Chapter 359: The Best Mommy in the World
When Elizabeth woke up at night, she found Timothy wasn't beside her.
She yawned, threw off the covers, got out of bed and walked out of the bedroom.
After looking around, she found Timothy in the study.
"Honey, why aren't you sleeping at this late hour?"
Elizabeth walked over to the desk. She stood beside Timothy and put her hand on his shoulder.
She bent down slightly to look at the photos on his computer.
"Photos of Stefan and Sloane? You had someone watch him?" she asked in confusion.
Seeing Elizabeth come over in her light pajamas, Timothy first turned up the air conditioning temperature a bit, then reached out to pull her into his arms.
He rested his chin on her shoulder. "Yes, I don't know what kind of person he is, so I had someone observe him."
Elizabeth knew Timothy was doing this for Seraphina's sake, but she was worried that if Stefan found out about this, it might affect the relationship between the two young people.
Timothy knew his life wouldn't last much longer. What he could do was observe the man's situation before Seraphina got married.
Timothy knew what Elizabeth was worried about. He smiled and explained, "Elizabeth, don't worry. I'm just having someone observe how Stefan conducts himself in daily life. As for his private matters or family situation, I'll ask Seraphina first before looking into it."
Elizabeth nodded and asked with concern, "How is this guy Stefan?"
Timothy looked at the photos of the man and woman on the computer, tapping the desk lightly with his finger. "Good-looking, conducts himself well, and from the looks of it, he does have feelings for Seraphina."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "Since everything's good, why do you still look so serious? Is it because he helped Sloane?"
From the photo, it was obvious that Sloane seemed a bit drunk.
Timothy thought for a moment. "Let's keep watching. Technically speaking, what he did wasn't wrong - it was quite gentlemanly."
If Timothy already knew his girlfriend didn't like that woman, he definitely wouldn't help that woman.
Elizabeth cupped Timothy's handsome face with both hands, touching his brow bone with her fingers. "Honey, nobody's perfect. As long as he hasn't actually done anything to wrong Seraphina, let the young people experience their relationship themselves to understand it. We can't interfere too much."
Elizabeth placed her hands on his shoulders and leaned against him. "I'm tired."
Timothy also felt he was worrying too much. He shut down the computer and carried Elizabeth back to the bedroom to sleep.
As soon as the couple returned to the bedroom, they saw Brandon sprawled out sleeping on their bed.
A moment of silence.
How did Brandon end up sleeping on their bed?
Timothy snorted inwardly. "I'll carry Brandon back to his own room."
Brandon was really something, coming over to cause trouble in the middle of the night with his pillow.
Elizabeth stopped Timothy and shook her head. "Forget it, just let him sleep here for the night."
Since Elizabeth had spoken, Timothy had no choice but to let Brandon sleep in the middle for now.
When Brandon woke up in the morning and turned his head to see Timothy, he wasn't particularly happy.
He turned his head in the other direction and sure enough, saw Elizabeth.
Seeing Elizabeth made him so happy.
Just as Brandon was about to wiggle his little body closer to Elizabeth, a big hand stopped him.
Timothy stared at Brandon with a warning look, telling Brandon not to wake Elizabeth.
Timothy got up, picked up Brandon with one hand, grabbed Brandon's pillow with the other hand, and walked out of the bedroom.
Outside the bedroom, he put Brandon down and gave him his little pillow. "Brandon, go back to your room and brush your teeth. Later we'll go out and exercise."
The exercise Timothy mentioned was taking Brandon out to ride bikes.
Brandon hugged his little pillow and watched Timothy walk back into the bedroom and close the door.
Leaving Brandon standing outside alone.
A bit pitiful.
Brandon blinked. He knew - Timothy was jealous!
And he didn't want to exercise anyway.
Riding bikes was fun but tiring. He didn't want to exercise.
Brandon went back to his room, climbed onto the bed, put his pillow on the bed, then lay down, scratched his face, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.
