Lena POV 

Athena closed her eyes, trying to concentrate as I moved from that direction.

Then my eyes spot someone jumping over the hedge. It was a distance away and I began to race, very fast to meet up with the killer.

In a haste, I reached for the hedge too, jumped over and charged myself to a face.

Then next thing, I found myself in the woods. Turns out this penthouse was in the woods.

He was very fast, dodging trees while I slammed on them unknowingly yet didn't stop.

I was almost losing him, I didn't want to and so to confirm, I took the bow and arrow, readied and shot.

"Get me closer Athena!" I yelled hurrying up and she'd channeled all her strength and agility on me, forcing me to become a speed of light in the chaotic chase.

I was close, really close.

Next attempt to shot, I heard a grunt and a loud thud.

I clenched my free fist, moving closer to see my victim on the floor but then...he was gone!

I lost him.

A loud growl escaped my lips as I'd kick the wet grass.

"Athena, why did you call him mate? You only call Adam..."

"It's him...I feel it"

"What?" I muttered trying not to play confused.

"I don't know...but I smelt him" she whispered. I was still at the same spot, trying to sniff around we'd get a trace of his blood.

Yes I did. I traced it down to a cliff, looking at the dark vision before me.

"Did he die from the fall?" I asked Athena as she was troubled due to the blood she scents.

"No, it's growing stronger" she confessed pushing me forward.

"That's not him and we had better return to see that victimized girl"

"No!!" Athena roared and like a force, she'd cause me to fall down the cliff not minding if I'd get injured in the process.

My body definitely had a bruise from the hard rock it did slammed itself again until I rolled and hooked my body on a rock.

"Athena, how can you be so heartless?" I complained weak and barely able to rise up from the massive fall.

"You'd heal" the heartless Athena said yanking me off to follow the blood scent.

Unfortunately, despite our trail, we couldn't find him.

She made me got injured but then, it was for a good course to find him.

"Let's head over to suite" I suggested, really wanting to confirm our assumptions.

I was already very scared as she had pulled me along to this her mystery.

"Yes"

In a swift, we'd left for his suite. Oddly enough, he wasn't there.

Which definitely means a fruitless chase.

Could he be at the palace?

Well, he wouldn't be because he was bleeding and can't heal.

"Where do we find him? Can we trace his scent?" I asked nervous as we were just at this place like wanderers.

"No! No! I can't scent him again...did he hide it?" She asked me like I'd know the answers.

"I don't know either... could he be at Mom's place?"

"Let's try there" I said in a haste.not wondering why and what he'd be doing there.

It was a 30 minutes journey using a cab. I'd rang the doorbell several times but there was no response.

I touched my body, to search for my phone only to realize it was gone.

Where did I lose my phone?

I heard chuckles from behind me, familiar and Athena picked the scent again.

I turned sharply to look and found mom and Adam.

He was holding a package bag. I smelt vegetable and they were gisting, something funny that caused them both to chuckle.

"Lena?" Mom called surprised to see me but I'd ignored her, pacing closer to Adam.

He was surprised too, his smile half as he swallowed.

"Hey...is something wrong..."

I placed my hand on his shoulder, the exact place I felt my arrow had struck, to find a hint.

"Do you smell blood on his?" I asked silently to Athena who couldn't confirm yet.

"Hey child what's wrong?" Mom asked puzzled too as I made Adam turn around.

There was nothing on him. Did we guess wrongly? I used my palm to rub his chest, sniffed him down to his cock like I'd want to give him a head in the presence of mom.

Adam was just still, like he knew I wouldn't talk even though he asked me until I was done.

"Can you stop embrassing him?" She snapped.

Was there someone else who makes Athena go biserk?

"Can you explain?"

I stood upright to look at her, anger filled my eyes. Maybe because I wrongly blamed him because of Athena.

"Why? Can't I come here anytime I want? And why is Adam always with you? Since when have you become close?" I fired at her, darting my gaze on her.

Her eyes sink like she was heartbroken by my words.

"What do you mean Lena? I...I am just startled with the way you appeared like you wanted to declare war"

I ran my fingers through my hair as tears had clouded her eyes while Athena was staring at Adam, confused.

"Have your doubt been cleared?" Adam suddenly asked as he pushed my hand off his shirt.

I didn't know I was still holding on to him until he did that.

"And for your information, she's a friend, the only one who comforted me during my depressed days and I really like her cupcake, do you have a problem with that?"

Mom was already crying, wiping her tears, why does she always have to cry?

"I don't mean to hurt any of you feelings or accuse you. I was chasing someone who had your scent"

"Really? Because if feels like you came over to start a war"
