Chapter 48; Tension All Over The Place

In the afternoon, the alphas and their delegate groups came. Cheska welcomed and escorted them into the main hall, as commanded by her mother, Luna Maurice.

Although many people love her attractiveness, many are secretly envious, and others openly despise her... Samantha is one of them.

"What are we going to do, Samantha?" It's as though all the males have forgotten we exist now that Cheska is here."

"That's correct! Even my friend, I notice him looking at her!"

These are only a handful of their gripes, and Samantha shares their opinion. She recalls the day Matthew became enraged with her. "If the alphas find out Cheska is a weakling, they will be disappointed!" Samantha replied and moved closer to him.

Meanwhile, Cheska notices Samantha and her two minions approaching her, but she ignores them.

"You look fantastic today... Hmm, I wonder whether everyone who saw you was ecstatic... Perhaps they are... You deserve to remain in the room and provide pleasure in bed with your wonderful attractiveness!" Samantha stated, sneering.

Cheska signed and cast a scornful glance towards Samantha's group. "You're talking about me or you?" she muttered, lifting an eyebrow.

Samantha's face suddenly darkened. "Of course I'm referring to you!" Don't compare yourself to me since we're not the same!"

"-Of sure, we're unique! You can already see how powerful and magnificent my wolf is as you..." Cheska let Samantha reflect before continuing her sentence.

Samantha couldn't reject these comments since so many people had seen and adored Cheska's wolf. “Huh! What's the point of having a powerful and magnificent wolf if you can't manage it?! Your wolf most likely despised you because you are a wimp! You're incapable of defending yourself!"

"Ha, ha, ha!" Are you certain about that? Samantha, please pause. I may lose patience and do something you won't like..." Cheska answered, a wide grin on her face.

Samantha and her henchmen broke out laughing. Cheska's threats are a farce to them since everyone knows how fragile and frail she is.

"Perhaps you forgot..." "No one will defend you because Alpha Matthew isn't here," Samantha responded, placing her hand on Cheska's shoulder.

Cheska, on the other hand, does not have the luxury or patience to play while listening to Samantha's comments. As a result, she grabbed the hand that was clutching Samantha's shoulder and twisted it, forcing Samantha to groan in agony. "I neglected to inform you... Cheska Mcbride, who was weak and meek, is no longer with us... You are now meeting my other side, which has nothing to fear and does not need a defender!" Cheska pushed Samantha to her pals after she stated her facts.

Samantha's expression was one of dread and amazement. Cheska's move surprised even her best buddy. She couldn't even remember Samantha's previous bullying attempt.

"'Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go... As you are all aware, I am required to amuse everyone." Cheska said, and without waiting for Samantha to respond, she turned around and entered the pack house, where all of the delegates were gathered.

Meanwhile, Ava is hidden and observing from a distance. Her fist was tight, and her gaze was riveted on Cheska.'Hmm... A little shove and you two will collide and annihilate each other... If that occurs, I will not have to compete... Matthew and the Thunder's Luna title will be mine!

----------

Everyone in the pack-house is preoccupied with the visitors. To eliminate unnecessary scenarios, each pack has its own set of tables. Because everyone here is competitive, the Thunder Pack avoids any potential confrontation.

However, there are still certain disputes that must be avoided, such as the one that is now occurring between the Knight Pack and the Red Pack. For a long time, these two packets have been in a row. That's why they wreak havoc whenever they get together.

Thunder must interfere since they are hosting the event. However, their alpha is nowhere to be seen...

"It would be better if you were the one to confront and stop them, Luna Maurice!" Charles, the Head of Council, shouted. He attempted to wean them earlier, but they refused, so he went to Luna Maurice.

Luna Maurice, on the other hand, has no intention of squandering her might. She knew they weren't going to listen. "Head Council, you must have considered the packs' conflicts when planning this event." That's why difficulty is unavoidable..." she declared, smiling. Then she looked back to see Alpha Connor, Eunice, and his Beta, Edison, walking down the corridor.

"Does it appear that the party has begun?" Alpha Connor made a remark as soon as he met Luna Maurice.

"Ha, ha, ha!" I'm relieved that nothing has been destroyed on Thunder's property... Anyway, how did you get here?" Luna Maurice inquired, looking around for Cheska or Matthew.

"Thunder City is incredible... If only attention is paid to it, it will undoubtedly be more developed than other cities," Alpha Connor said with a wide grin.

"Hmm, you're correct... Despite my best efforts, I am unable to keep up with the alpha, whose speed is constantly a step ahead."

"Don't worry, Luna Maurice, for you will have many partners in the building of Thunder City... Matthew has returned, and you can depend on the Shadow pack to assist him after he marries me... And then there's Cheska... They won't give up the Thunder until she marries at least one alpha.." Eunice said confidently.

Maurice returned Eunice's grin, but she shook her head. "All I want for them is happiness... I never considered utilizing the children to acquire access to the Thunder pack. What is most important is that they find pleasure..."

"Until now, Luna Maurice, you haven't changed..." Alpha Connor made a remark, and the latter just grinned.

The group proceeded to the appointed table. Because Edison is participating in the competition, they must remain in the pack-house with the others.

"Make sure you win, Beta Edison!" Don't make the Shadow pack seem bad!" Eunice responded, her eyes darting about. Her eyes was drawn to a table in the distance. The astonishment was visible in her eyes and was not disguised from the watchful Alpha Connor.

"Do you have any knowledge of Alpha Xander?"

Eunice quickly disputed her bond with Xander since he was a weak alpha. "I only remember him. He's the person we met at the airport when we first came in town..." she reasoned, shifting her eyes elsewhere.
