Chapter 31 his interest

Chapter 31 his interest
Amber’s P.O.V. (Continued)

“Then why are you crying as if the whole world had turned against you?” David asked me annoyingly.
“I don’t know.” I pouted while looking at him with a puppy look.
He glared at me for a few seconds, then sighed in the end.
“Okay. You are just emotional, and this is normal,” he stated calmly, still wiping my face with his hands now.
I bobbed my head a few times in agreement.
I also didn’t understand why I reacted so badly.
Just because Prince Lucian scolded me for being childish, I cried.
How embarrassing?
“Let’s go to the mall. Let me buy you something to cheer you up.” He proposed with a coaxing smile.
My eyes immediately lit up, and I bobbed my head furiously while smiling widely.
He laughed while taking my hand and wrapping it around his elbow.
“But you need to apologize to Prince Lucian the first thing in the morning. He apologized to you in front of so many people.” David said to me in a serious tone as we walked out of the training ground parking lot.
“But he is the one who scolded me for no reason, bro,” I argued, and he tapped my forehead in annoyance.
“Ouch! Why did you hit me?” I yelled at him, but he just grunted, looking at me helplessly.
“I am not talking to you.” I grumbled, moving my head in the other direction.

Lucian’s P.O.V.

“What is it? Ever since you came back from the training ground, you have been sulking so darkly. Did something happen there?” Lucifer asked me calmly while cutting the steak on his plate.
I poked the fork harshly and looked at him with an aggrieved expression.
“David beat me badly,” I replied flatly.
He choked on the contents in his mouth, looking at me in disbelief.
I pouted while looking at him with an aggrieved look.
He took a big gulp of the wine, still glaring at me in disbelief.
“You… you mean to say that you lost a spar to David Holt?” he asked me, still trying to wrap his mind around this fact.
Of course, he was shocked.
I am a royal blood, and David is an alpha blood.
Yet, he pinned me down thrice, making me question years of my training.
His technique and agility amazed me.
No wonder Amber is a fierce warrior even without her wolf.
“And then, I made Amber cry,” I added it flatly.
“What did you say?” he roared aloud, shaking the whole dining room.
All the things on the dining table rattled, along with the ornaments and furniture around us.
His reaction startled me to the core.
His eyes were now blazing furiously, indicating that his wolf was about to surface.
I was completely taken off guard.
“Why are you reacting so badly, bro?” I asked him while raising my hands in surrender, my eyes widening in the process.
“You can’t accept your defeat. So, you vent your anger on that poor girl?” Lucifer roared again, his fist thrashing on the table in the process.
“It… it’s not like that, bro. Listen to me first.” I yelled in panic, standing up immediately when he felt as if he were going to march towards me.
My eyes widened in horror when his canines started extending, piercing his lips in the process.
“She…. She jumped on David, hugged him tightly, and I got jealous. That’s all.” I tried to explain myself hurriedly, taking steps backward in panic.
I knew that my brother had some interest in Amber but didn't expect him to lose control like this.
“She is his sister. What’s in there for you to get jealous?” he scolded in a roar.
I was now completely drenched in sweat.
Of course, I was scared of my brother.
So what if I am….
“Don’t say that again.” Keith, my wolf, scolded me when I was about to call myself the second-strongest warrior in our pack.
“I…. I know, brother, and I apologized to her immediately.” I replied hurriedly, ready to run away at any time.
“Beast is also infuriated. Since when have they become this protective towards a she-wolf?” Keith questioned, having his tail between his limbs in fear, just like me.
“Think about calming down, you mutt, not questioning their motive.” I scolded him, eyeing my brother’s movements in the process.
“I am telling you the truth, bro. I really apologized to her. If …. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Ethan. He was also there, and ….. and you didn’t ask me if I am injured or not, but you are worried about Amber. This is not fair. Everyone just loves her more than they love me,” I yelled, trying to guilt-trip him.
David protected Amber.
Ethan protected Amber.
All the warriors were also angry with me.
Suddenly, the feeling of being a stranger in my own home crept into my heart.
For years, I had been the pampered prince of this pack, and everyone adored me.
Now, Amber had taken that place.
Keith grunted, clearly annoyed by my weird thoughts, but he couldn’t blame me for how I reacted when Amber jumped into David’s embrace.
"But don't give me that crap about not having a sister. She is definitely not a sister to me," Keith warned me before that thought could cross my mind.
"That was just a st that I spoke to salvage the situation." I spat, angry by the mere thought of seeing Amber as a sister.
“You will train with me tomorrow morning,” Lucifer commanded angrily and went back to his chair.
I felt as if someone had drained my whole blood.
Even Keith howled in pain, shooting daggers at me at the back of my mind.
"Bro, I just came back to rest for a few days," I pleaded, my voice cracking badly.
"Training is must for everyone, and it's not like I am sending you for a battle," he replied coldly, stabbing the food with his fork and knife as if he were murdering someone.
"I am still injured." I threw the second excuse.
Lucifer shot daggers at me through his eyes, making me tremble so hard that I almost fell on the ground.
"Wh... what..... we should call David and Amber, too. They are really good," I added the next, my eyes darting everywhere in the dinning room.
His eyes turned dark again.
