Chapter 106 The News of Killing
Elizabeth clutched her stomach with her eyes closed.
Her face looked quite pale and unwell.
Her stomach ached dully.
Her period had come.
What perfect timing for her period to arrive.
Her periods had always been irregular.
A kind female officer gave her some bread and a cup of hot tea.
The lawyer Timothy sent was a top attorney in the industry.
Elizabeth was now eligible for bail, and Timothy was waiting for her outside the police station.
Even with bail, she still had to be available whenever summoned.
She was still a suspect.
Elizabeth placed her hand on her abdomen, looking quite pale as she thanked the lawyer and walked out of the station with him.
As she walked out, Timothy immediately noticed she didn't look well.
He strode over, took her hand - her fingers were ice cold.
Timothy picked her up, put her in the car, fastened her seatbelt, "Elizabeth, your period came?"
He knew her stomach hurt when she got her period.
Usually he would make sure she ate less cold food.
Elizabeth pressed her colorless lips together and nodded.
Timothy got in the car, took out a spare blanket and covered her with it, slipping his hand under the blanket and gently lifting her shirt to massage the pressure points on her abdomen.
"Joe, have the hotel prepare a heating pad and some porridge."
"Hot..."
"Okay, okay, hot milk."
Timothy knew exactly what Elizabeth wanted to say.
He decided that once Elizabeth felt better this time, he would take her to see a doctor and get medicine to regulate her cycle.
He'd suggested it before, but Elizabeth had refused - she didn't like taking medicine.
This time he wasn't going to indulge her.
The moment Timothy picked up Elizabeth from the police station.
Armando received the information.
He looked down at the street below from the 20th floor of the Johnson Group.
The cars coming and going looked quite small when viewed from above.
Just like how he, Armando, was still a small player in Jake and Timothy's eyes.
Ambition - every man has it.
With greater power and more money, many things become easily attainable.
When Tom brought documents into the office, he noticed the obvious coldness emanating from Armando.
"Mr. Johnson, there are two urgent documents, and Mrs. Johnson just called asking if you'll be free to come home tonight."
Elizabeth used to be Armando's wife, now Sherry was Armando's wife.
Armando opened the documents to look at them, "Keep calling her Ms. Scott. I'll go back tonight."
He still had to continue playing the loving couple act with Sherry.
Men really do need to be more ruthless.
Timothy was like a venomous snake.
If Timothy sensed he had feelings for Elizabeth, Timothy would strike at the right moment with a fatal bite.
Back at the Carlton Hotel, Elizabeth was extremely weak.
Timothy handled everything, except for bathing - she did that herself.
"Is the porridge too hot?"
"No, it's fine."
For a grown man, Timothy was very careful when feeding her. Elizabeth just had to open her mouth and eat.
He wiped her lips with a tissue, "Rest against the couch for now. Once you've digested, I'll carry you to bed."
Elizabeth nodded. When she really thought about it, she had no family left.
In ancient times, she'd probably be considered an unlucky person.
As for what Natalia said about her biological parents being someone else, Elizabeth wasn't too eager to find them.
Right now, Elizabeth only cared about Timothy, who was right in front of her.
"Mr. Robinson, if it weren't for you, I think I'd be looking for a heating pad by myself right now, ordering takeout by myself,"
Elizabeth thought for a moment, then added, "Actually no, if it weren't for you, I'd have to find a lawyer first before I could even leave the police station."
Elizabeth yawned, her eyelashes fluttering. She hadn't been able to sleep at all in the police station.
Timothy saw her yawning, tears forming at the corners of her eyes from the lazy gesture, and his lips curved up slightly.
He didn't say anything, because she had already closed her eyes and fallen asleep.
His phone on the table was flashing.
Timothy saw the caller ID showed Joe.
He picked up the phone and went to the study.
"Mr. Robinson, Natalia's body was found at sea, and our people discovered that Mr. Sherman was behind the camera malfunction at the Carlton Hotel this time."
Timothy's lips curled into a cold laugh, "Where is he now?"
Meanwhile.
Jake, who loved nothing more than stirring up trouble, sent the news about Elizabeth possibly killing someone to Sherry.
