Chapter 47; All Alpha's

Cheska's point of view.

In my room, I'm relaxing in the bathtub while blowing bubbles. "Hmm, what's the matter with you? Why are you not coming out? Are you tired of it? Do you really want me to take over your body?" I whispered, attempting to communicate with my other half, who was quiet and out of reach.

Although I am content in the outer world, a sense of unease pervades the surrounding air. My innocent and compassionate attitude is still dormant in my psyche. "Hmm... don't blame me if I ruin your life," I said, sneering.

I am the shadow that stays concealed in the dark between the two of us. I can't go out and see the world, despite my desires. I can only leave when my other half is unable to deal with her emotions. And now that I've been given the opportunity, I'm not going to squander it.

I get ready after soaking in the bathtub for nearly an hour. The penchant for fashion is where she and her alter ego differ. I am, nevertheless, more adventurous than the genuine Cheska. "This will do..."I said and grabbed a baby pink mini-dress from the rack.

I began applying her makeup after she wore it. I created a smokey eye makeup with Bordeaux lipstick. Then, for the final appearance, I curl the ends of my hair. "Hmm... I've always wanted to do this, and now I've done it!" I murmured contentedly. I exited my room after one final look in the mirror.On my walk out, I run into Eunice. And I know the girl invites problems with her glum expression. "What exactly do you want?" When Eunice was blocking my path, I inquired.

"Speak the truth to me!" "Who is Matthew's date?" Eunice declared unequivocally. Matthew's previous announcement enraged her father, who assumed she had made a mistake, so she assumed Matthew was making reasons to avoid the sale.

Of course, I'm not going to acknowledge anything. That's why I cocked my brow. "... Why are you questioning me? As you are aware, Matthew and I are not very close. So, if you want to know what's going on in his life, just ask him!" Following my statements, I started walking, but Eunice suddenly grabbed my arm to stop me.

"I'm not done yet!" So don't turn away from me!"

With a little patience, I glance down at my arms, which are being held by Eunice. "Remove your hands from me if you want to keep your arms," I responded, looking Eunice in the eyes. I didn't try to disguise my boredom as my eyes became crimson.And it was enough for Eunice to let me go. "You... What's the matter with you? Cheska Mcbride, you're not!" She shouted and took a step back in horror.

I smirked as I saw the terrifying glances in Eunice's eyes. "What are you on about?" What is my identity if I am not Cheska?"

Eunice, on the other hand, is persuaded. She recalls my expression the night I went insane and almost killed her. "You can't possibly fool me!"

I just raised an eyebrow. "I'm not deceiving anybody. You may think anything you want since you have no bearing on my life!" I disregarded Eunice and proceeded down the stairs after my statements.

Eunice wanted to follow after me, but she stopped when she noticed her father, who had just emerged from his room. He has been locked in his room since breakfast, and Eunice is worried. So she went up to him and explained.

Luna Maurice and I exited the vehicle together. The latter had already mentioned our planned action for today.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'll take care of myself, leaving you to do your thing. I realise you have a lot on your plate..." With a grin, I said.

Maurice, on the other hand, is not persuaded. She discovered what occurred last night. "If you ever run into that guy, try to avoid him... Okay?"

I nodded, but my thoughts were elsewhere. I would not hide or avoid Xander if I saw him. "All right, I'll do it..." I stated this while waving to Ava, who was waiting for me.

I couldn't practise with the pack's new members because of the conditions. That's why I'm not sure whether I have the Thunder Pack mark.

"Hey, you look gorgeous..." When I came near, Ava said.

I gave a nice grin. "Many thanks... Anyway, how is your training going?"

"It's still the same... What happened to the person that assaulted you in the forest?" As they proceeded approaching a cabin, Ava inquired.

"My plate is full right now, so I don't have time to find out who my attacker is and what he wants from me..." I replied.

"Leonel warns you should be careful... Because they have no idea what your assailant's objectives are..." Ava said.

"... Your brother, is he here?" I nearly forgot to thank Leonel. "I haven't thanked him yet for saving me," I said as I glanced around.

The morning workout is finished now that the sun is up. That's why the new pack members are already inside the pack home. Only a few people are strolling outdoors.

"Yeah, Leonel told me earlier that they're going to be busy because all of the alphas are coming..."

I couldn't help but exclaim. "You're right... It's because of them that I dress like this..."

Ava fixed her gaze on me. "You're shining, you know... You're lovely every day, but your radiance is different right now..."

Hearing this statement, I couldn't help but flush as I recalled my prior encounter with Matthew. "You're seeing me for the first time with makeup and a dress, stupid." That's most likely the explanation..."

We spoke for a few minutes before the latter took her to go since she was called inside.

When I encountered Xabder, I was going to enter the pack house. He looked proud, much as the first time I saw him, as his pack trailed behind him.

"Are you still here?" When Xander halted in front of me, I inquired mockingly.

"Seeing how beautiful you are... I don't regret staying..." With a grimace, Xander answered.

“Huh! You are pitiful! "Do you believe you can beat the other alpha?" Smirking, I said.

Xander's grin vanished as a result of my sneer. He did not, however, lose his cool. "Keep an eye on me... And after I win, you'll be mine, and you'll have no choice but to be my slave!"

"Keep dreaming... I will not disagree with you since dreaming is free. After all, such occurs only in dreams..." I didn't bother waiting for Xander to react.

I went away after shaking him.
