Chapter 28 Chapter 28: Investing in Kola
Selena was still streaming, and since she couldn’t perform contemporary songs, she filled the time by chatting with her audience. The viewers kept sending gifts, and her stream quickly climbed to the top of the platform’s rankings.
For a streamer who had only appeared twice, this was an extremely rare phenomenon, sparking jealousy among other streamers. As a result, they started hiring people to flood her stream with attacks.
“Singing nonsense, and yet a herd of fools is cheering her on.”
“Accused of singing pirated songs, so now she’s doing cheap tricks.”
“Stop listening, no one will let her sing their songs anymore.”
\[Streamer ‘ShadowHawk’ wants to connect with you. Do you accept?\]
Just as the comment section was being overrun with trolls, Selena received a request to connect with another streamer. After a brief hesitation, she pressed accept.
The person who wanted to connect was a young man, and as soon as he appeared, the comment section buzzed with mentions of a composer.
“Hello Amarillis, I’m the composer of 'The Song of the Hill Wind' and 'When Shall We Meet Again.' I also hold the copyright to these two songs. I’m thrilled you chose my works and hope you’ll sing them during today’s stream.”
Having just been mocked for allegedly performing pirated songs, it was a huge honor for the actual composer to personally grant her permission. The troublemakers were immediately silenced, and their comments were even blocked by the platform. Selena’s real fans, on the other hand, were delighted and urged her to start singing.
While the foreign song and lyre performance had been soothing, they still wanted her to sing more familiar tunes.
With the composer’s permission, Selena thanked him and began singing for the audience. Meanwhile, her lyre performance was clipped and uploaded to social media, where it quickly went viral, drawing the attention of professionals both domestically and abroad.
After finishing two songs, Selena realized it was time to prepare lunch for Balthazar, so she bid everyone farewell and ended the stream.
She cut off the stream as decisively as ever, completely ignoring the fans begging her to stay, and didn’t even bother to read the messages sent through the platform.
Her assistant, on the verge of tears, reported to Kevin:
“Boss, she didn’t read my messages.”
Kevin ruffled his hair in frustration and finally said:
“Go check her account registration info, find her contact number, and call her.”
“That’s illegal.”
Kevin frowned and replied:
“The situation is urgent. The more famous she becomes, the more attention she’ll attract. For all we know, BrightVerse Entertainment might already be trying to poach her. If we don’t act fast, we’ll lose everything.”
The assistant bit her lip. She didn’t want Kola to go bankrupt either, so she gritted her teeth and accessed Selena’s registration info. Once she found her phone number, she immediately made the call.
At that moment, Selena was in Balthazar’s office, sitting on his lap, bouncing slightly. She couldn’t believe his strange preferences—wanting intimacy right after a meal. Did he always call a girl to serve him after every meal before she came along?
“Mmm…”
Seeing her distracted, Balthazar bit her nipple, causing her to moan involuntarily.
“How dare you think about something else while you’re with me? Have I not satisfied you yet?”
With that, he thrust hard, his tip hitting her cervix, making her belly contract uncontrollably. He finished deep inside, not wasting a single sperm drop. If she hadn’t been diligent with birth control, she would probably have been pregnant by now.
Riiiiing…
Just as their heated session ended, Selena’s phone rang. She was still panting on his lap, so he answered the call for her.
“Hello, Amarillis? This is Assistant Bella from the Kola platform. We’d like to invite you to become an exclusive streamer. Could we have some time to discuss the benefits and contract details?”
Trying to catch her breath, Selena responded:
“I’ll come to your office.”
She hung up and rested her head on Balthazar’s shoulder. His manhood was still buried inside her tight vagna, and it seemed he had no intention of pulling out.
“Who was that?” Balthazar asked.
Since the voice on the other end was female, his tone wasn’t too heavy. Truthfully, he didn’t care who she interacted with; he was just asking casually.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going against our deal.”
Selena thought he was suspicious of her seeing another man, so she reassured him. However, her words annoyed him.
What did she mean? He showed concern, and she was acting all high and mighty?
Out of nowhere, a surge of irritation rose within Balthazar. He pulled out and coldly said:
“Clean up and go.”
Selena’s legs were still weak as she slowly went to the bathroom to tidy herself up. After gathering her things, she left the office.
But instead of going home, she told the driver to take her to the Kola entertainment company. When Kevin heard that his cash cow had arrived, he rushed to greet her. Seeing her fully masked with sunglasses, he didn’t even have time to ask questions before she spoke:
“I want to invest in your company.”
Kevin stared in astonishment at the girl in front of him. Her figure was stunning, just as he had imagined, especially those endlessly long legs that could easily lead anyone into a trance. But it seemed like her mind wasn’t quite right.
Kevin thought about the opportunity before him, adjusted his stance, cleared his throat, and said:
“Ama, we sincerely invite you to collaborate with us. The benefits won’t disappoint you. Here’s a prepared contract. You might want to… um… take off your mask and glasses to read it thoroughly."
He pushed the exclusive contract toward her as he spoke.
Selena knew that Kevin didn’t believe she was there to discuss investment, so she got straight to the point:
“I know your company was recently entangled in a scandal involving a streamer undressing live on air. Although it’s been dealt with, your revenue has plummeted. That’s why I became a streamer for the Kola platform. Before I invest in anything, I like to experience it firsthand. And I believe Kola is a place worth investing in."
