Chapter 163 All One Family

Chapter 163 All One Family

"Mr. Simmons, why do we have to avoid her!"

Blair watched Bianca's retreating figure, gritting her teeth as she spoke.

If it weren't for Bianca, how would she have gotten expelled from school?

Now she had to endure her father's constant sarcasm at home every day. If she hadn't met this Ramon Simmons from Sunrise City, she probably would never have been able to get back on her feet!

"If you want to get back into high society, you must do exactly as I say. Otherwise, our cooperation is off, and I won't help an idiot."

Ramon clasped his hands behind his back, sneering at Blair's foolish appearance as he spoke directly.

Blair needed his help now, so naturally, she wouldn't fall out with Ramon. She quickly said without hesitation.

"Mr. Simmons, I'll definitely listen to you, don't worry!"

"You'd better."

Ramon left that remark and turned to leave. Blair, left behind with her mind full of thoughts of revenge, naturally didn't have the sense to wonder why Ramon was helping her for no reason.

After Bianca got home that evening, she kept thinking about the relationship between Blair and that Ramon. She was so lost in thought that she didn't even notice Terrence had come in from outside. It wasn't until Terrence crouched in front of her, blocking her view, that Bianca was startled and nearly tumbled off the sofa.

But mid-fall, Bianca was caught by Terrence.

Terrence gently nuzzled against Bianca's collar. "What's wrong with you? I've felt like you haven't been very happy these past couple of days. Are you sure no one's been bothering you?"

Bianca shook her head without hesitation. "Really, nothing's wrong!"

Seeing Terrence still staring at her, Bianca finally came up with an excuse. "I've been under a lot of academic pressure lately, so that's why I've been in a bad mood."

Terrence sighed. "If the academic pressure is too much, then don't study. Just stay home, and I'll take care of you for the rest of your life."

Bianca suddenly boldly reached out and pinched Terrence's nose.

"No way, I'm going to be a strong, independent woman who works hard to succeed. I don't want to depend on a man!"

Seeing Bianca so ambitious, Terrence naturally nodded in agreement.

"Yes, you're the most ambitious. You're going to be a strong businesswoman. When your company goes public, I'll go with you to ring the bell."

Bianca nodded, though she knew that ringing the bell was nothing special for Terrence.

He was just saying it to make her happy.

The two fell asleep in each other's arms. Perhaps because he saw Bianca wasn't in a great mood, Terrence didn't tire her out tonight, which meant that early the next morning, as soon as Bianca opened her eyes, she noticed something was off with the man beside her.

Terrence was staring at her with burning eyes, and he had a physical reaction.

Bianca coughed twice and tugged at Terrence's sleeve.

"It's already so late, aren't you going to work?"

Terrence buried his head in Bianca's arms and said without hesitation.

"Not going. I have something on today, so I'll stay home with you first, and take you out to dinner tonight."

Perhaps because she really had a lot on her mind, Bianca didn't ask Terrence where they were going that evening. Terrence had already had someone pick out clothes for Bianca, and the two of them went to a nearby hotel together.

As soon as they entered, a woman in a pink dress threw herself into Terrence's arms.

"Terrence, you're finally here. I've been waiting for you forever."

With Bianca by his side, Terrence naturally had to be careful about contact with other women, so he pushed Vera Sharp away.

After Terrence pushed her away, Vera's face fell. "Terrence, what's wrong with you? Don't you welcome me back to the country?"

Vera was a bit angry, but then she saw Terrence pull out a very beautiful woman from behind him. Instead of responding to her words, he lowered his head and said gently to that woman.

"This is my cousin, Vera Sharp. Vera just got back to the country, and today is a welcome party for her."

"Terrence!" Seeing that Terrence was still ignoring her, Vera shouted angrily.

"Who is this woman?"

Seeing Vera's attitude, Terrence frowned slightly.

"This is my wife, your sister-in-law. Watch your manners."

But Vera ignored Terrence's words and turned her gaze to Bianca, looking her up and down. Her eyes slowly filled with contempt, and finally she said somewhat dismissively, "So you're that Bianca? Nothing but a pretty face. Let me tell you, you're not good enough for Terrence. If you know what's good for you, you'll leave Terrence's side. That way, you can at least keep some dignity!"

The corner of Bianca's mouth twitched slowly.

She did have some memory of Vera.

In her previous life, Vera had the same attitude. She was basically Terrence's fan. If it weren't for their cousin relationship, Bianca would have even thought Vera might become one of Terrence's pursuers.

"Did you hear what I said!"

Seeing Bianca say nothing, Vera frowned and asked directly, her tone full of impatience.

But Bianca just leaned gently against Terrence.

"Terrence." Without complaining or saying anything else, just saying his name in that soft, sweet way was enough to make Terrence's heart ache.

Since it wasn't Bianca's fault, then it must be Vera's fault.

"Apologize to Bianca!" Terrence said without thinking, and this statement filled Vera's eyes with shock as she stared at Terrence in disbelief.

"Terrence, what do you mean?"

"I said, apologize to Bianca. Otherwise, you don't need to stay in the country. I'll have Barry book you a flight out tonight."

Vera was stunned.

Terrence actually wanted to send her out of the country again for a woman who was just a pretty face.

But Terrence's face was cold, without any warmth at all, completely different from the gentleness he showed Bianca. This cut Vera to the core.

She couldn't help but mutter, "What did I do wrong!"

But seeing Terrence taking Bianca's hand and about to leave, Vera finally got scared.

On one hand, she was afraid of being sent out of the country, and on the other hand, she was afraid of being rejected by Terrence, so she quickly said, "I'm sorry, okay? I was wrong. Ms. Rodriguez, please don't hold it against me!"

Bianca said nothing, just stayed close to Terrence.

Hearing this apology, Terrence frowned slightly, his face still cold.

"I already told you, Bianca is my wife, and you're still calling her Ms. Rodriguez?"

Vera pressed her lips together slightly, knowing that her behavior just now was indeed too much, especially with Terrence protecting Bianca.

So she could only say helplessly, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Anderson. I know I was wrong. I'll definitely watch what I say from now on and won't let you suffer because of me."

Bianca smiled sweetly.

"We're all family, there's no need to apologize."

Vera pressed her lips together. If there was no need to apologize, then why had she stayed silent just now?
