Chapter 320 Wrong Side of Justice
Chapter 320 Wrong Side of Justice
"We're in!" Levi announces, just as I see the bastard sauntering in the front door of the school. I want nothing more than to punch that smug look off his face. He doesn't deserve to walk around free while he's keeping Liv locked up somewhere like a damn pet.
He stands in the middle of the hallway and scans, before his eyes land on me. There is something in his eye, almost smug, but it's more than that. More than arrogance. It's the complete knowledge that he's getting away with this, and he plans never to have to pay for his actions. I don't like that look at all!
"Oh, look who's here," Braxton shouts loud enough for everyone to pay attention. He gets exactly what he wants. An audience. "The loser who couldn't even keep his girlfriend for a whole fucking day. She ran away from him!" he laughs loudly, like he thinks it's funny.
A few people chuckle nervously. I don't know if they believe what Braxton is spewing, or they are just scared not to agree with him. No one wants Braxton Davis bullying them.
I snort. "Look who it is. The man who literally has to kidnap girls to keep them," I respond. "Wow! Look how big and brave you are, picking on a defenseless little girl! Bet that makes you feel like a man, doesn't it, Brax?" I ask scarastically.
More nervous laughter, even though what I said wasn't funny in the least. It was the God's honest truth.
He glares at me and snarls. "You've got no proof," he says lowly. "If you did, you'd have her back by now... But I didn't do a damn thing!" he gloats.
"Don't worry. When I get the proof I need, we are putting you away for conspiracy, rape and sex trafficking," I announced to the whole school, even though I'm pretty sure I'm bluffing. "You will be treated like an adult and held accountable for every fucking thing you did. Daddy won't be able to save you. And trust me when I say there are bigger bullies than you behind bars who will love playing with fresh meat."
Braxton turns pale. I've never seen him looking so scared so fast. He swallows hard. "I'm not... that shit isn't... You can't! I'm fucking 18!" he rambles, like that is going to save him somehow. It won't.
I shrug my shoulders. "Yeah. You are. And look at all the fun you get by following your daddy's example. You'll be put away for years, wasting away because you were a bastard," I state.
I can see a lot of nervous glances going on between me and him. Good. Let them look at him. I know everyone in this hallway is waiting for the other shoe to drop. The violence is crackling in the air.
And out come the phones, recording this for posterity. Or social media. Either way...
I see a sheen of sweat on his forehead. There is a muscle spasm in his jaw I've never seen before. Interesting.
"I never... You have no fucking proof I did anything!" he screams.
"The moment Rick and Trent find Liv, you and your crooked father are going to be put away for life. I almost feel sorry for you. Put in jail before you could actually enjoy life," I snort. "I highly doubt they will even let you graduate. You are just going to be the loser stuck in jail until he's 50. Then you will be on a sex offender list for the rest of your life..."
"Yeah, I guess he is gonna know what it's like to live on the other side," Levi taunts. "Everyone already knows he's dirty as shit. But until now, he hasn't had anything this bad to take him down before."
"He's gonna get healthy meals, three times a day in the form of mush," Brad teases. "I hope you have a strong stomach. I heard they get rat droppings in them sometimes!"
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" Braxton snarls before charging at all three of us.
Not sure that was the best move, but something is telling me he's nervous, and when he gets nervous, he makes stupid mistakes. I hope that will come in handy, then I can find my girlfriend faster.
We land in a tangle of limbs, which probably isn't fair to have three against one, but I don't give a shit. Our movements are fast and relentless. I pour out all my anger into the body of the boy who took her away from me.
When I finally hear a crack in his jaw, pull back, and so do Levi and Brad.
"You'll never find her," he growls, spitting out blood, and a tooth.
"You're wrong. And I can't wait to see what you think the other side of justice looks like," I smirk, pulling away from him just as the administrators someone had the thought to call makes their way down the hall.
