Chapter 205 Angry
When Juniper saw Elizabeth and the others looking at her, she bit her lip, her expression hesitant.
Juniper didn't know if she should say it.
Elizabeth and the others quietly waited for Juniper to continue.
Juniper quickly glanced at Freya. She thought of Herschel and finally spoke up, "Actually, I saw it. Ms. Sutter's daughter was walking just fine, but Ms. Penrose's daughter was bouncing around and bumped into her. She fell down herself."
Hearing Juniper's words, Elizabeth frowned, anger and hostility rising in her heart.
Elizabeth stared coldly at Juniper.
Under Elizabeth's stare, Juniper straightened her neck even more, "I'm telling the truth. What, you won't let me tell the truth?"
"Are you sure you're telling the truth?" Elizabeth asked coldly.
"I'm sure. I'm just saying what I saw. Believe it or not." Juniper snorted.
Freya felt that Jane had been wronged. Freya frowned and looked coldly at Elizabeth and Seraphina in her arms.
Seraphina looked cute, but at such a young age she had already learned to lie. What would happen when she grew up?
Freya said in a gentle yet somewhat forceful tone, "Ms. Penrose, you've wronged Jane. Even though the kids are still young, if you're wrong, you should apologize to her."
Mabel's face turned red with anger. She was almost furious, "Who knows if Ms. Collins is lying!"
Juniper shrugged, saying indifferently, "I'm not lying. Believe it or not."
Juniper's attitude was enough to make anyone furious.
After five years, Mabel also knew that losing her temper was useless.
Mabel looked at Elizabeth.
Seraphina was very sensitive to adults' emotions. She looked at Elizabeth uneasily, "Mommy."
Elizabeth smiled. She looked down and smiled at Seraphina, then adjusted her position while holding Seraphina, making Seraphina face backward so she couldn't see her grim expression.
She put one hand on the back of Seraphina's head, preventing Seraphina from turning around.
"Mrs. Nightingale, I don't believe Juniper's words. My daughter was bouncing around and bumped into someone and fell? Why didn't Jane bump into anything and fall?" Elizabeth asked leisurely.
Freya just felt Elizabeth was being unreasonable, "What do you mean? Is it wrong that our Jane didn't fall? How can you be so mean!"
Emma also hesitantly spoke up. She was a bit troubled, but for Jane who had just been wronged, she still said, "Ms. Penrose, when children do something wrong, they should be taught what needs to be taught, and apologize when they need to apologize."
Elizabeth smiled, "Ms. Sutter, my daughter didn't do anything wrong. I'll only praise her. I don't believe what Ms. Collins said. My Seraphina just turned four, so naturally she couldn't be lying."
Freya just felt Elizabeth was very good at arguing. She frowned, "Ms. Penrose, as a mother you only know how to protect your child, not how to teach her properly. That's quite irresponsible."
Juniper nodded in agreement, "Right, Mrs. Nightingale is right."
Freya gave Juniper a warm smile.
At this moment, Juniper really felt she had done the right thing this time. Herschel wasn't married yet, and through this incident she at least left a good impression on Freya.
Freya didn't want to waste any more time, "Emma, let's go eat."
Emma nodded. She glanced at Elizabeth, bent down to pick up Jane, and walked out of the private room.
"Wait."
Elizabeth called out to stop Freya and the others.
In this unpleasant atmosphere, Elizabeth suddenly laughed softly, "I have evidence to prove my daughter isn't lying. If I have evidence, Ms. Collins, what will you do?"
Elizabeth looked sharply at Juniper.
Hearing Elizabeth say she had evidence, Juniper felt a wave of unease rise in her heart.
No way, Elizabeth couldn't have evidence.
There were no cameras in the restroom.
Elizabeth must be deliberately trying to scare her.
Juniper glanced at Elizabeth. Seeing Elizabeth's calm face, she hid her inner unease and smiled with difficulty, "You can show the evidence."
Mabel breathed a sigh of relief. If Elizabeth had evidence, that would be good. Mabel glared at Juniper.
Juniper was really terrible, how could she accuse four-year-old Seraphina of lying.
Emma had always known not to take Elizabeth's words lightly. Emma's eyes flickered slightly.
Now Freya already had a bad impression of both Elizabeth and Seraphina. She couldn't let Elizabeth present evidence. Seraphina had lied, that was that.
