I won't betray her for anyone

I won't betray her for anyone
"Why are you laughing like a madman? she demanded, overwhelmed with shame at being embarrassed in her own house.

"That got you, girl. I don't know why you are so daft; even I know your rejected mate is getting married in a few days. The shock on your face means a lot. Do you think that nigga won't choose another mate and stick to a witch like you, who only useless herself around that innocent Alpha?" He gesticulated, throwing his hand in the air. Benita groaned angrily, and her claw came out.

"Try rubbish; hmm, you will regret ever choosing me as your stepbrother after your mom killed mine. I am not weak, you know; I will pierce you into pieces and send your remains to your parents for their so-called trip. Just try me" he said, anger laced in his tone. Benita was so angry and ran into her room.

He hissed and gave a mocking wink.

Cassandra and Agatha were together in her room.

"Cassie, why are you caging yourself in here? You know you aren't supposed to be moody. It might affect your mental health. I understand everything you are going through right now. But the truth is that you need to be over it all. You really have to be strong, so when your mom comes back, she won't start treating you. "Agatha tried to persuade her.

"I tried being myself, but I couldn't. I am angry and don't even know who to get angry at. She came to my mom's rescue without thinking twice, but I can't seem to give up on Khalid and leave them alone. You don't know how much I love him. I am worried that many things are going on in my head. I just want my mom to be okay first, then I can know what's next. Maybe fight for what I want or just give in" she said, her voice laced with worry.

"You should calm down; we can figure something out. We are going to be over this," she said, and she nodded positively.

"Agatha, can you please leave me alone for a while? I need to get my brain working." She excused herself, making her way toward the exit.

"Just calm down; everything is going to be alright", she said, closing the door behind her.

She walked through the hallway and saw Sandra and Beta Khan, and she wondered what was going on. She quickly hid to eavesdrop.

"Why are you hiding your pain? I saw you trying to hide your pain earlier. What happened to you?" he demanded his voice laced with concern, and Sandra just smiled.

"I am fine; you know, I ate a lot, and I was just having a running stomach. But it's under control. I am fine. I guessed I eat a lot." She lied, and Beta Khan was unperturbed by her lies. By just looking at her, you will know that's a fat lie.

"Are you fasting? You are fasting for something. Are you fasting for Octovia?" He asked, and she was surprised at how he knew that. She quickly covered his mouth with his palm; their gazes met, and they stared at each other for some seconds before he scoffed, and Sandra quickly grabbed a hold of her emotions.

"Are you now stalking me? Well, the truth is that I can't watch myself losing someone like Octovia; I haven't felt that bound with anyone before. And to hear her talk about getting a cure that can help me become a wolf was really overwhelming. Even if I still remain an Omega, I can bear with that. But losing someone as good as her is the last thing I can bear. I choose to do the fast for three days and pray to the mother goddess to help them through all difficulties. It's my pleasure doing that," she explained. Sad tears were shredding down her cheek. She sneezes to hold back the tears. Beta Khan scratched the back of his neck.

"I must say I am thrilled by the authenticity of your friendship. I love to see people who aren't self-centered. Who doesn't stick to someone because of the benefits that come with it?" he said, and they both smiled.

Agatha was so angry where she was; it was as if they were referring to her. She wasn't self-centered; Cassandra was always the one using her; even whenever she tried to be real, she always threw it back at her face. She fumes and walks away angrily.

"Well, I learned that from Octovia. She's so smart at winning people's hearts." She smiled, and Beta Khan nodded with uncertainty about whether he should ask her this question.

"Do you want to say something? Common, speak up." She touched his shoulder, and he glanced at her, then at his shoulder. She quickly removed her hand.

"I am sorry, your highness. I don't mean to disrespect you like that" she said nervously.

"That's not a problem. But I don't know if I should ask this question or not." He scratched the back of his head.

"Common, what's that?" She demanded, and he chuckled, he took deep breath and stare at her for a while.

"Do you know why Octovia hated the royal so much? She was supposed to be our Luna; she has a good heart, but why did she always pick on him? Why did she choose Khalid over him?" His voice was laced with curiosity.

"Really, is this what you wanted to ask me?" she asked, her emotions swinging.

"Yes, that's all I wanted to ask. So simple, right?" He said, feigning a smile, and she clenched her fists together.

"So you only came closer just because you wanted to ask me this question. But you should know this isn't going to work. Even if I knew I wouldn't tell you, I respect her choice and will not betray her not for anyone. You've just proven to be that self-centered person. I don't know why rich people are like this, but you should know that I won't be a fan of your tricks just because I have feelings for you." She yearned at him, as her jaw dropped in disappointment, she glare at him and rushed out
