Chapter 121 Servant and Master
Della brought the makeup artist back to the dressing room.
She waited until Sherry's makeup was done and the makeup artist had left before telling Sherry that Jessa was the special guest for this episode.
She wanted to give Sherry a heads-up.
"You need to control your emotions during the recording later."
Della wouldn't normally remind Sherry like this, but Sherry's emotions had been too unstable these past few days.
Sherry was just too quick to anger.
Sherry's face went cold, like someone had hit a nerve. "Why is she on this show again? I see her at every show I'm on. Is Quin Agency deliberately trying to mess with me?"
Just like Elizabeth, always haunting her.
"Keep your voice down."
The dressing room wasn't soundproof.
Sherry closed her eyes, then opened them again. She calmed down and said quietly, "Sorry."
No rush, no rush. Whether it's Jessa or Elizabeth, they won't be laughing for much longer.
Daisy walked into the dressing room next door. She went over to Jessa and whispered a few words in her ear.
"I heard her angry voice from over there."
A slight smile played at the corner of Jessa's mouth. She still remembered almost being assaulted when she went to sing at the bar last time.
If Elizabeth hadn't come to save her, she might not have gotten away unharmed.
That woman called Mindy, trying to stand up for Sherry, had such bad intentions.
The show was about to start. Sherry walked out of the dressing room, and Jessa happened to walk out at the same time.
Sherry gave Jessa a slight smile.
The two walked toward the front stage of the show.
"I really didn't expect Miss Greer and Ms. Penrose to be friends."
Jessa smiled faintly. "I didn't expect Ms. Scott's husband's sister to be Mindy either."
Jessa's dad Ewan and mom Gemma were both regular assembly line workers at a factory.
They came to work in Silverlight City to be with Jessa.
None of the factory employees knew their daughter was the celebrity Jessa.
Ewan and Gemma were both hardworking people.
When Jessa loved singing and chose to enter the entertainment industry, Ewan and Gemma were supportive.
Recently, Jessa had switched to a new company and gained fame with her singing. Ewan and Gemma were happy for her.
Jessa made money and put a down payment on a house in Silverlight City.
She let Ewan and Gemma move in, and now that she had the means, she planned to give them living expenses each month so they wouldn't have to work hard at the factory anymore.
But Ewan and Gemma were diligent people, so they chose to keep working.
That evening, Ewan was working the night shift. He rode his electric scooter home after work.
He often took this route home on his scooter.
Usually there was no danger, but tonight his scooter seemed to hit something, and he suddenly flipped over.
The electric scooter pinned Ewan's thigh.
His head hit the ground, and he couldn't move at all.
A honest-looking young man named Tate, probably in his thirties, happened to be driving by. He braked and rushed out of his car to look.
"Sir, are you okay? Let me help you get the scooter off first."
Tate lifted the electric scooter and parked it properly, then called for an ambulance.
"Sir, I'm calling an ambulance for you now."
Ewan's head and thigh were both hurting, and he couldn't speak.
He was lucky tonight to meet someone willing to get out and help.
In today's society, when many people see someone lying on the ground, they don't dare to help them up.
Seeing that Ewan was still conscious, Tate felt relieved. "Sir, I could actually drive you to the hospital myself - that would be faster - but I don't dare move you."
When the ambulance arrived, Tate followed along to the hospital.
Tate rushed around taking care of everything for Ewan.
When Ewan was pushed into the hospital room, his phone rang. Tate answered it for him.
On the other end was Gemma. She had checked the time and, not seeing Ewan come home from work, called to ask.
She didn't expect to hear news that Ewan had flipped over on his electric scooter.
"Ma'am, don't worry. The doctor said this gentleman just needs to rest for a while and he'll be fine."
Gemma kept thanking him. After hanging up, she grabbed her bank card and rushed to the hospital.
She had thought about calling Jessa on the way, but knowing Jessa had been busy lately, she decided not to tell her about this for now.
