Chapter 25 Ancestral Blessings
Vivian was stunned by the slap.
Her face stung.
But what was even more heart-wrenching was Florence's verbal abuse.
Florence’s words were so unbearable to hear, how could she, a doctor, innocent and pure, be subjected to such injustice?
Unfortunately, Florence's loud shouts attracted many nurses and other patients' family members to gather around.
Vivian angrily said, "Madam, please mind your words and actions, don't randomly accuse others."
Immediately, another slap was thrown, Vivian couldn't dodge in time and was hit.
She continued to shout, "Keep spewing nonsense! What's wrong with my words and actions? You should ask others who truly have an issue with their words and actions. You, a despicable person, dare to seduce someone else's husband here. Hugging and cuddling in public, and yet you still have the audacity to speak? You have the audacity to act promiscuous but lack the courage to admit it? I saw it all, what is this, your clothes are covered in saliva. You were just a step away from stripping naked..."
In an instant, everyone pointed and whispered.
Vivian's face turned pale, and she was filled with rage.George was initially taken aback by the first slap, but he managed to recover and quickly reacted and rushed to pull Florence away.
"Mom, please don't falsely accuse Dr. Tudson. There’s nothing going on between us, it's me... It's me being too heartbroken that I hugged her."
"You hug her because you're heartbroken? If that's the case, will you sleep with her if you're even sadder?" Florence dismissed George’s explanation.
Suddenly, Florence noticed the Heart of Ocean necklace around Vivian's neck.
Immediately, her expression changed again, "You said that you were not having any affair, then what's that necklace she's wearing on her neck? Yesterday, you lied to me saying the Heart of Ocean was lost after giving it to a five-year-old girl, then what is this? Is she a five-year-old girl? You scumbag, you eat at my house, live in my house, take things from my house, and still cheat on me outside, are you even a man?"
George had no mood to argue with her now, with red eyes, he shouted, "Stop making a scene, can't you? My mom is dying, she's about to die, do you even know?"
As he spoke, he wiped his tears in sadness.
Florence glanced at Mia, but there was not a shred of sympathy in her, she coldly snorted, "Death would be good, given the fact that she had been in a comatose state all these tume, she’s no different from being dead."
"What did you say? Say it again?"
"What if I say it again? I said your mother's death would be good, so that she won't burden our family anymore."
"Smack!"
George angrily slapped Florence's face.
This time, Florence was stunned.
She exploded in an instant, jumping up and fighting with George, "You bastard, you animal, how dare you hit your mother-in-law? You're asking for divine punishment, go and die! When my daughter comes back, you better divorce her immediately. My family can't tolerate a white-eyed wolf like you. Get out of my house!"
She left numerous bloody scratches on George's body.
George was so enraged by her words that he forcefully pinned her against the wall and threw a vicious punch.
"Thud!"
Florence screamed in terror.
Only then did George realize that Florence had managed to dodge his punch and his punch landed on the wall instead.
She forcefully pushed George away and fled.
George's fist was a bloody mess, with fresh blood seeping out rapidly.
But he didn't feel a thing.
He sat down on the ground, his face full of pain.
No one noticed that the fresh blood was slowly infiltrating the black ring on George's finger.
A faint light shone on the ring.
With a swift motion, it penetrated George's body.
"Ah—"
George felt an intense headache.
He screamed out and, in the next second, fell unconscious.
"What's wrong with him?"
"Did he faint from excessive sadness?"
"Ah, poor George, he is such a filial child!"
The onlookers began to talk, pity evident on their faces. They all knew George and understood what kind of person he was.
As for Florence's accusations and crazy claims, no one believed them.
"George, George?"
Vivian quickly crouched down to check on George's condition. She found that he wasn't moving and immediately asked everyone to step back, creating space. Then, with the help of a few nurses, they moved him onto a bed.
One of the nurses asked, "Dr. Tudson, what on earth happened to him?"
Vivian replied, "He may not be able to accept the truth. Let him rest for a while!"
...
Meanwhile, as George was in a daze, his consciousness seemed to enter a peculiar space, where he saw a blurry figure. The person spoke to him in his ear—
"I, Lin Tian, the Heavenly Physician, am your ancestor!"
"What? Heavenly Physician? Hey, hey, what exactly is this? What ancestor?" George exclaimed in astonishment.
"You hold the Black Dragon Ring, and your bloodline flows with my essence. If not I am not your ancestors, then what am I?" the voice continued, "The Black Dragon Ring is the heritage I left for future generations. Today, after receiving your blood, I grant you the divine path of the Heavenly Physician, a supreme aura. As the recipient of my legacy, you shall save all beings..."
"What? What divine path?" George was utterly confused. Just then, a massive amount of information flooded his mind, accompanied by a tremendous force that shook his entire body. George felt as if he were floating in the vast ocean.
