Chapter 159
"Jason!"
The moment we stepped into the restaurant, Flora excitedly ran over.
Her little face was flushed red, and she looked at Jason with shy, timid eyes, "What a coincidence! Running into each other like this, it must be a special fate from heaven!"
Jason looked at her coldly and stingily uttered one sentence, "Who are you?"
Flora's expression changed slightly, and her eyes welled up with hurt, "I'm Flora. We've met before, at the Scott family's party. I even went out of my way to say hello to you."
I stood quietly to the side, observing Jason's expression.
From what I knew about Jason, even though Flora said that, he probably had no idea who she was.
But Jason's face looked pretty unpleasant, and he pulled me along and headed straight into the restaurant.
Flora caught up and blocked our way.
She looked at Jason accusingly, "I'm talking to you. How can you just walk away?"
Jason said coldly, "I have nothing to say to people who don't matter."
Flora's face instantly turned pale.
I shook my head quietly to myself.
Looking at Flora, she was clearly someone raised pampered at home. She couldn't handle just one sentence. For working people, this was completely trivial.
Flora's eyes reddened, tears welling up.
She bit her lower lip tightly, looking pitiful and wronged.
She suddenly glanced at me, then looked at Jason, "I'm a girl, and what you're saying is really hurtful!"
Jason: "Then why aren't you leaving?"
Flora was stunned, "What? I came to talk to you."
"Didn't you say I was being hurtful? I've already hurt you, so why aren't you leaving? Unless you have some interest in being abused?"
Jason sneered.
Flora's face turned completely white.
Her lips trembled uncontrollably, and tears fell beyond her control.
When Jason's mouth wasn't saying sweet nothings, it was really vicious.
Flora ran away crying.
Not only did Jason show no guilt, he actually let out a breath, "Finally gone, so annoying!"
I looked up at him and couldn't help asking, "Are you being this mean because I'm here?"
"No, except for you, I'm equally vicious to all women who covet me."
Jason looked at me affectionately, "Sue, my tenderness is reserved only for you."
Me: "Well, thanks a lot."
After dinner, it was still early.
I suddenly thought of watching a movie and blurted out, "Jason, want to go see a movie?"
Jason's eyes lit up, "Sure, let's go to a private cinema."
"No, let's go to the regular theater. More people, more lively, the viewing experience will definitely be better."
I shook my head in refusal.
Jason's face instantly darkened, and he pouted, "Those places are so boring."
I stared at his face intently, and really couldn't hold back. I slapped Jason on the shoulder.
"Isn't kissing at home enough? Can you act normal when we go out? Stop embarrassing yourself!"
Jason looked wronged.
In the end, we still picked a movie in the regular theater.
Not long after sitting down, just as the movie started, before I could even begin my pleasant viewing experience, the sound of a couple kissing behind us completely interrupted my good mood.
I took a deep breath and told myself.
It's okay, it's okay, they're just kissing, they'll definitely finish soon.
But these two people's mouths seemed glued together, kissing endlessly!
My mouth twitched.
Jason beside me had a dark expression, and his fists on his legs were clenched so tight they were making sounds.
Seeing he was about to lose his temper, I immediately pressed down on his hand.
Jason looked at me confused.
I gently shook my head at him.
Then I turned around, staring straight at the couple who wouldn't stop kissing.
The pressure around Jason dropped even lower.
He reached out to cover my eyes. I pushed his hand away and continued staring at the couple.
He whispered in my ear, "Stop looking!"
I replied in a voice all four of us could hear, "Don't worry about it, I'm going to keep watching until they're too embarrassed to continue! Being this eager in public, I need to watch them so they don't have a baby right here!"
The heavy atmosphere around Jason dissipated.
He leaned close to my ear, "Then look at the woman, don't look at the man."
Why did this still sound so jealous?
I casually coaxed him, "Don't worry, he's not as handsome as you, I'm not interested at all."
Only then was Jason satisfied, contentedly sitting back down.
Under my naked, direct stare, the couple finally couldn't take it anymore and awkwardly separated.
Only then was I satisfied and turned back to continue watching the movie.
Jason brought the popcorn to my mouth.
I took a bite.
"Is it sweet?"
Jason asked.
I nodded, "Pretty sweet."
Jason corrected me seriously, "No, the popcorn isn't as sweet as you."
His mouth was even sweeter.
My face heated up uncontrollably, "Just watch the movie!"
Since having Jessica, I hadn't been to a movie theater.
At most I'd watch at home, but compared to the theater, there was still a big difference.
Jason brought the cola to my mouth.
I took a sip.
The ice-cold cola danced on my taste buds.
I squinted contentedly. Popcorn, ice cola, and a handsome man waiting on me—this feeling was just too good!
Coming out of the theater, Jason was still going on about the private cinema.
I glanced at him and cleared my throat, "This time was an accident. We won't run into such rude people every time. Next time will definitely be a better experience."
Only then did Jason's expression improve.
My gaze suddenly fell on a cake shop not far away.
I'd seen it online before, supposedly very good.
I stopped, "Jason, I want to eat cake from this place."
It was a popular online shop with a long queue at the door.
Jason just glanced at it and nodded without hesitation.
"Okay, you sit over there and wait for me."
With that, he strode over to join the queue.
I sat down nearby with a smile, my gaze falling on Jason from afar.
Jason was tall with long legs, handsome and good-looking. As soon as he joined the queue, he attracted quite a few girls' attention.
But he stood there expressionless, his aura too cold, scaring off everyone who wanted to approach him.
I watched from afar, liking what I saw more and more, and couldn't help taking out my phone to take a photo of Jason.
Just as I took out my phone, someone grabbed my wrist.
I instinctively shook it off hard and turned to see the man who had been kissing his girlfriend passionately in the theater, now staring at me with a sleazy smile.
"You kept staring at me in the theater earlier. You like me, right?"
Was this guy's brain damaged?
Where did he get the idea that I liked him?
The man grinned wickedly, "We're fated to run into each other here. Come with me, I'll let you experience what a real passionate kiss is. Don't worry, I'm very skilled, I'll definitely satisfy you."
