Chapter 8 a worse mate
Anaya’s P.O.V. (Continued)
“Nooooooo.” She screamed at the top of her lungs while running towards the door. I took a big leap over the bed, and blocked the door before she could reach there.
She was running frantically and almost stumbled hard on her feet, falling forward when I suddenly jumped in front of her.
“You are insane.” She screamed again but luckily stopped herself on time, saving her fall.
Her emerald eyes were now filled with terror.
I swung my right hand to its full length. She screamed again while bending her waist backward to escape my strike.
“You should have stopped him from calling me, Riley. I guess you forgot what I said to you the last time before I left this pathetic place.” I snarled, taking a step in her direction, swinging my left hand this time.
She continued moving backward while bending her body backward; on either side, her eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets.
“Dad…. Dad….. save me.” She screamed at the top of her lungs and spun on her heel.
I immediately grabbed her hair at the back of her head, making her scream again, pain evident in her voice.
I dragged her back by her hair; she grabbed my wrist and dug her nails deeper into the skin, but I didn’t even flinch a little, let alone hiss or yelp in pain.
This pain was nothing in front of what I went through my training and during the missions.
“What? Didn’t you mind-link him by now?” I asked her sarcastically, pulling her hair to the extent where it was about to come out of the scalp.
“Leave me, btch.” She screamed in pain and anger.
I held her wrist so tightly that she released my wrist immediately.
In a swift flick of my wrist, I twisted her arm, pressing her wrist in the middle of her back.
“You btch! I will kill you.” She wailed in agony, but her screams thrilled me.
“For that, you need to survive this first.” I replied sinisterly and hit her calf.
She fell, but I didn’t let her fall. I yanked her hair up, pulling her whole body up in the process.
“What the fk are you doing? Leave her.” I slowly moved in my father’s direction, keeping Riley in the same state.
“Dad…. Save me. She has lost her mind.” Riley screamed at the top of her lungs, drawing blood at my wrist by digging her nails deeper in my wrist.
His emerald eyes were now shooting daggers at me. “What? Can’t see this daughter of yours in pain?” I asked him in a taunt, tilting my head a little in Riley’s direction.
“Leave her, Anaya.” He roared at me, but he forgot that I had no effect on his roar or alpha command.
“And why will I do that? You kidnapped me, brought me here against my will, and tied me down like I am an animal, and yet you hope for mercy from me?” The taunt and sarcasm were evident in every word, with hatred dripping from my voice.
“Let her go first. We can talk this out.” He still urged angrily, and I laughed coldly.
“There is nothing to talk about. Let me go and forget that you even know me.” I demanded coldly, hatred evident in my gaze.
“You can’t go.” He yelled, and I groaned angrily.
“Who the fk are you to decide if I can go or not? You are no one to me. Whether you live or this pack survives…. It’s none of my business. Let me go, or I swear to my dead mother, I will destroy this pack with my bare hands.” I threatened him coldly, suppressing my anger, and dug my nails inside Riley’s scalp.
“Dad.” She screamed aloud in pain.
“Lead the way.” I roared at my father, making his body tremble in the process.
I twisted Riley’s hand a bit more, almost dislocating her shoulder in the process.
“Anaya.” My head snapped behind my father, and my eyes widened in horror.
“Winnie!” I exclaimed aloud in a horrified scream.
Behind my father, Riley’s mother, Winnie, was standing.
No.
Barely holding her body on her feet. Her once beautiful face and sparkling deep blue eyes were dull and almost lifeless.
“What have you done to her?” I roared at my father, twisting Riley’s hand more in a fit of rage.
Winnie was my stepmother, but she always took care of me in secret whenever my father beat me.
She had a timid personality.
That’s why she couldn’t defend me openly in front of my father.
She was also the one who pleaded with me to leave the pack so that I could have a good life in the human world. She gave me all her savings so that I could starve and sleep in the street after reaching any human city.
I owe her so much, and now seeing her like this broke my heart into millions of pieces.
She was only a shell of the previous self I had in my memories.
My father looked behind him and growled at her. I could see that he was already on the verge of extending his claws.
“Who asked you to come here? Did you forget your place because your beloved daughter is here?” Alfred roared at her; disdain, hatred, and anger towards Winnie were evident in his voice.
He was about to take a step towards her when I roared at him threateningly.
Winnie was now shivering like a dry leaf, pure fear evident in her eyes.
“One step, and I will kill your precious daughter, Alfred.”
He snapped his head in my direction.
I was still standing in the middle of the room with Riley in my captivation.
Alfred was standing outside the door, and Winnie was right behind him.
He suddenly snarled and lunged behind.
“Winnie.” I roared in panic, threw Riley somewhere in the room, and lunged in Alfred’s direction.
My heart was almost in my mouth because of the fear, but thank God that I was faster than all of them.
Winnie ran backward, her steps wobbling, but I raised my hand in Alfred's direction, aiming for his neck, my fury at its peak by now.
"You dare touch her in my presence. She is cursed to have you as her mate." I snarled at the top of my lungs before grabbing his neck.
He was about to grab Winnie when I grabbed the back of his neck, and with all my strength, I flipped my arm, tightened my grip on his neck, moved his body in my direction, and punched him right in the middle of his chest.
His expression changed within a second from fury to rage, shock, pain, and agony. He couldn't even produce a sound, as I had knocked all the air out of his lungs with some water droplets, but I didn't let go of his neck.
His body would have flown away because of the strength of my punch, but I kept him at the same place and punched him again at the same spot.