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his head.
He screamed out, abruptly waking up.
Rubbing his head, he felt like he had just had a strange dream.
But suddenly, he realized that he truly had the teachings of "Heavenly Physician's Way" in his mind.
"Oh my god, could it be real?"
George stared in disbelief.
"Right, what did that person say about the Black Dragon Ring?"
"Could it be referring to the ring that my father gave me?"
He hurriedly checked the ring, only to find that it had been crushed into powder.
Damn it!
His thoughts shifted, and the teachings of "Heavenly Physician's Way" automatically ingrained into his mind, quickly becoming a part of his memory... The information it contained was extensive, encompassing all sort of medical knowledge which included Wanxiang, Traditional Chinese Medicine, witch doctor. Ghost doctor, Zhu You, and even martial arts doctors. It was practices of various dazzling medical techniques.
The crucial moment had come. George could feel a warm current circulating in his body, making him extremely comfortable.
"George, George?!" Vivian's voice startled George out of his daze.
He blinked his eyes. "Huh? Dr. Tudson, where am I? Where's my mom?"
Vivian said, "George, you passed out just now..."
At that moment, a nurse rushed over to her. "Dr. Tudson, Mia's condition is critical, her breathing has stopped..."
Several people quickly ran towards the ward.
Soon, George saw his mother lying quietly on the bed, her face was as pale as a sheet of blank paper, and the monitoring equipment displayed her heart beats as a straight line.
A doctor shook his head gently when they rushed in.
"Mom, Mom—" George shouted and lunged forward.
Just then, a piece of information suddenly flashed through his mind—blockage of cerebral meridians, deficiency and coldness in the spleen and stomach, temporary cessation of heart and lung function, and poor blood circulation in the limbs. Her current condition can be described as being conscious but in a deep sleep, appearing dead.
Use the Thirteen Ghostly Needles of the Underworld, there's still hope!
George didn't know why this idea suddenly came to him. It was as if he had suddenly become proficient in medical skills and could easily identify the problem with just a glance.
"Right, it's the Heavenly Medical Dao!"
"The Heavenly Medical Dao I just inherited is meant to cure and save lives!"
"I wonder if it will really work?”
But no matter what, he had to give it a try.
"Get out, all of you get out!"
"My mother can still be saved. I will save her, now get out!"
Everyone looked at each other in astonishment.
"Ah!"
"Let him be alone for a while. Let him stay with his mother for a bit longer!"
Vivian spoke up, her expression filled with sorrow.
She remembered her own mother who had left her early when she was still young. She would never forget the grief of witnessing her mother's passing.
With Vivian's intervention, the people in the ward left one after another.
Fortunately, it was a single room.
George stood in front of the bed, closing his eyes.
In his mind was the immensely complex "Heavenly Medical Dao," the Thirteen Ghostly Needles of the Underworld, one of the magical acupuncture techniques within the Heavenly Medical Dao.
"My mother can be saved!"
"And she can be awakened directly!"
George came to a definite conclusion.
It was incredibly miraculous.
He felt it was unbelievable.
But still, he was extremely certain.
However, an obstacle lies before him. How could he perform acupuncture without silver needles?
Simple!
The acupuncture technique of the Heavenly Medical Dao didn't require silver needles at all. On the contrary, silver needles were the most commonly used item; what he actually needed were gas needles, thunder needles, and utilized true energy to transform the energy waves into lightning pulses.
With the divine energy given by the ancestors, he could achieve that.
"Snap!"
George poked Mia's temple with a finger.
He could feel the divine energy wandering through his fingers, transforming into threads of electricity.
It’s true, everything he learnt in the dream is real.
Perhaps Mother can really be saved.
George was extremely excited, carefully preparing the next needle.
Baihui acupoint.
Next, Qi Hai acupoint.
Vivian stood at the door of the ward, a bit worried about George. Unintentionally, she glanced inside through the glass window.
Instantly, she was shocked.
She hurriedly pushed open the door and said, "George, what are you doing? Stop!"
George shouted, "Don't come over, don't interfere with me saving my mom!"
His speed increased continuously as he poked the thundering needle on several acupoints of Mia.
Vivian was speechless.
If this can revive her, you will be a god.
She sighed.
Forget it, let him fuss!
She quietly watched from the side.
At this moment, George forcefully poked the last needle into Mia's Shen Zhu acupoint.
With this, the Thirteen Ghostly Needles were complete.
Now it's up to her own will whether she can wake up or not.
"Mom, please wake up, you must!"
George closed his eyes and whispered a prayer.
Almost as soon as the words fell silent, a faint "drip" sound came from the ward.
Vivian was startled and looked at a monitoring device. It was the one monitoring Mia's heart rate, which had previously been a flatline, but now, unbelievably, her heartbeat had recovered.
"How...how is this possible?"
