Chapter 32 infuriated them
Lucian’s P.O.V. (Continued)

“Oh, come on, bro! We have seen Amber fighting, and after fighting with David, I must say that those siblings have some great and dangerous skills. Our pack warriors need to learn those methods and skills, too.” I persuaded him while going back to the table.
My brother was ruthless, but I knew that he wouldn’t beat me when I was already injured.
My body was healed, but my wolf and I were nursing our wounded pride.
Of course, I was baffled and dumbstruck when David pinned me down for the first time.
He was a pure alpha blood, and I could feel that he belonged to an ancient bloodline.
Yet, that wasn’t about his blood or bloodline.
This was about his skills.
He took only five moves, and I was licking the ground.
“He is a guest, Lucian,” Lucifer replied coldly, still fuming.
“He is also a member, bro, and you said it yourself. Training is a must for every member.” I emphasized the last statement, looking at him with a righteous gaze.
“You are asking for another round of beating,” he threatened, and I shrank my shoulders, looking down at my plate.
Today was just a bad day.
Keith also whimpered, agreeing with me.
“Let’s go for a run tonight.” Keith requested in a low spirit.
“Okay.” I replied to him, trying to gulp down the food as I didn’t have any appetite left, but I needed to keep my strength intact if I was going for a run tonight.
I flinched harder when Lucifer stood up abruptly, and his chair staggered backward with a sharp screech.
“What did you do to infuriate him like this?” Ethan asked me through mind-link.
“What happened?” I asked him worriedly through mind-link, finishing my meal, too.
"He called me back to review some documents. You brothers are the death of me." Ethan grumbled, but I giggled in response.
I felt sorry for Ethan, but at least Lucifer spared me.
Lucifer stormed out of the dining room, leaving me alone.
I breathed out in relief and patted my chest, still looking at Lucifer’s back.
“He asked me to go inspect the patrol borders after that,” Ethan yelled at me after a few seconds, startling me in the process.
“Crap,” Keith whined.
Now, I had infuriated both the king and his beta.
What was wrong with my luck recently?
I slowly stood up and dragged my feet outside the dining room.
We lived in the palace, with beta, gamma, and delta families, but the king’s family had a separate dining room.
The king’s wing was on the far east side of the palace.
It looked isolated at first glance, but it was securely covered with all the families, and also a separate building for the warriors and regulars was to the other side of that wing, securing it from outside.
“Where are you going? Let’s go for a run.” Keith whined when I started ascending the stairs.
“I need to change clothes first,” I replied to him, annoyingly.
I was in a casual t-shirt and pyjamas.
I needed to change into my regular clothes.
“It’s not like you will stay in these clothes for a long time,” Keith grumbled, but I didn’t listen to him.
Call me a spoiled brat, but this is what I am.
I paid attention to my appearance.
In the most blunt and honest words, I am obsessed with my appearance.
Even if I needed to strip before shifting into my wolf form, I can’t go out without proper clothes.
Keith continued pacing restlessly, giving me a headache in the process.
“Stop now, Keith,” I yelled at him when the pain intensified.
I had been at the company for only a week.
And we had a good compound for a late-night run around our mansion there.
So, Keith can’t say that I didn’t let him out to have a run.
“Let me out.” He yelled frustratingly.
Today was definitely not my day.
I went straight to my closet and grabbed whichever pair came to hand.
“Come on! Why are you so slow tonight?” Keith yelled at me, and for a second, I thought of dumping the idea of going for a run, but I also had this strong urge to go and connect my heart to nature.
I didn’t tell anyone, but ever since I came back and met Amber and Daniel, I was restless.
I was distracted the whole time I fought with David.
And the reason was…..
Amber
The very same girl who had stirred something inside my heart the second my gaze fell on her during that attack.
She amazed me with her skills, not with her beauty.
Yes, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
And even with the hint of coldness in her voice, it sounded like a melodious song.
And it’s not only me, but Keith also felt attracted to her.
That’s why, when she continued cheering for her brother, I was jealous and distracted.
After changing clothes, I didn’t go out the main door.
Instead, I went to the balcony and jumped off.
Our bedrooms were on the third floor of the wing.
But I landed on the floor with ease.
This height was nothing to us.
With a satisfactory grin, I started running in a particular direction.
We had guards and warriors stationed everywhere. A few of them saw me running, but no one came forward to ask me or to stop me.
The coldness creeping in the night air was like coldness pressed against a fresh burn.
Keith and I howled aloud in ecstasy. I moved my face upwards to face the moon.
The thing that every werewolf loves the most is running freely under the moonlight, bonding our beasts with nature and the moon.
So many other howls with the same excitement followed mine.
I leaped high in the air when I reached the high boundary wall of the palace and landed perfectly on my feet on the other side.
A few howls of the guards echoed behind me.
They were worried and alert as I leaped over the walls.
I was annoyed, but I howled back to ensure them that it was me, not an intruder.
"What is it?" I asked Keith when I felt that he was still restless.
"I don't know. I can't tell what is happening to me. Ever since we came back, I've felt that something very important to me is right in my grasp, yet far away from me," he answered.
My muscles stiffened, but I didn't stop running.
Suddenly, he howled in excitement when a very familiar, sweet, and alluring scent hit our nostrils.
She was on the run, too.
I grimaced when another scent mixed with hers hit my nostrils next.
Keith also scowled in displeasure.
"Does he really need to stay hovering over her all the time?" Keith grumbled, but I changed my direction.
I was curious to see how fast she could run.
From Greg, I heard that she was faster than any other she-wolf in our pack, and it intrigued me.
My heart skipped a beat when I heard melodious laughter echoing through the forest from afar.