When Timothy finished getting ready and went to Brandon's room, he saw Brandon fast asleep again.
Timothy just stood by the bed and said one sentence: "Brandon, get up and eat cake."
A few seconds later.
Brandon immediately opened his eyes. "Cake? I want to eat it."
He got out of bed quickly and rushed to brush his teeth.
Timothy hadn't lied to Brandon - breakfast did include a small cake for Brandon.
Seraphina was already sitting at the dining table waiting for Timothy and Brandon.
Starting this morning, Seraphina, Timothy, and Brandon were going to exercise together.
They first ate a little something in the morning to tide them over. After about twenty minutes, the three of them quietly walked out of the house.
The riverside park had a dedicated bike path.
Three figures appeared on the path.
Brandon was pedaling his tiny bike, huffing and puffing as he tried hard to keep up with Seraphina. Timothy was slowly pedaling his bike behind Brandon.
At the front was Seraphina. Her bike was custom-made, suitable for her body type and weight.
Her bike had also been modified to make it very difficult for her to pedal.
"Brandon, hurry up and keep up!" Seraphina actually wanted to cry, but to set a good example for Brandon, she had to pedal hard.
Who on earth designed such a difficult bike to ride?
"Seraphina, wait for me! Dad, hurry up!" Brandon didn't forget to call out to Timothy behind him.
Timothy was lazy. "Okay, I'm keeping up." He was even considering not pedaling the bike at all - he could just jog and keep up with Seraphina and Brandon ahead.
Stefan came to Port City Garden this morning specifically to pick up Seraphina for work.
Last night when he helped the drunk Sloane, although he felt he hadn't done anything wrong, he still felt he should explain it to Seraphina.
He checked the time. At this hour, Seraphina should be getting up. He dialed Seraphina's phone.
The phone just kept ringing with no answer.
Just as he was about to call a second time, he saw a familiar figure riding a bike toward him.
Seraphina also saw Stefan. Timothy saw him too. Brandon saw him but didn't recognize him.
Seraphina braked and stopped in front of Stefan. She got off the bike, turned to Timothy with a smile and introduced him: "Dad, this is Stefan Hensley, my boyfriend."
Timothy nodded, giving Stefan a light glance. His gaze carried the aura of someone in a position of authority, making people feel a wave of pressure.
When Stefan heard Seraphina call Timothy 'Dad.'
Stefan immediately straightened up. He hadn't expected to meet his girlfriend Seraphina's father Timothy under these circumstances, which made Stefan a bit nervous.
Timothy really did look very imposing.
Stefan immediately nodded respectfully to Timothy. "Hello, sir."
Timothy nodded slightly. Though his expression was calm, his eyes were full of scrutiny.
He saw that Stefan had a steady temperament and wasn't scared by him - his courage was acceptable.
He turned to Seraphina and said, "I'll take Brandon home first."
The bikes would be left downstairs, and a bodyguard would take them to the bike shed later.
Seraphina nodded, watching Timothy and Brandon leave, then turned to Stefan with a smile. "Did you come to pick me up for work?"
She didn't bring up last night's matter.
Some things she didn't need to mention - bringing them up would make her lose her dignity.
When Elizabeth woke up and didn't see Seraphina, Timothy, and Brandon, she knew they had gone out to exercise.
Elizabeth checked the time and figured they'd be back soon. Just as she thought this, she heard the sound of the door opening.
When Brandon got home and saw Elizabeth, he proudly bragged about how good he was at riding his bike today.
"Mommy, I'm so tired from exercising. Can I have another piece of cake?"
Elizabeth nodded firmly. "Brandon is amazing! I've decided to reward Brandon with a piece of cake!"
"How can there be such a wonderful mommy in the world?" Brandon made a big heart shape.
Elizabeth smiled. "Where's Seraphina?"
Timothy answered this question. "Downstairs. Stefan came."
