Chapter 62 I am unhappy
"Sir, Madam is back," Victoria's voice came from outside.
He lifted his head, his body cold, and looked at Victoria as she entered the room. He looked at her with a smile that was not quite a smile.
Victoria walked in and saw him looking at her coldly. She swallowed and finally stepped forward. "You know everything..."
The next moment, the things on the table were pushed to the ground with a loud noise, and even some bills fell on her.
She didn't dodge, standing in front of him, bowing her head deeply.
"Well done, you've made it to the hot search by stealing someone's man. Do you really like that man?" Brandon asked.
Victoria didn't know what the hot search was, but today's events had caused a big stir and she knew people would talk about it. In fact, she knew that provoking Dylan from the beginning in the mall would make him angry.
She had always remembered what Fernando had said to her. Even if a man didn't love her, no man would want to wear a green hat, especially not Brandon.
"He's my first love..." Victoria said, biting her lip.
"You..." Brandon's eyes flashed with coldness.
Victoria looked at him miserably. "I know it's wrong to use your money to get back at Erica. I'll save up and pay you back. This is the last time. Once we divorce, I won't use you again."
Brandon laughed.
He laughed even though he was angry.
He stood up and looked at her face, which was calm but filled with sadness.
"Wanna divorce me and go back to your first love?" he said. She stared at him with wide eyes.
Brandon continued, "But there's no way you're leaving."
Victoria was puzzled and reached out to grab his arm.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because I'm not happy, and I don't want to give you what you want. If you want me to divorce you, then you better make me happy," he replied slowly.
"But...aren't you with Diana?" Victoria tried to say, but the words got stuck in her throat. She wanted to say that he ruined their child, but she held back. It would only make her look worse.
His expression turned cold, and he gave her a deep look before turning around and walking out of the study.
Victoria looked at the mess on the floor and felt lost.
How could she make him happy and let him forgive her...
As soon as she returned to her room, she received a call from Darian.
"Victoria, I saw the news. What's going on? Aren't you and your husband doing well? I was even planning to invite you over to show me your child. Why did you end up in the news with Erica? It's not good," he said.
Victoria said, "It's not my fault."
"It is still your fault," Julia snatched the phone, "How shameless of you to steal Erica's man and let your in-laws see it. What kind of impression do you think you've made?"
It was all her fault anyway.
"And you even smashed the car. You really have no shame. Erica was so scared that she cried all the way back. You just wait and see." Victoria snorted, "I paid for the damages."
"You..."
However, they both realized that Victoria's man could afford to pay for the damages, so they didn't say anything more.
On the other side, Diana watched the news with anger and thought to herself, Victoria was really something. Even after all this, Brandon still didn't divorce her.
But her biological clock was ticking...
She thought for a moment and suddenly remembered her ex-boyfriends. She secretly called one of them, "Long time no see...I, I kind of miss you. Hilton Hotel room 903, would you like to come and see me?" Since Brandon wouldn't touch her, she had to find another way to get pregnant...
The next day, Victoria received a call from the company, informing her that she could return to work anytime.
However, at that moment, Brandon suddenly walked in.
"The family is going to the mountain villa for summer vacation. You're coming too."
Victoria looked up, "Is it necessary for me to go so suddenly?"
Brandon looked at her with a troubled expression and furrowed his brow. "It's your mess, who else is going to go?"
"Me?"
"Yes, don't you remember the news you caused?"
Victoria was speechless. She didn't expect the incident to escalate to the point where it affected her family. This was like lifting a rock only to drop it on her own feet.
She felt a twinge of regret.
"I found a job, though. I need to take some time off."
Brandon's face darkened.
"You found a job?"
"Yes."
Brandon seemed to be suppressing his anger and gave her a glance. "Do as you please," he said before storming off.
When she arrived at the company, the HR manager took her to handle the procedures. Victoria said, "I might be a little late for my start date."
Thanks to Grayson's recommendation, the HR manager was very polite to her. "Do you need to hand over your work from your previous job? No problem, we understand," the HR manager said.
Victoria nodded gratefully, but she saw a familiar face looking at her in surprise.
"Victoria, is that really you? I thought I saw someone with the same name," said a woman with slightly blonde hair who walked out with a smile.
It was her college classmate, Yesenia.
Victoria was also surprised. "You work here too?"
"Yes, I heard you got married and became a rich man's wife. I was so surprised. I remember you had such good grades," Yesenia said, still smiling.
Victoria knew they were talking about her marrying an old rich man. She smiled wryly and said, "Don't listen to those rumors. If it were really that good, why would I bother to find a job and not just be a rich lady at home?"
"I don't believe those rumors when I see you here," she laughed. She happily grabbed Victoria, and their relationship had always been good. Yesenia was also naive and enthusiastic, liked chasing stars, and had a straightforward personality. Victoria was surprised and happy to have a companion here in the future.
"By the way, have you married?" she asked in surprise.
Victoria's eyes flickered, "I am married...but not as they say."
Yesenia became more curious, but the supervisor came over, and she could only say, "I'll tell you when I have time."
"Well, we will work together in the future, and there will be plenty of opportunities," Yesenia said.
Victoria left and went back to the villa. On the way to the mountain villa, Brandon didn't say a word. He had someone ask around and found out that Grayson had helped Victoria secure the job. Otherwise, with his covert influence, no one would dare to hire her. When they arrived, Fernando noticed that something was off between the two. He smiled and said to Brandon, "I saw those rumors online. Brandon, you're good at everything, but you don't understand the thoughts of young girls. That's why you let an unknown person like Lu steal the limelight. You should pay more attention."
One sentence made Brandon's face darken even more.
