Chapter 360 Find Someone to Investigate Brandon
Seraphina told Stefan to wait for her while she went upstairs to take a shower and quickly get ready before heading out.
Before leaving, she high-fived Brandon.
"Brandon baby! Let's make today count!"
"Seraphina baby! Let's make today count!"
After their high-five, Brandon and Seraphina looked at each other with teary eyes, cheering themselves on for getting up early to exercise.
Elizabeth's lips twitched slightly.
Both Brandon and Seraphina loved to sleep in, so getting up early to exercise was a big deal for them.
"Mom, I'll skip breakfast. I'll grab some bread on the way," Seraphina said while changing her shoes. "I'm heading to work now."
"Okay, go ahead," Elizabeth watched Seraphina leave, then turned to see Brandon already eating his cake. She looked at Timothy, who had just finished showering. "Mr. Robinson, when you pick up Brandon from school this afternoon, take him to get a haircut."
Timothy nodded. "Okay."
While Brandon was focused on his cake, Timothy's large hand cupped the back of Elizabeth's head.
Timothy and Elizabeth shared a quick kiss and quickly pulled apart.
At that moment, Seraphina got into Stefan's car downstairs.
Stefan handed Seraphina the breakfast he had already bought. "Dione, I got you breakfast."
Seraphina took the breakfast and opened it to eat. "Thanks."
Stefan started the car and drove off smoothly.
"Last night Chairwoman Johnson had some really strong drinks, that's why I was helping her. Dione, in another month, I'll be leaving the Robinson Group." Stefan explained slowly.
It wasn't that he thought dating was the most important thing in life, or that he was quitting just because Seraphina wanted him to.
He himself felt there was no need to stay at the Robinson Group any longer.
Hearing Stefan explain on his own, Seraphina was in a pretty good mood. This proved he cared about her.
It was about Stefan's attitude - the fact that he would explain meant a lot.
She ate her breakfast and nodded. "Okay, got it. When you're free, I want to take you home to meet my parents."
Stefan smiled. "I'm free anytime. When would be convenient for me to visit?"
Seraphina thought for a moment. "Let me ask my dad and mom about their schedule first, and see when works best for them."
"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" After filling her own stomach, Seraphina turned to check on Stefan.
She knew he must have already eaten.
"I already ate," Stefan was used to getting up early. "Dione, do your parents have any preferences I should know about? I need to buy gifts for the visit."
Seraphina laughed. "We're not even married yet, and you're calling them mom and dad? My parents don't have any special preferences, but they're vegetarians."
"Your parents are my parents too." Stefan said shamelessly.
Stefan first dropped Seraphina off at Seraphina Enterprises, then drove back to the Robinson Group.
The distance between the two companies was only about ten minutes by car.
Stefan parked and went up to his office.
When Declan Ross saw Stefan arrive, he looked like he'd seen hope and said in a low voice, "Mr. Hensley, Ms. Robinson is here."
Ever since Jane had stormed into the company trying to barge into the office, Declan had been especially scared of her.
Declan really admired Stefan's courage to stop her that time.
Stefan thanked Declan.
If Jane was here, she was here - as long as she wasn't causing trouble, it was fine.
In the office.
Jane pulled out a photo from her purse, her expression dark.
She placed the photo on the desk, clearly in a very bad mood.
"Sloane, one of my fans took this photo at the airport when they were picking me up a while ago." Jane's voice carried anger and unease.
This fan was one of her biggest supporters, and they had each other's contact info. The fan had accidentally sent this photo to Jane along with the others.
Seeing Jane's mood was off, Sloane picked up the photo with confusion and looked at it carefully.
The photo only showed the backs of a man and a child.
Sloane looked up at Jane and asked, "Who are they?"
Jane clenched her fists, her voice filled with resentment. "Sloane, if I'm not wrong, this man is Timothy, and that child - I'm not sure, but I have a bad feeling."
Sloane looked at the photo carefully again in surprise. "Jane, are you sure it's him?"
Jane had examined the photo closely. Although it was just a back view, the man's build and presence felt very familiar to her.
"I think it's him! I've watched the video from Tommy and my 100-day celebration many times, and I also dug out his photos from over ten years ago to compare."
"Sloane, could the little boy next to him be..." Jane said uncertainly with hatred in her eyes. "I suspect that's his and Elizabeth's child."
Sloane looked at the photo thoughtfully, various guesses flashing through her mind.
Sloane said softly, "Jane, let me have someone investigate. I'll keep this photo."
Jane nodded. "Okay."
Over these past ten-plus years, Timothy and Elizabeth had kept their private lives very low-key. They rarely appeared at social events.
Even if Sloane had someone investigate, they might not find anything.
Jane left the office in a bad mood.
She opened the door and walked out quickly, running right into Stefan who was about to knock.
"Can't you watch where you're going?" Jane didn't apologize after bumping into someone, she just scolded him directly. "Move."
Stefan calmly stepped back, cursing his bad luck internally. "Sorry."
Seeing it was Stefan, Jane remained displeased. She glared at him, then quickly left.
Stefan knocked on the door and entered the office.
Sloane sat at her desk, holding a photo and seeming to think about something.
When she saw Stefan come in, she opened a drawer and put the photo inside.
"Chairwoman Johnson, it's almost time for the meeting." Stefan stood before Sloane to report.
Sloane nodded. She stood up, closed her laptop, and took it with her. "Let's go."
After the meeting ended, Sloane finally had time to start investigating Timothy and the others.
She called a private investigator named Atlas. "I want you to look into Elizabeth, the person in control behind Seraphina Enterprises, and Timothy from the Robinson family - whether they have a son together. You must be careful when investigating and don't get caught."
Atlas on the other end of the line promised confidently that he absolutely wouldn't be discovered.
Sloane hung up the phone.
She took the photo out of the drawer again and looked at it repeatedly, her cool gaze falling on Brandon.
She wondered if Brandon was really their child.
All this time, they had thought Timothy and Elizabeth only had one daughter, Seraphina, who had already died.