Jessa basically video-called Ewan and Gemma every two or three days when she had time.
The day after Ewan was hospitalized.
Jessa called Gemma on video.
When Jessa saw that Gemma's background didn't look like home, she asked, "Mom, you're not at home?"
Gemma decided not to hide it from Jessa anymore. "Your dad flipped over on his electric scooter. He's okay, don't worry. He just needs to rest and he'll be fine."
She turned the camera to show Jessa Ewan in the hospital bed.
Ewan smiled. "Jessa, I'm fine."
Jessa's eyes immediately turned red. "Mom, next time something happens at home, you have to tell me. I'm coming home right now to see Dad."
"Okay, okay, we'll tell you next time. Don't rush. Your dad is fine." Gemma told Jessa to drive carefully and not to hurry back.
Elizabeth learned about Jessa's dad Ewan falling off his electric scooter and being hospitalized from the bodyguard she had sent to protect Jessa.
Since it involved Jessa's family, Elizabeth planned to ask Timothy directly to help investigate whether this accident was really an accident or deliberate.
Rarely, after dinner today, Elizabeth and Timothy had time to go for a walk.
Timothy held Elizabeth's hand. After hearing Elizabeth mention Ewan's situation, Timothy said, "I'll call right now and have my people look into it."
After Timothy finished his call, they continued their walk.
Timothy turned his head to look at Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, this is the first time you've asked me for help."
Elizabeth said, "Yes."
A moment of silence. Timothy snorted.
Elizabeth poked his waist irritably. "What's that for? I'm sincerely thanking you in my heart."
"You can't just poke a man's waist, you know that?"
Timothy said this, but then he took Elizabeth's finger and poked his own waist with it.
Elizabeth was speechless, thinking to herself that he was really childish.
Timothy suddenly remembered something. He said quietly, "Should we stop by the supermarket to buy sheets?"
The sheets at home basically needed to be changed every day or two.
The streetlights had already come on.
The two of them walked on the sidewalk, their shadows stretching long and overlapping.
Elizabeth lifted her long leg - her slender, straight beautiful leg flashed by.
Her foot landed directly on Timothy's shadow on the ground.
Very precisely on the shadow between his legs.
Timothy stopped walking and fell silent.
His cock felt the power of that foot even through the shadow.
"My lady, this servant was wrong. Please lift your noble foot."
Timothy lazily struck the pose of an ancient servant bowing to his master.
Elizabeth fell silent.
"I'm tired of walking. Let's go home."
"It hasn't even been half an hour?"
"I don't feel like walking anymore. Is that not okay?"
When it was time to sleep that night, Timothy tried to get into bed but was kicked out by Elizabeth.
"You're just a servant - you think you can climb into your master's bed?"
Elizabeth lay on her side, one hand supporting her head, her eyes seductive.
To get into bed, Timothy thickened his skin for the sake of a better happy life.
He covered Elizabeth's body with his own, pulled the blanket with his large hand, and covered them both.
The two of them researched new sex positions under the covers.
Elizabeth's foot kicked out from under the blanket, only to be grabbed by a large hand and pulled back in.
Imperial Garden.
Since Sherry hadn't held Sloane in a long time, she had Verity bring Sloane to the bedroom on a whim tonight.
She tapped Sloane's nose with her finger and said to Verity, "Sloane will sleep here with me tonight."
Verity said dutifully, "Ms. Johnson wakes up once during the night for milk."
"Okay, I'll call you when Sloane wakes up."
Since Sherry put it that way, Verity naturally handed Sloane over to her.
Armando hadn't been coming back to Imperial Garden to sleep lately. Sherry thought he was staying at the office or another villa.
With a faint smile on her lips, Sherry took out her phone and took a few cute photos of Sloane.
Suddenly Sherry seemed to think of something.
Sherry's expression changed slightly. She grabbed a coat, put it on, took her phone, and rushed out of the bedroom.
Sherry went to the garage, got in her car, and sped away from Imperial Garden toward Emerald Park.
