Chapter 215 I Will Find You Dirty
Ondine looked at Harriet, "Looks like between you and me, we'll just be fellow disciples. We're not meant to be master and student."
Harriet bowed respectfully, "Being your fellow disciple is already my good fortune."
"Don't worry, for Ian's sake, I'll do everything I can to heal your body."
"Thank you."
The group quickly left.
When they reached the door, Lark suddenly spoke up, "Tristan."
Everyone stopped.
Lark walked up to Tristan, "See? I didn't lie to you. Dr. Smith really can treat your mom and Harriet."
She looked at Tristan with affection and said suggestively, "So when are you going to come keep me company? How about tonight?"
"Lark, what are you talking about?" Harriet frowned, "What do you mean keep you company? What are you two doing tonight?"
"What, Tristan didn't tell you?" Lark laughed lightly, "Dr. Smith is my person now. Because of the sake of Tristan and me growing up together, I'm allowing her to treat you."
"But there's no free lunch in this world. To put it simply, I want Tristan to spend one night with me."
Harriet's face suddenly turned pale, "Tristan, is what she's saying true? You... agreed?"
"Of course he has to agree." Lark raised her voice, "Harriet, don't you want Mrs. Gemma Lancaster to get Dr. Smith's treatment? She's your mother-in-law. How can you be so selfish?"
Hearing this, coldness flashed in Gemma's eyes as she said angrily, "Harriet, what do you mean!"
Harriet turned to look at her, "Mom, I never said I didn't want you to get treatment. I'm willing to pay whatever it costs, but I absolutely won't agree to Tristan selling himself."
Gemma rolled her eyes, "Lark is now a young lady of the Romanov family. Would she need money? Do you think just because you run a small pharmaceutical company, you can compare with the Romanov family?"
Harriet's face was cold, "I still won't let my husband get involved with her."
"Harriet, can't you think straight?" Gemma said, "Who is Tristan doing this for? Isn't it to cure your body so you can have children and continue the family line? He's doing this for your little family."
"He's a man. It's normal for him to have other women. Do you really expect him to stay faithful to you forever?"
"Besides, he's just sleeping with Lark for one night. Can you not be so possessive?"
Harriet looked at her coldly, "Mom, you're a woman too. Are these words that a woman, a mother-in-law, should say?"
"Harriet, you've gone too far!" Gemma said angrily, "How dare you talk to me like this in front of so many people! Who gave you the nerve!"
"Taking a step back, what's wrong with letting Tristan keep Lark company? Don't forget, they had an arranged marriage from birth!"
"If you hadn't come between them, they would have been married long ago, and we wouldn't have all these problems today!"
Harriet laughed instead of getting angry, "I really can't reason with someone whose values are so twisted."
"You think I want to talk to you?" Gemma glared at her, "Harriet, I'm telling you right now, whoever tries to stop me from getting treatment, I won't let them off!"
Harriet ignored her and turned to look at Tristan, "Tristan, I won't listen to a single word your mom says. Right now I only want to hear what you have to say."
Tristan pulled out a cigarette and lit it, took a deep drag, and said in a low voice, "Harriet, I have no choice."
Lark secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She had been worried he would hesitate.
Harriet looked at Tristan in disbelief, "You mean you're going to agree to Lark? Tristan, have you lost your mind?"
"My mom has been paralyzed for over twenty years, living a life worse than death. As her son, I have a duty to help her." Tristan explained, "Not to mention, this also concerns you. Harriet, don't you want children? Once we cure your condition, we can have children."
Harriet pulled at the corner of her mouth, "You know very well I can't accept this. If you touch her, I'll find you disgusting."
Coldness flashed in Lark's eyes, "Harriet, watch your mouth. Killing you now would be easier than killing an ant!"
Harriet ignored her and just stared at Tristan, "I never thought about stopping you from saving your mother, but Tristan, if saving her means crossing my bottom line, I can't accept it."
Harriet spoke firmly, word by word, "If you agree to Lark's terms, there's no way we can continue. Think it over carefully."
With that, Harriet turned and left.
Gemma shouted at her back, "Harriet, besides threatening divorce, what else can you do? Let me tell you, go ahead and divorce! After you divorce, it would be better for Tristan to marry Lark!"
Harriet stopped, turned to look at her, and said with a smile, "I guess money really is great. Once Lark's status changed, you can not only overlook the fact that she slept with your husband Owen, but you even hope she'll marry your son."
"Your whole family's values are twisted. Whoever wants to jump into this pit can jump. If they really get married, I'll definitely wish them a lifetime together."
Gemma turned pale with anger at being mocked in public.
Harriet sneered and walked into the elevator.
"Tristan!" Gemma said angrily, "Divorce Harriet right now! Right now!"
Tristan took a drag of his cigarette, "I won't divorce."
"So you don't want Dr. Smith to save me?" Gemma said anxiously, "Then I'll die right in front of you!"
Tristan's face darkened slightly, "Did I say I wouldn't save you?"
"Tristan, you're not planning something, are you?" Lark tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled, "I know you're capable, but I advise you not to try anything funny."
"The Romanov family is worried about my safety and specially arranged people to protect me. Not even a fly can get in here."
"If you're thinking about snatching Dr. Smith from me, I advise you to give up that idea early and not seek your own death. After all, bullets don't have eyes."
Tristan smiled, "You don't need to remind me that your bodyguards are armed."
"If I get divorced, what's the point of our deal."
"I'll go calm Harriet down first. As for our deal, let's set it for three days from now. You pick the location."
Lark smiled with satisfaction, "Alright."
Tristan left directly, and Uma also pushed Gemma away.
Lark stared at the elevator, lost in thought.
"What's wrong?" York Walker, the middle-aged man who had been with her, stepped forward and asked.
Lark looked at that noble, upright figure, "York, although Tristan is young, he's deep and unpredictable. We must not let our guard down."
"Please rest assured, I will protect your safety. Besides, Mr. Romanov will soon send people to Emberfall to take charge. Nothing will go wrong."
"Keep a close eye on Dr. Smith. Give her whatever she wants, just don't let her leave here even one step."
"Yes."
Tristan returned to Cloud Bay but was stopped by the bodyguards at the front gate.
"Mr. Lancaster, I'm sorry, Mrs. Lancaster gave orders not to let you step foot inside."
Tristan: "So you're listening to her and blocking me?"
The bodyguard looked troubled, "Mrs. Lancaster said if we can't stop you, we don't need to work here anymore."
"Mrs. Lancaster is usually the most soft-hearted, but when she gets angry, she won't be questioned. We don't dare disobey."
"Mr. Lancaster, why don't you call Mrs. Lancaster and ask her to come out so you two can talk it over?"
Tristan closed his eyes, "Forget it, let her cool down. I'll leave."
Upstairs.
The master bedroom was pitch dark.
Harriet stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, hidden in the darkness, holding binoculars and observing outside.
After the Rolls-Royce drove away, a light suddenly appeared in a corner not far away.
Harriet could tell it was the light from a phone screen.
It seemed their every move was being watched!