What could she do to stop Elizabeth from presenting evidence?
Just as Emma was racking her brains to think of a solution.
Under their watchful eyes, Elizabeth...
She took out her phone from her bag.
She slowly said softly, "Do you know why this restaurant is called ElizaTimo? Because Timothy used my name and his to name it."
Emma immediately looked at Elizabeth in disbelief, her eyes widening slightly.
Elizabeth smiled, "You might not know this, but there's a hidden camera installed at the entrance to the ElizaTimo Restaurant restroom, and this restaurant happens to be owned by Seraphina's father, Timothy. I'm calling Timothy to come over right now."
Elizabeth's voice was calm yet cold.
She didn't like people saying her Seraphina was ill-mannered.
She deliberately showed a fierce expression when looking at Juniper.
Juniper was scared and stepped back several steps.
Hearing Elizabeth mention Timothy, Juniper opened her mouth in shock.
Could the Seraphina that Elizabeth was holding not be... not be the child of Jake, that man who had already died?
Juniper instantly thought of the hundred-day celebration five years ago.
Elizabeth was pregnant at that time.
Juniper had thought Seraphina belonged to the Sherman family, after all, Elizabeth was now Jake's wife!
"When the time comes, Ms. Collins had better make sure what you just said was the truth, otherwise Timothy will absolutely, absolutely not let you off."
Elizabeth dialed Timothy's number.
Juniper's face instantly turned very ugly. Elizabeth was actually really calling Timothy.
Seeing Juniper's expression, Elizabeth became more certain that Juniper had lied.
Emma looked down, thinking about what to do next. If Seraphina had lied, things wouldn't be too bad. She was just afraid it was her own daughter Jane.
Timothy answered the phone, and Elizabeth briefly explained what happened.
"I'll come right over." Timothy immediately stopped the meeting. His Seraphina was very well-behaved and would never lie.
"Okay, I'll wait for you."
Elizabeth hung up the phone.
Juniper's legs went weak with guilt, and she wanted to lean on something.
What should she do? When Timothy came over and found out she had falsely accused Seraphina, would she die miserably?
Juniper really wanted to slip away.
Just then, Russell came looking for them.
"Tommy says his stomach hurts. Emma, let's take the child to the hospital." As soon as Russell finished speaking, Emma nervously held Jane and quickly left the private room.
Freya also followed them out worriedly.
Seeing Emma and the others leave, Juniper quickly followed and left too.
Mabel angrily cursed, "Juniper, why are you leaving!"
Emma and the others were rushing to take Tommy to the hospital, and Elizabeth and the others knew they couldn't stop them from leaving.
But why was Juniper running!
Mabel angrily wanted to rush out and drag Juniper back.
"Mabel." Elizabeth called out to Mabel.
"Elizabeth, Juniper is obviously lying and feeling guilty! This is too much! How can she lie about something like this!"
Elizabeth's expression was calm, "Let's take Seraphina to apply medicine first."
She didn't know if Seraphina had been hurt anywhere else when she fell on her bottom.
Actually, there was no camera at the restroom entrance. Because Juniper, this witness, came out and accused Seraphina of bumping into Jane, Elizabeth could only use a trick.
She just wanted to make Juniper panic, and by mentioning Timothy, Juniper, who had given false testimony, would naturally be scared and run away.
Elizabeth would remember this debt!
Since hearing on the phone that Seraphina had been knocked to the ground, Timothy pressed his lips together, holding back his anger.
He drove to ElizaTimo Restaurant but came up empty.
Elizabeth and the others had already left the restaurant.
Timothy called Elizabeth, but the ringtone on Elizabeth's end had just started when it was hung up.
He thought Elizabeth was busy.
He could only call Joe instead.
Joe's face was bitter, silently crying out in distress.
He answered the phone with a heavy heart while secretly praying that Timothy wouldn't fly into a rage.
"Mr. Robinson, Ms. Penrose seems to be angry. She had Robbie drive over to pick her up and won't get in my car." Joe's voice carried a hint of helplessness.
Joe didn't know why Elizabeth was angry.
After all, he hadn't gone to the rooftop restaurant to eat and didn't know exactly what had happened.
Timothy's brow furrowed slightly.
Elizabeth was angry?
He showed a thoughtful expression, "Go ask the restaurant manager and find out exactly what happened today."
