Chapter 95 Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Armando hung up on Sherry.
Sherry felt a bit awkward after Armando ended the call.
She smiled at the audience and said, "Looks like Mr. Johnson's busy. Let me try calling him again."
Before the singing segment on the show, contestants had a chance to call someone close to them for a few words of encouragement.
Sherry chose to call Armando. The first time, he hung up.
Now she was trying again.
Armando, sitting in his car, watched as Elizabeth lazily walked out of the dumpling restaurant.
After she left, he got out of the car.
He walked into the restaurant, looked at the menu, and ordered some dumplings to go.
His phone rang. He glanced at it and ignored it.
Back at the show, Sherry heard the unanswered tone again.
She shrugged at the audience and said, "Looks like Mr. Johnson is really tied up. I'll call someone else."
She decided to call her mom.
Tom, sitting in the passenger seat, was lost in thought, surrounded by the smell of dumplings.
In the back seat, Armando was eating the dumplings.
After finishing, Armando coldly remarked, "The taste is just okay. Let's head back to the Johnson Group."
Tom thought to himself, if it's just okay, why did you finish them?
Kade drove towards the Johnson Group.
Sherry finished recording the show and had dinner. By the time she got back to Imperial Garden, it was already past 8 PM.
At this hour, she didn't see Armando home, so she called Tom.
"Mr. Davis, does Armando have any plans tonight?"
Tom looked at the office lights reflecting on the glass and answered, "Mr. Johnson is still working."
So, he was at the Johnson Group.
Sherry thanked him and hung up.
No wonder Armando hadn't answered her calls. He was really busy.
That night, Armando didn't return to Imperial Garden. Instead, he rested at the Johnson Group's lounge.
Elizabeth, after eating, went home and took out her phone.
She registered a new Instagram account with the username "TheRealYvonne."
She tagged the impostor and posted, "I'm a low-key person, but being too low-key has led to someone impersonating me. Hello everyone, I'm the real Yvonne. Madam Impostor, maybe you should get your head checked at a mental hospital?"
Quin Agency shared Elizabeth's post.
Jessa, her fingers trembling with excitement, also shared Elizabeth's post.
Jessa: Elizabeth just called someone a lunatic outright. Respect.
She was now a fan of Elizabeth.
Usually, clarifications are more tactful, not outright calling someone a lunatic.
Soon, the fans causing a ruckus on Quin Agency's website moved to Elizabeth's new account to criticize her.
"What's your proof that you're Yvonne?"
"Show the evidence, or I'll sue you."
"Where's the proof?"
Jade Marie saw the post from the real Yvonne.
She panicked and quickly called Della, the one who advised her.
Della answered Jade's call and had also seen the post.
She reassured her, "Don't worry. I doubt she has any proof. Otherwise, she wouldn't just post a single clarification."
Elizabeth had only posted one clarification without any evidence.
The online community wasn't convinced.
Jade felt relieved after Della's reassurance, "Right, she didn't provide any proof."
Jade's family was in heavy debt.
Every night, she performed on the streets, playing piano and singing for extra money.
Recently, Della contacted her, offering money if she pretended to be Yvonne.
The debt was suffocating Jade, so she accepted Della's offer.
Money was crucial for her.
Besides, she didn't think she was doing anything too terrible.
After hanging up, Jade looked at her Instagram, imagining herself as Yvonne.
Her account now had millions of followers.
She hoped the real Yvonne couldn't provide proof.
After posting on Instagram, Elizabeth logged out.
Every scheme unfolds in steps.
She planned to let the mastermind behind this enjoy their moment before everything fell apart.
Della called Sherry to update her about the real Yvonne's post and reassured her that Jade had been calmed down.
Sherry checked Instagram and saw the real Yvonne's comment section filled with doubts and insults. She smirked, "Thanks, Della. Got it."
As long as there was no proof, no one would believe she was Yvonne.
As a secretary, Elizabeth sometimes had to deal with Yosef's affairs with his lovers.
Elizabeth, with a cold expression, got into the car and closed the door. She said to Uriah, "You can drive now."
Yosef, smoking, also had a cold expression.
His shirt was already unbuttoned in frustration.
Elizabeth looked at the scratch on her hand.
Mina's nails were sharp, and the scratch left a mark on her hand.
Elizabeth took a deep breath and took the cigarette from Yosef's fingers, putting it out in the ashtray.
She looked at Yosef, "I've arranged for a hospital visit."
Yosef turned to her, "Why the hospital?"
Elizabeth wanted to yell at him. What a mess. She said irritably, "To get blood tests, to see if you've caught anything. And I need to get tested too."
Yosef's gaze fell on the scratch on Elizabeth's hand.
"Sorry."
His previously fierce expression softened.
Who would've thought Mina had another boyfriend, Zaid?
And she lied to Yosef about being single!
Tonight, Yosef had spontaneously decided to visit Mina, only to overhear her arguing with Zaid.
Zaid had a sexually transmitted disease.
Yosef always asked his lovers if they were single and required health checks before starting any relationship.
When he first started seeing Mina, she had a health check and was fine.
But now, who knows.
Elizabeth gave Yosef a look that said, "Good luck."
She only had a scratch, so the chance of catching anything was very low, but Yosef wasn't so sure.
He had been with Mina recently.
He usually had one steady partner, but this time, he was unlucky.
The car arrived at the hospital.
Yosef and Elizabeth both got their blood drawn.
"Get some ointment for your hand."
Yosef looked at her hand, which was red and swollen.
Before Elizabeth could respond, she heard Timothy's voice.
"Elizabeth?"
Timothy was walking by the blood draw area and saw Elizabeth.
Elizabeth quietly turned around, looking at Timothy as he approached.
She hadn't planned on telling him why she was at the hospital.
After all, it was a tricky situation to explain.
Timothy glanced at Yosef, then looked at Elizabeth, "Why are you at the hospital?"
"It's nothing serious," Elizabeth raised her hand, showing the scratch, "Just a little scratch."
The blood test results would take five days.
Yosef was in no mood, doubting everything.
Seeing Elizabeth and Timothy had things to discuss, he excused himself.
Timothy took Elizabeth to his office and used a cotton swab and antiseptic to treat her wound.
"Who scratched you?"
Timothy tossed the cotton swab and lifted Elizabeth's face, bending slightly, one hand on the chair armrest.
"Yosef's lover."
Elizabeth made a zipping motion across her lips, "The rest is private. I can't say."
Timothy gave her a look.
Timothy's gaze was quite flirtatious.
Elizabeth blushed, leaning in to kiss him, but then thought better of it, deciding to wait for the blood test results.
Even though her chances of catching anything were very low, she needed the results for peace of mind.
He brushed her lips with his thumb, "Why not kiss me?"
Elizabeth pretended to be serious, "This is a hospital, we can't be inappropriate."
She looked up at him, suddenly feeling shy, "Mr. Robinson, if I had a disease, would you still want me?"
"What kind of disease?" Timothy raised an eyebrow.
"A sexually transmitted disease."
Timothy was silent.
