Chapter 61 Don't believe
Elijah looked at Victoria and asked, "Madam, who bullied you just now?"
Victoria glanced at the shop assistant beside her.
The shop assistant didn't move.
"What do you mean?" Victoria thought she couldn't do anything to her, so she became proud again. Victoria walked over and pointed at the shop assistant, "It's her. She said I stole things from here and that I couldn't afford the accessories here."
Elijah sneered, "It's your honor that our young lady likes the things here. Where is the manager?"
Outside, the manager who knows when came over in a hurry. "What happened here?"
"This shop assistant actually said that our young lady stole things."
Heidi nodded repeatedly, "And she even wanted to search our bags."
The manager was stunned and quickly glared at the shop assistant beside him, "What are you doing?"
The shop assistant lowered her head and said, "Because the bracelet in the shop was indeed missing, right after they tried it on..."
"Ridiculous! Hurry up and apologize to the young lady! The young lady can take whatever she wants here. Do you think she needs to steal your bracelet?" Elijah said coldly.
What does he mean? The shop assistant looked up in surprise.
The manager said, "This shop is owned by someone else. What do you think?"
This brand's store is actually...owned by Victoria's husband's family?
Heidi immediately laughed in surprise, "Wow, that's how it is...it makes sense. Victoria's family owns too many stores, she must have forgotten."
Erica and Dylan couldn't help but exchange a glance. Erica's eyelashes trembled. Was Victoria's husband's family really that powerful? She suddenly thought of the time when the Griffin Family came to their house to propose to her. Dylan's eyes darkened. Should they go back and investigate who the owner of this store was? That way, they could find out who Victoria had married. The clerk finally realized their mistake and trembled as they said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were the boss lady. It's all my fault..." Elijah spoke up, "Alright, instead of blaming the customer for losing something, shouldn't you first blame yourself for being negligent? I don't think this clerk is very competent." The manager quickly agreed, "Yes, yes, you can go settle your salary now." "No, manager, it was my mistake... Boss lady, I won't do it again, please forgive me this time." Victoria wasn't that forgiving. She glanced at the clerk and saw Erica quickly avoiding her gaze and pulling Dylan, saying, "Since it's a misunderstanding, we won't disturb Victoria anymore." Lu Xijue bit his lip, looked at Victoria, and quickly walked out. "Hey, why did they leave so soon?" Heidi hadn't finished speaking yet, but Victoria pulled her down.
"Victoria, what's up?" Victoria took out a bracelet from her pocket and showed it to Heidi.
Heidi was surprised, "This is..."
"I found it in my pocket earlier. She secretly put it in there," Victoria said calmly.
Heidi understood and said angrily, "That's despicable. How could someone be so bad?"
Victoria replied, "Never mind, let's ask Assistant Hayes for help."
"Miss, it's my duty. Let's go back now. Mr. Griffin is waiting for you at home," Assistant Hayes said.
Victoria nodded, and Elijah went to get the car while Victoria and Heidi waited outside.
Meanwhile, Dylan and Erica drove out in silence. Erica saw Victoria and Heidi standing by the roadside.
She bit her pale lip, feeling jealous of the way someone had stood up for her inside. She was burning with jealousy.
Why should Victoria be so proud when she had already left the Griffin family?
Erica looked at Dylan, who was driving, and suddenly shouted, "Ah... there's a cockroach!"
She lunged forward, and Dylan was startled, causing the car to swerve.
Outside, Victoria and Heidi saw a car coming towards them.
Victoria tried to dodge, but was still hit by the car and fell to the ground in a panic.
She held her stomach, feeling as if her heart had stopped.
Heidi was also startled and quickly helped Victoria up.
Looking up, they saw Dylan and Erica, both pale-faced, getting out of the car.
Erica exclaimed, "Victoria, are you okay?" and tried to help her up, but was pushed away by Heidi.
"What are you doing? It's all because of you guys. You almost killed us. Erica, how could you be so malicious?"Heidi scolded.
Erica stumbled back from the push.
Dylan hurried over and gave a deep look at Victoria, who was still pale-faced. "It was me driving, not Erica's fault," he said.
Heidi looked at Dylan and said, "So you're the one who wants to kill people? Dylan, you're really something. You're even willing to go to jail for this."
"That's not true," Erica quickly interjected. "It's all my fault. I suddenly saw a cockroach and scared Dylan. If you want to blame someone, blame me. I'll take the blame for Dylan. Don't blame him. I'm sorry."
Dylan looked at Erica, who was now crying.
Victoria and Heidi looked at her with disdain.
Victoria sneered, "Okay, you're crying as if you were the one hit by the car. Erica, it's really amazing that you can see a cockroach in a Ferrari. I'm really impressed."
Dylan was furious. "What are you insinuating? Erica has already apologized. What more do you want?"
Victoria couldn't help but touch her stomach. If the car had hit them any harder, the consequences would have been unimaginable. Anger rose in her chest and she suddenly said, "What do you want?"
As she spoke, Victoria turned to Elijah, who was coming up from behind. "There are others following us, right?" Elijah hesitated. "Yes."
"I don't like that car. Smash it for me."
What?
Everyone was surprised. However, Elijah looked at Victoria's determined expression and nodded, giving a signal to the bodyguards who were following behind. Several burly men suddenly rushed over, wielding baseball bats and smashing the brand new Ferrari.
"Victoria, what are you doing?"
"You can't do that, Victoria. It's illegal, it's..."
Dylan and Erica's faces turned pale as they looked at Victoria as if she were a stranger. Meanwhile, a crowd had gathered behind them.
What were these people doing? Why were they smashing a car, and a Ferrari at that? They hardly ever saw these cars, let alone someone smashing one!
As Dylan watched his beloved car being smashed, he knew it was now nothing more than scrap metal. His eyes were bloodshot as he pointed at Victoria and shouted, "Victoria, how could you do this? You...you dare to smash my car, we're not finished yet."
Victoria snorted and turned to Elijah behind her. "Do you have the money? How much do we need to pay for the damages?"
Elijah looked down on Dylan and replied disdainfully, "Miss, don't worry. Here's my lawyer's business card. Let Mr. Lu talk to our lawyer directly." Victoria took the card and threw it directly at Dylan's face. "Did you hear that? If you want to talk about compensation, you can go talk to them."
That day, a sensational news story made headlines. Someone had openly smashed a Ferrari near a shopping mall in Jiading.
"Suspected of fighting over a boyfriend, a wealthy woman openly smashed a Ferrari and threw the compensation in the man's face, making for a thrilling scene."The topic of fighting over a boyfriend naturally attracted more attention. Some people said that the world of the wealthy was truly exciting. Others wondered who this man was that had caused these sisters to fight over him.
In his study, Brandon clenched his fists tightly as he read the news online.
