Chapter 18: Finally

Zora's POV (Before Zora met Kenzi)

I stood there at the abandoned road waiting for the last light to be turned off before I start dancing. I told Julia to go home without me.

I started dancing after the building went dark. The road was hardly used by people or even teachers in the school.

I danced on the abandoned road freely and sang along to what came to mind that moment. Then he appeared from nowhere and looking so feral and wild that I almost took to my heels.

But his expression seems to softly when he got closer to me.

"Mr Kay?” I had said stopping midway in my dance.

"Where did you learn that from?” He said softly. He never spoke this soft to me before. Why was he acting this way. It was strange.

"I didn't learn from anyone." I told him. "Why did you ask and I thought everyone left.

He thought about it for a while. "The only person who could do this was my friend's daughter, when we were still together." He said with a faraway look on his face.

"But I'm not her and …" He didn't allow me to finish and cut me off in his usual harsh tone.

"Go home now." He yelled in the quiet evening. Finally he is back.

I ran off without looking back at him. Gosh I hate him so much.

Two days later he came to my house unceremoniously. Thank God my mum wasn't at home. He must have gotten my address from Julia.

"I finally figured it out , you are a werewolf right…? What.

"I'm not" I denied. What was he on about.

"You will find out soon enough." His last word to me before he left.

And when I did, I looked for him, but I was told he was on leave. Not until now.

Present day

He stood tall in his off white shirt and demin jean. His dark hair was jelled back and the ever present smirk was on his face.

"What is our dance teacher doing here?" Julia asked in disbelief.

Something isn't right. In time when I needed assurance, the voice in my head seemed to be on a leave.

"Mr Kay, Irene?" There was a hint of fear combined with shock in my voice.

"Zoe." His girlfriend, Irene said and smiled." How ?…" I asked not sure of what exactly to ask. He smiled and pocketed his hands. Doesn't he ever get tired of smiling.

Their presence alone was getting me worked up. Just as I was about to confront him for stalking me, the barbie walked in and hugged Irene.

"It's been so long Irene, you should have visited with Kay the last time." She smiled at her then greeted Kay.

"How was the journey?" She asked with her fake smile.

"Good and this makes it great." Kay said looking at me. God, This isn't a good sign.

I took Julia's hand and decided to leave but his next word stopped me.

"Does she know?" He abruptly said.

Shit shit shit, he is about to let it off.

"what is he talking about Zoe, is there something you are hidingnfrom me?" She turned towards me and said with slight disappointment.

"That's not it." I tried to convince her but my shaky voice didn't allow me

Julia doesn't know about my identity yet and hearing it from a stranger doesn't seem like a good idea.

I didn't allow him to intimidate me.

"Are you stalking me?" The question left my mouth before I could stop it.

"Nah, I just need one thing." He said coming closer to my side.

Taking a step back would be a sign of weakness.

He stopped 4 to 5 steps away from me..

"I will give you everything you want, just come with me." He said in a serious light tone and the smile was no longer there. Was this a joke. Someone who have always been harsh to me is offering me this. But why.

"Then you have to go through me." Ken said looking hot as usual.

I froze. Did he hear our conversation? Oh my God.

'Calm down he is our mate and will always be' the voice in my head sounded like it just woke from a sleep. 'Where have you been' I almost yelled out but I was relieved. The voice gave me strenght in so many ways.

'Observing' I felt it smirked.

I inwardly roll my eyes.

"Going against you isn't exactly the best option." He said with the smirk back on his face and raised his hands up in surrender.

Ken smirked and they both shook hands. I was relieved? Maybe but there was a little fear left.

I didn't expect that at all. My dance teacher and Kenzi. Really.

"What's going on here?" There must be a reason.

"The day you arrived here, you were acting all strange and weird but he helped you." Mira spat. I guess she was getting bored with the drama.

"Mira" Kenzi lowly warned. She huffed but kept quiet.

"What am I missing?" I looked at him with pleading eyes. He sighed and took my hands.

"I told you I will explain everything when you are fine." He tried to guide me to the direction of his study. No way, today or never. I stood still.

"Now or Never Ken." I like this name more. His expression showed that he didn't like the commanding voice but he had no choice.

"We have been friends for so long." Ken started looking at me.

"He is partly witch who helped you the day we arrived here. You lost conciousness and your fever wouldn't go down. The Alpha even went as far as reaching out to him." 'The Alpha isn't that bad'. I thought.

"He came and surprisingly helped you, then he told me few things about you and I have been investigating ever since." He explained.

"What was the outcome Ken?" I felt drained.

"We found your pack." He said, I was relieved but it didn't last because the next voice that spoke broke my heart.

"Pack" Julia asked in disbelieve.
