspect.
"I could hear the clanging of the bars as I entered the jail, never expecting to find myself there." Cheska answered, surprised. She believed they would rejoice today since her difficulty with her inner self had been resolved, but it turns out she had entered another dilemma without realizing it.
"Would you like me to join you here?" Matthew sneered in response. He's taunting her in order to make her relax.
"Crazy... A part of me is accustomed to being incarcerated. That's why this cell isn't an issue! Just don't let me remain here too long!" Cheska said, pursing her lips.
"I promise I'll fix it right away, so please be patient." "Just stay here and be still..." Matthew hugged her hard. He hated putting her there, but rules are rules. No one, even him, is above the Thunder Pack's law. This is what his father taught him, therefore Matthew is unaware but must follow it even if it is against his will.
Cheska sighed as Matthew walked away. "Now what?" she whispered as she sat on the side's rough bench. She would never have accepted and consented to this if it hadn't been for Matthew and her mother, Luna Maurice. Fortunately, she has a tremendous love for her family and confidence in those two, so she has no alternative but to listen and bear all.
"How should I spend my time here?" I should attempt to speak to my wolf... "Surely she knew what caused the mark on my forehead," Cheska thought to herself as she sat on the chilly floor.
Nothing occurred for a few minutes while she sat with her eyes closed. Cheska was unable to communicate with her wolf. "What's wrong with you?" Cheska groaned, concerned. Then she sat on the seat on the side and closed her eyes again, thinking.
Cheska did not know she had taken a sleep until it was too late. The iron barrier merely opened to allow for footsteps before she awoke. Cheska couldn't help but lift her head, thinking it was Matthew. Instead of Matthew, she was met with a handkerchief.
"Ahh! What the heck is going on? Allow me to leave! "Who are you?" Cheska didn't complete her words before her eyes blurred and she was overwhelmed by sleep once again.
Cheska awakened with something smooth and velvety in her eyes. She couldn't see where she was because of this. But based on the scent, she knew she wasn't in the same cell she had been in before.
'Is this the Hidden Society's work? But how did they track me down? How did they manage to get me out of the pack house? Cheska muttered to herself as she stood immobile.
Cheska's questions were instantly answered as she felt the blindfold removed off her eyes. A blinding light met her eyes, forcing her to lower her head.
"All right, all right... Finally, I met the prophecy's girl."
Cheska is unfamiliar with the voice, which is why the line on her brow intensified."Who are you, and what do you want from me?!" Cheska yelled angrily. Her eyes had become used to the brightness. That's why she lifted her head and turned to face the person in front of her.
"Hmm... Do you need me to respond to your question?" You've already heard about our civilization through Neo, haven't you? And you're searching for us, if I'm not incorrect. So I'll save you time and effort by coming to you.
Cheska regarded the guy with distrust, his mere presence indicating he was a member of the secret group. He seems normal to her, or rather, the man in front of her appears frail and vulnerable. "You're the leader of the Hidden Society?" she wondered.
The guy was not pleased with Cheska's attitude. He quickly crossed the small distance and gripped her chin forcefully. "I am the supreme leader's son!" "My name is Garrett!" He sneered at her as he proudly presented himself.
Cheska was unconcerned about her condition. Instead, she turned her face away from Garrett and scornfully gazed at him. "So, what exactly do you want?" As you said, I'm looking into the Hidden Society... And I'm sure you don't have any power in this group, so talking to you is pointless."
Garett's face was furrowed with rage. In the heat of his rage, he slapped Cheska and was not content, so he smacked her again, this time in the stomach. "You grossly underestimated me!" As the supreme lord's son, I am privy to all of his hidden intentions."
Cheska winced in agony as the side of her lips split and became bloodstained. 'This man is insane!' She thinks about this while planning her next move. It is simple for Cheska to break free from the chain, but she is having second thoughts.
"My father did not say we couldn't hurt you, so playing with you for a few minutes is fine." Garrett proclaimed with a terrifying smile.
"But Garrett, she is very important to the Hidden Society-"
"Stop talking! Am I soliciting your feedback? "I have complete control over everything!" Garrett yelled as he continued on his intended path. He let go of his claws and stared menacingly at Cheska.
"A few slashes will not change my mind about you." I stand steadfast in my beliefs regarding!" Cheska responded mockingly, returning Garrett's smile. "-You're frail! In fact, I can sense your subordinate's power more than you! Oh, my goodness! "If the two of you fight, you will undoubtedly lose," she continued.
"You little wuss! "I'll show you what I'm capable of!" Garrett was at a loss for words to express his hate. That's why he immediately poured out his rage and began slashing at Cheska. Garrett's claws sliced through Cheska's skin one by one. He doesn't care where the assaults occur; his sole goal is to alleviate her guilt. Because, like Cheska said, Garrett knows he is weak, but he will die first before acknowledging this fact.

Meanwhile, Matthew was seeking for the truth inside the Thunder pack's pack home. He needed to take them up since Samantha's buddy had returned home. Samantha's friend admits to approaching Cheska in the climax, and the two also confirm that she was not carrying any poison. As a result, the head council was persuaded to release Cheska.
