Final ritual
Final ritual
"What really happened between you and Sandra?" Alpha Xander demanded, looking into some files.
"I only ask a few questions, and she flares up. I was actually asking her about Octovia; at least we should know what happened between her and the royals so that we can know how to convince her. But she just gets angry like that" he said, his voice tired.
"You shouldn't have; I thought you went to meet her because you care. But instead, you ruin things for yourself. You should have just asked her what was wrong with her, and try not to bring my case out in your relationship" Alpha Xander said with a smirk.
"What relationship? I already told you I was getting closer because of you. Moreover, I ask her what the problem is, even though I know she's fasting for Octovia by just looking at her." He took a deep breath before reclining on the sofa.
. "Fasting for Octovia, wow! I never thought about that" Alpha Xander scratched the back of his head.
"She's so blessed to have someone like her as a friend. But at the same time, we also need to find out why Octovia hates the royals so much. I want you to get married to Octovia before Benita comes up with any news. Right now, she must be planning on how to get back at us "Beta Khan said.
"I know, but at the same time, I would advise that if you take things slow so you won't end up hurting her, we should not be playing with her emotions; that will look selfish. If you don't want her, then leave her out of this" Alpha Xander advised.
"She's the key to Octovia; don't worry about her. I will make sure she doesn't get hurt. I wouldn't joke with her feeling; I will just play a cool friend" he said, and Alpha Xander scoffed.
"Why do I have the feeling that you are already falling for Sandra?" Alpha Xander chuckled dryly, and Beta Khan coughed pretentiously.
"Are you kidding? You must be blind. I don't have any feelings for her. Moreover, she's not my mate. I just want to get you out of this situation before thinking of finding my mate. Falling in love is not my thing again; I don't want to make the mistake of falling for someone's mate again. So I am sticking to myself now" he explained, and he nodded approvingly.
"Since that's what you want, I support this and respect your wish. But at the same time, respect her feelings." He scoffed, and he sniffed.
"I heard you, sir. Can you spare me and let's talk about how to deal with Benita and Roger, your uncle?" There was a long silence in the room, and Alpha Xander thought for a while.
"What do you think I should do about him? He's trying to manipulate the elders to his side, and I won't allow that to happen. But I don't know what I should do with"
"Maybe we should meet him personally; we need to let him understand why he should support us and not stand against us. Moreover, you are his brother's son. He was supposed to be protecting you," Beta Khan suggested, and Alpha Xander nodded negatively, declining his opinion.
"That's the last thing I will do. He can never help. All he cares about is himself. I can't stop myself from meeting him. Rather, I will forcefully make them follow my orders. No one can dethrone me because it is my right as the heir. If they try me, I will show them what I got. They get me angry, and that's how I ended up with Benita. I won't tolerate anyone's nuisance. They can't even wait for my mother. How curious could they be?" He flared up, and Beta Khan was surprised.
"You should calm down. I understand what you are trying to say. If we pretend to need his help, he will think we have already lost hope and will use that as a means to restrategize, but shouting and thinking you can use force on the elders is not possible. They would be denied your loyalty, and that will give your uncle a good point to prove and might convince them to work against you," Beta Khan tried to explain.
"We need to calm down, you know. We really have to." He further says that he finds his proposal to be nice.
"Maybe I am using him to convince the elders to give me more time. That's quite nice" He finally bought into the advice.
"You see, your beta is smart. I deserve an award" He gave himself a self-appraisal.
"You are the dumbest beta I have even seen. Well, plan how we are going to meet, and make sure to rectify things between you and your girlfriend" he said teasily.
. "So you are taunting me despite my intelligence. Well! It's a bad thing to have a pompous and grumpy friend like you" He hissed and gave an eyeroll.
"Go, Octovia, take the book, and then you both should escape back to the exit." The white snake said, it wasn't so easy for them to escape the previous troubles, but they escaped with the help of the snake, and right here they are right in front of the book. She asked Octovia to go and get it. She nodded and walked towards the book. Then golden snakes started coming out from nowhere, rushing towards them. She was so scared and wanted to turn into her wolf form.
"No, Octovia; if you do that, you will lose your power as a healer. So just stay strong and let them climb your body; you are going to be okay." She shouted, and Octovia nodded negatively.
"I can't trust these snakes; they look angry' she shouted in fear.
"You have to face this; it's the final rituals" she said, and Alpha mother nodded negatively in disapproval.
"One person needs to do this. It's either you or her," she said with a tone of finality.
