Chapter 68 - Gladys P.
Susan's POV.
We were beyond surprised, we sat in silence for almost 10 minutes thinking like someone had died and we mourned their absence, but the reverse was the case. We were actually sad that the person whom we thought was dead now lived and even attended a meeting yesterday with the Alpha.
“...Callister, are you seriously kidding me?”
I asked like someone who just ran mad. Something in me told me Isabel knew we were behind it.
“What do you mean? How can you just sit here and all of a sudden turn to me and ask such a question?” She said keeping her phone back on the table.
Jason on the other hand lay on the long couch in the living room looking so confused.
“Calli, I gave you a simple instruction, don't go for the kill till I was there.”
“Oh come on Susan, spare me that, you and I know that inwardly you were overwhelmed when you saw her corpse on the phone, you just fail to admit it and put the blame on me because she's now alive, please and please, don't do that with me, because I am as confused as you are right now.”
“Confused? No, you're not, you're just trying to see how you could get yourself off the blame, it was all my plan and you had one job, just one, you had to wait for my signal.”
“How come we aren't even putting Jason in all these?”
Jason still lay silent without saying a word instead he looked at the chandelier hanging up.
“Jason? Why aren't you saying anything?”
I asked, turning to him as he had his legs crossed still looking less concerned, it seemed he was thinking so much about the whole thing or probably had some crazy sex thought in his head as usual.
“Susan let him be, and yes it's true I gave the order and Jason did just that, you don't have to blame him for his actions at all, it isn't his fault entirely.”
“Why are you defending him? He isn't even acting like there's something on the ground huh?”
“Susan you should learn to accept the mistakes made and try to move on, you aren't the only one in this, we all are, can't you see that?”
From the look of things Calli seemed to be looking for a way out but I was busy trying to have the blame fixed. The whole thing kept appearing like a dream to me because I actually saw the corpse on the ground lifeless on the video call I made with her, but the truth remains, she's back and probably knows about us and the plan we had to eliminate her, what got me confused the more was how she appeared unhurt like someone who never even attended a birthday party. I couldn't let this whole thing slide.
“Callister it's your fault, you were the one who was to await my signal before letting Jason put the knife right through her chest, and the most annoying part is you guys act like you have no idea of the implications ahead if anything leads to us being her kidnappers.”
“Susan, why are you just trying to blame me alone? You've forgotten we all have several things to deal with as regards her case. We have the Fiona saga untouched and also the Mysterious phone number she saved as P.sydalg, why don't we try to see how we can look into these things and see if we could get a lead on her since it's now looking even more supernatural than we thought?”
“Calli, you don't get it, as we speak her…”
I didn't complete my sentence before Jason, who had been thinking sprang up like wildfire all of a sudden.
“...Guys!”
We both turned to him even in the middle of our argument.
“I think I have it! That's it!”
I was so confused and actually thought he had gone mad because he was making no sense at first.
“What do you mean you have it?”
I asked.
“Guys, this is it, you know according to history, Fiona was once the Luna of the Alpha Asher Damien and we almost had a lead on her but she's late. Susan, you said you heard Isabel call out the name, Fiona?”
“Yes, I did.”
“Good, my first theory now is, what if she communicated to the dead or perhaps had some sort of connection with her?”
“That's ridiculous Jason, if she wanted to talk to the dead it wouldn't be on the phone call, I mean, Calli think about that, yes it's possible she may have some connections with the dead as we've seen but don't get technology involved in this.”
I lashed at him.
“Hmm, I know sorcery when I see one Susan, don’t get me wrong, over there in Hilton I had a couple of friends who were witches and wizards. My second Theory is this, that name P.Sydalg, I've looked it up on Google, and trust me, not one data on it, it was almost like no one on the entire planet bore that name, and the AI tool I used on my Mac book suggested I…”
He brought out his laptop from his bag and logged in to see where he had stopped on the research he made on the name.
We both drew closer to him this time and looked right into his computer.
“...yeah, there it is, it says;”
NAMES LIKE P.SYDALG COULD BE AN ABBREVIATION OR IN CODED FORM, YOU COULD TRY TO REARRANGE IT OR POSSIBLY TRY SPELLING FROM BEHIND.
Now that was the part that made so much sense to me. And yes, it was now beginning to make more sense to me than ever before.
“Let's rearrange the letters In the name,” Calli suggested but I was very sharp on it. I got my answers already.
“There'll be no need for that.” I voiced out.
“What do you mean by that?” She asked
“The name, P.Sydalg, try spelling it from behind.”
They both looked carefully at the name and it became clear.
Calli said slowly in amazement.
P. SYDALG, GLADYS. P.
“What, the fuck.”
