CHAPTER 23


"Yes ma'am, you know our capabilities and what we can do, so you can trust us to execute who so ever you desire and we would get it done way faster than you can ever think or imagine." The gang leader spoke in his husky baritone voice that must have been damaged by constant in take of hard drugs.

"Very well then, this is the person, there in the file contains his pictures and every other document that you might need to carry out the job perfectly. His name is Kevin Walter, and I want him to be eliminated without any single trace of his killers because I wouldn't want it to bounce back to me. Here is two hundred thousand dollars, I just don't want any excuses at all." Jenn said commandingly and sinisterly because she hated dull games that could implicate her.

"Alright ma'am, it would be nice doing business with you because I can't believe that there are still people who're so generous with money like you are." Spencer laughed wildly because he was excited because of the money that Jenn paid him and his boys to execute the traitor. She paid them way above the had ever received because the highest payment they had ever received was actually thirty thousand dollars.

"I just don't want any mistakes or excuses." Jenn said and Spencer alighted from her car because that was were she loved doing her dirty deals.

"Kevin is goner and he isn't ready for what's gonna hit him real hard. He would be joining the land of the dead soonest." Jenn said with a wicked smirk on her face. Kevin had gone to work that day feeling so tensed and uneased and weak to do anything. His workers were very worried because that was very unusual of him and the found it really hard to fathom what the problem was. 

Kevin their boss had told them that he wanted to go home immediately but they insisted that he would first be treated or at least receive first aid before he would be let to go because he was very weak in the critical state his health was at the moment.

Kevin instructed one of his male staff precisely his closest male staff Edwin to take his car and go get him an antibiotic tablet from a pharmacy nearby. He trusted only Edwin with anything that concerns the food or anything edible that he eats. Spencer had deployed two of his boys to do the job of taking out Kevin. He gave them the car plate number and a picture of Kevin. 

Edwin had immediately driven out of the office complex when he was double crossed by another car which was filled with two armed guys with face masks on.

"Forgive me, please don't kill me." Edwin tried to plead but they shot him twice in the chest region and he collapsed immediately while they zoomed out of their car. Edwin's body lay on the main road lifeless as paramedics immediately came to the scene and removed his body. The gang boys of Spencer had gone back to deliver the news that they had carried out the mission successfully without much ado. Spencer celebrated them and gave them cash to spend. He also called Victoria to inform her about the good news.

"Ma'am, it's done." Spencer said with pride over the phone and Victoria was filled with happiness because she couldn't believe that her long time nemesis had gone down for her to claim ownership of his wealth.

"I can't believe it, sweetheart, I'm happy to hear the good news. Spencer, you and your boys are the best." Victoria commended them excitedly because she was very pleased with the result. Kevin and his workers had waited a whole while for Edwin to come back so they decided to watch the news together, they were shocked by what they were seeing all over the news. Edwin had been assassinated by suspected assassins. Kevin was very weak because he knew that it was probably him that they wanted but Edwin had to pay the ultimate price with his life. They were all emotional and scared as they were all scared to make any move outside to avoid being assassinated.

"My God, I can't believe this is happening, who could have done this to me." Kevin was visibly scared. Jenn had seen the life documentary from the sane and she burst out into tears because she actually saw Kevin's car there. She still decided to call Kevin to at least clear her doubts.

"Hello Kevin, I saw your car at the assassination scene and I got very scared that you had died," Jenn said sincerely concerned about Kevin's life.

"You don't care about me if not you would have known that I've been sick for a while. Edwin rushed out to get me drugs over that pharmacy, but he was assassinated by only God knows who. I'm freaking scared." Kevin cried out.

"It's bad though. I don't know who you must have offended this time around that decided to hurt you this way but, who do you suspect about this actually." Jenn asked inquisitively as she knew that her life was in great danger too.

"Well, I don't suspect anyone but from the recent happenings of the last few days, I suspect you because you've always threatened my life recently and I know you mean every word you've been saying," Kevin said to the bewilderment of Jenn who was left in awe as she found it hard to believe that Kevin was accusing her of trying to murder him.

"What!!! This is so unbelievable of you but I'm not surprised because your bad character would keep getting you more enemies than you can imagine, I just pray you are safe because I no longer care since you said I'm the one responsible."

Jenn cut the call visibly infuriated and very much angry at Kevin for trying to accuse them of what she knew nothing about. She decided to call Victoria to inform her about the latest happenings so that she too could be safe. She suspected Victoria and she had a strong conviction that Victoria had a hand in the recent happenings and incidents. Victoria was in her sitting room enjoying and doing a celebration about the successful elimination of Kevin.

Victoria believed that Kevin was dead because Spencer's gang boys felt that they had killed Kevin not knowing they killed the wrong person.
