Chapter 51 Flirting
"Hello beautiful," He coos to my little sister, stepping right up into her space. Not that she backed down. She swishes her hair over her shoulders and shimmies closer to him.
The whole thing is making me sick. Why is he doing this to me? What the hell does he think it will change? Other than the fact the man who just kissed me senseless makes me want to smack him upside the head for being an idiot again.
Of course she giggles at the attention and bats her eyes at him. Her face is flushed with a pretty pink and her smile could fool anyone that wasn't me into believing she was pure and innocent. She's not. She's a little brat with an eye for anything that shimmers.
"I missed you Ricky," she blushes, placing her delicate hand on his strong chest. He looks huge compared to her. And she's taller than I am. I wonder what I look like up next to him like that...
"You are all grown up, aren't you," he says playing with one of her dark curls. "Last time I saw you, you were just a little thing, playing around your mom's skirts."
"I am! I'm all grown up!" she boasts, shoving her chest at him in an amateur attempt and showing off her 'grown up' body. "Just looking for a guy good enough to notice."
"Yeah, but she's also get a boyfriend!" An annoyed Ava announces, making her presence clear. "I'm free though," she smirks up to him.
When the hell did Ava get here? And does Beth know she's flirting with a billionaire who is almost an entire decade older than her? I know Beth would be all over Rick. I'm surprised she let him see me.
I can see a twitch in his jaw as he looks down at Ava. "Ava, I've heard so much about you," he smirks, lifting a hand and smoothing back a soft curl before pushing it behind her ear. "You're Beth's daughter, aren't you? Your birthday is coming up soon I hear..."
I bet he has every damn fact about this whole household memorized. He practically knows every damn thing about me. Why wouldn't he know my evil little cousin. The only thing that is stopping me from intervening is the fact that he looks like he'd rather be anywhere but here touching the bitch. I know he is only doing this for show... But they don't know that. They are eating up the attention like lonely little kittens.
"Yeah! I'll be sixteen. You should come to my party! You could be my first kiss! And then you can show me some... other things," she winks at him, like she expects him to believe that load of shit she just spewed.
Ava giggles, leaning into his touch, but I supposed Liv is getting jealous of the attention not on her (just the way it's been her whole entire life. She needs attention like she needs air to breathe) and she shoves Ava out of the way. "Braxton and I aren't that serious yet. I would much rather have Ricky," Liv pouts, like the boy who has been a pain in my ass the last couple of weeks was nothing but a fleeting fancy. Good luck with that! "You know that! He's just... something to keep me busy until I find someone worthy of me!" She beams up at him.
There is a flash of recognition at the name, and another tick of his jaw. Does Rick have an issue with Braxton? (Well, at least I'm not the only one. Only, what does he have against the kid?) Does he even know who she's talking about? Why are there warning bells sounding deep in my brain?
"Tell me all about my competition, angel. Who gave you permission to grow up and find a boyfriend?" he teases. "I have to make sure the boy that has my tiny dancers interest is worthy you know," he winks at her, giving a grin that could melt a glacier.
Liv blushes. "Oh, he's just a boy from school. He's Charlie's age," she giggles. "His dad works for a big security company or something like that. I don't really remember... It's not that important, after all."
"I see. Well, he's no match for Richard Kingston, CEO of Kingston Muse and son of rock legend Dean Kingston," he chuckles, pulling her closer to him.
