Chapter 204 Mommy Hug
As soon as Freya stepped into the restroom, she saw Mabel scolding Jane.
"What are you doing!"
Freya walked over angrily, feeling a surge of anger rising in her chest. An adult bullying a child?
Freya pulled Jane behind her protectively.
Freya didn't know Mabel.
But Mabel could recognize Freya because she had heard before about how deeply in love Freya and Russell were. Out of curiosity, Mabel had paid attention to the Nightingale family.
"Mrs. Nightingale, she pushed my child. Is it wrong for me to ask her to admit her mistake and apologize?" Mabel gently stroked Seraphina's hair, telling her not to be afraid.
Hearing Mabel's words, Freya frowned, clearly not believing it. "That's impossible. My Jane has always been well-behaved. She wouldn't push someone for no reason."
Freya's eyes showed a hint of doubt.
There were no cameras in the restroom.
Freya glanced at Seraphina in Mabel's arms. Seraphina had her back to Freya, so Freya didn't know who she was.
She crouched down and asked Jane, "Jane, tell me what happened, okay?"
Jane had been scared too. She hugged Freya and cried, "Grandma, I'm scared."
"Don't cry, don't cry. I'm here, don't cry." Freya felt nervous too.
Mabel was also angry. Why did it look like she was the one bullying the child?
Elizabeth sat at her table waiting for a while. When she saw that Mabel and Seraphina hadn't returned, she got up to look for them in the restroom.
Emma also went to the restroom to look for them because Freya and Jane hadn't come back either.
Then Emma saw Elizabeth passing by from the side corridor.
Why was Elizabeth eating here too!
Elizabeth and Emma walked into the restroom almost one after the other.
"Elizabeth!"
"Emma!"
The first voice was Mabel's.
The second was Freya's.
As soon as Elizabeth walked in, Seraphina turned around looking upset and wanting a hug. Seraphina had held back her tears for so long, but seeing Elizabeth now, she burst into tears.
Seraphina reached out, "Mommy, hug."
Hearing Seraphina cry, Elizabeth's heart tightened. She took Seraphina from Mabel's arms and comforted her, "Seraphina, be good. I'll hold you, don't cry."
Both Jane and Seraphina were crying in the restroom.
Only then did Freya realize that the little girl who had her back to her was Seraphina, the child of Elizabeth and Timothy.
Freya's face instantly darkened.
Emma also picked up Jane to comfort her.
The manager of ElizaTimo restaurant immediately came to the restroom and kindly asked Elizabeth and the others to go to a private room to resolve the matter.
Elizabeth didn't want to make things difficult for others. She nodded, "Which private room? Please lead the way, thank you."
The group went to the private room.
Juniper had also been in the restroom and had witnessed the whole thing. Out of curiosity, she followed them to the private room.
When Juniper walked into the private room, Freya frowned slightly. Freya thought Juniper was with Elizabeth and the others, so she didn't say anything to make her leave.
Elizabeth, on the other hand, thought Juniper was with Freya's group.
After Seraphina and Jane stopped crying, Mabel clearly explained what had happened.
After listening, Elizabeth looked at Seraphina's palm. Sure enough, the skin was broken, and her heart ached.
As soon as Mabel finished speaking.
Freya said gently, "It's also possible that the two children were running and accidentally bumped into each other. Did you see with your own eyes that Jane pushed her?"
The dissatisfaction and doubt in Freya's words made Elizabeth angry too.
Elizabeth took the tissue from Mabel's hand, wiped Seraphina's nose, and asked softly, "Seraphina, tell me what happened, okay?"
"Mommy, that girl pushed me." Seraphina's big eyes were red, and her little hand clutched Elizabeth's clothes tightly.
Emma frowned instantly. She looked at Jane and asked sternly, "Jane, did you really push her?"
Jane, who had just stopped crying, was suddenly scolded so harshly by Emma. Jane pouted and was about to cry again.
"Don't cry!" Emma said firmly. "Jane, tell me why you pushed her? That behavior is wrong, you know that? When you do something wrong, you have to apologize."
Emma put Jane down. "Go apologize to her!"
Jane pouted, looking at Emma with grievance, then at Seraphina.
Finally, she looked at Freya, who could protect her. "Grandma."
Freya wanted to take Jane away.
Emma shook her head. She crouched down to Jane's eye level and softened her tone, "Jane, no matter what, pushing someone is wrong. Go apologize to the little girl, okay?"
"Mommy, I didn't push her. She bumped into me and fell down herself." Jane said in a small voice with a hint of crying.
She nervously tugged at her dress.
"This..." Emma stood up and looked at Elizabeth. "Mrs. Sherman, my daughter doesn't lie."
She deliberately used this form of address to irritate them.
Elizabeth sneered, "Your daughter doesn't lie, so does that mean mine does?"
Emma sighed, her voice calm. "Let's both just let this matter go, okay? When children play together, getting hurt is unavoidable."
Elizabeth looked down at Seraphina's injured hand and felt angry, but now without evidence, Seraphina could only take the loss.
Juniper, who had been watching the whole exchange, finally spoke up. "Um, I saw what happened. Actually..."
Elizabeth, Emma, and the others all looked at Juniper.
