Chapter 36
(Damian's POV).
"Tell me. You're the one who spread the rumors all over the pack, aren't you?" I snarled in front of Sam and gripped his collar tightly with a burst of anger.
As soon as morning came, I went straight to Sam to ask him for answers. Because the only one who knew about this problem was Sam. I beat him to a pulp until nightfall and he remained silent without saying anything.
"Tell me, asshole!" I shouted.
"Alpha Damian, please stop!" cried Agatha. I saw her crying hysterically with Chaiden and Rafael holding her hands.
"You'd better shut your mouth if you don't want to end up like Sam did. Or are you betraying me and conspiring with him against me?" I urged. I looked sharply at Agatha.
"No. It has nothing to do with this, Damian," Sam hissed.
I chuckled at Sam's attitude which seemed to be trying to protect Agatha. I wonder if their relationship became real without my knowledge.
"Then answer my question. Are you the one who spread all that news? Answer me if you don't want to see your beloved Mate get hurt, Sam," I threatened. I tightened my grip on his collar even more.
"Yes. I was the one who spread the rumors," he said.
I widened my eyes in disbelief. "How dare you do that! Looks like you're tired of living, huh?!" I shouted in disgust. "I warned you not to mess with me, Sam. But it looks like you'd rather die at my hands," I hissed.
He smirked. Staring at me so haughtily that it made me even angrier.
"I'm not going to die. Because Juliette won't let you touch me," he said.
"You're too confident, Sam. Juliette won't even realize you're dead."
"Are you sure about what you're saying?"
I furrowed my brow. Wondering why she was so confident in her words. Even if Juliette begs me not to kill her, I will still do it. Because of Sam, Juliette now hates me for knowing the whole truth about her parents' death.
"Yes. I'll kill you for daring to mess with me," I threatened.
"That will never happen, Damian!"
I look back and I see Juliette walking into the house. I was surprised to see her suddenly there when she should be in her bed right now.
"Juliette..."
"Let him go, Damian," she ordered. She stared at me with her eyes bulging.
"What are you doing here?" I demanded. She pulled my hand away roughly and stood right in front of Sam, protecting him.
"You expect me to lie on the bed while you're busy torturing innocent people?" she challenged me. Then glanced sharply at Rafael and Chaiden. "Let her go," she ordered.
"B-But Luna...."
"I said, let her go!" shouted Juliette.
I growled while clenching my fists angrily as I watched Rafael and Chaiden let Agatha go and she ran to hide behind Sam.
"What are you doing, Juliette?" I hissed, glaring at her.
"Keeping you from doing something bad," she said.
"Julietteー"
"Tell me, is it true that it was you who told Agatha to seduce Sam so that Sam would throw me away? So that I could make you Luna?" she asked.
My eyes widened in shock. I don't know where she got that information but I really felt so scared. I was afraid this would make Juliette hate me even more.
"Where did you get such information?" I asked.
"That's not important. Answer me, Damian. Did you really do all that?!" she snapped. "You said that you wouldn't lie to me!"
"Juliette..."
"He killed your parents and he's doing all sorts of sneaky things to keep us apart. He really has no heart," Sam said. I glanced at him.
"Shut your mouth or I'll rip it out so I won't be able to talk anymore," I threatened. I looked back at Juliette and pulled her hand away. "I'll explain everything at home," I said.
"Why don't you explain it here? I want to hear the answer... now!" she shouted as she brushed my hand away roughly.
I didn't know what to do at that moment, but I had no other choice but to be honest with her.
"I did do it allー"
"You're such a crazy bastard, Damian!" I couldn't finish my sentence when Juliette slapped my face so hard. And what makes me angry is the smirk that appears on Sam's face. I really want to kill him. Right now she must be feeling so happy that I'm helpless under Juliette's control.
"I did it so that I could take better care of you," I said.
"I can't believe you could do something this petty to achieve your desires. You really let me down, Damian. Killed my parents, got me dumped by my Mate, and now you're ruining my life!"
"I'm not ruining your life. I was trying to protect you," I insisted.
"From what? My life was threatened because they knew that I was your Luna. And if you weren't greedy to have me, my life would be fine without you, Damian."
Juliette's words are like a hard slap to me. I saw her crying and it hurt my heart.
"Juliette." I try to grab her hand and she swats my hand away roughly.
"I will never forgive you, Damian. And if I ever see you trying to hurt Sam or Agatha, even to the point of killing them, you will see me lifeless right then and there," she threatened.
My teeth chattered with anger. My hands were clenched tightly into fists. I saw the triumphant smiles on Sam and Agatha's faces. They were laughing at my crushing defeat. But I couldn't let that happen.
"I won't kill them," I said coldly. "On the condition that you stay by my side. Then I won't touch them."
Now, I no longer care whether Juliette hates me or not. As long as she remains mine, even in the worst way, I don't care anymore.
"Even if I don't love you and hate you?"
I grabbed her hand aggressively and pressed her body against mine. She struggled and I held her firmly.
"Ah! W-What are you doing!" she screamed.
I glared at her. “I just need to make you love me again, Juliette. And it's not difficult at all,” I hissed.
