Chapter 46 Expulsion? Disciplinary Action? Whatever You Like
"Mr. Wright, Aria and Zoey are here."
A student called out at the office door.
The crowd automatically parted to make way as Aria and Zoey walked over.
Jeremy looked at them. "What was the reason Isabella hit Elizabeth? Isabella said Elizabeth bullied her first and damaged her personal belongings..."
"Mr. Wright, don't listen to Isabella's nonsense!" Aria glanced at Isabella with disdain, then said righteously, "What bullying her, damaging her personal belongings - those are all her excuses."
"When she first came to our dorm, we could tell she was no good person, just a bad girl!"
"We barely said two words to her and she started hitting people. She didn't just hit Elizabeth - when I tried to pull her away, she kicked me too."
Aria rubbed her stomach. "It still hurts now."
Hearing this, the crowd of onlookers immediately burst into discussion.
"How can this new student be like this? She sounds totally unreasonable."
"Look at her - does she look like a good student? I bet she's been hanging out on the streets."
"Maybe she transferred because she got expelled from another school for fighting!"
"What? How could our Stellar High School accept this kind of student? This is really bad luck."
Someone glanced at Isabella and couldn't help saying, "She's very pretty. I don't think she's that kind of person."
"Come on, don't be fooled by her looks. Some people act out precisely because they're good-looking. That girl from Aurelia International High School next door is also very pretty, right? But her private life is a total mess, she bullies classmates all the time - everyone knows how bad she is."
"Exactly, exactly."
"..."
Jeremy's look toward Isabella grew increasingly disgusted.
Fighting, being a bad student, lying and deceiving teachers to get herself off the hook.
Their Stellar High School really shouldn't be tainted by such a bad student.
"Ms. Nguyen." Jeremy said coldly, "The situation is clear now. This new student in your class has violated school rules. Technically, we can give her a demerit directly..."
Before he could finish, Isabella interrupted him. "Aria and Zoey are both parties involved. You're using two parties as witnesses - don't you think that's ridiculous? How did you people even get these positions?"
As soon as she said this, even the air in the office turned cold.
Isabella's tone carried a casual mockery that anyone could hear.
Who she was mocking was obvious.
Jeremy froze, then his face darkened. He raised his eyebrows and asked back, "Parties involved?"
Isabella glanced lightly at Jeremy. "The ones who joined Elizabeth in bullying Scarlett were Aria and Zoey. The ones who cut up my clothes and trashed my bed were also Aria and Zoey."
Hearing this, Hannah frowned. "What's this about Elizabeth bullying Scarlett?"
Scarlett was a student who had always been at the top of the class, well-behaved and polite, and was even the class study committee member.
Wasn't this supposed to be a conflict between Isabella and Elizabeth's group? How did Scarlett get involved?
Isabella glanced at her casually and told the truth. "This afternoon in the dorm, I saw them bullying Scarlett with my own eyes. They pulled Scarlett's hair, grabbed her things, insulted her, hit her, pinched her mouth open and forced drinks down her throat..."
Hannah's expression changed immediately.
She turned to look at Elizabeth, unable to contain her seriousness and anger. "Elizabeth, is what Isabella said true?"
"Ms. Nguyen." Jeremy suddenly spoke up, asking coolly, "You believe Isabella's one-sided story?"
He had dealt with plenty of problem students.
Wrong values, no moral bottom line.
To make excuses for themselves, they'd say any lie.
Isabella was clearly this type of person.
Society's scum, the lowest trash.
He looked down on her the most.
He wouldn't believe a single word!
"Mr. Wright." Hannah looked at him, her brow slightly furrowed. "Some things don't come from nowhere. If Elizabeth really bullied Scarlett first, as her homeroom teacher, I can't just ignore it."
"Nonsense!" Alice stood up. "How could our Elizabeth bully classmates? I raised Elizabeth myself - wouldn't I know? My daughter has always been well-behaved, unlike some people who have no manners!"
Jeremy turned his gaze to Isabella, looking disgusted. "You just said Elizabeth and the others ganged up to bully Scarlett, so where is Scarlett? She was wronged but didn't know to tell a teacher? Or is this whole thing something you made up!"
"Go find Scarlett." Hannah called over the class monitor from the crowd. "Go quickly and find Scarlett, bring her here."
Then she turned to look at Jeremy. "Mr. Wright, let's wait until Scarlett gets here and I can ask her clearly."
Jeremy snorted coldly and said nothing more.
Fifteen minutes passed.
The student who had been sent out earlier came running back in a hurry, face covered in sweat. "Ms. Nguyen, Scarlett's not in the dorm!"
"Not in the classroom either."
"I had classmates search everywhere, but we couldn't find her."
Seeing this, Aria and Zoey felt a mocking smile rise in their hearts.
How could that coward possibly dare to stand up?
She was probably hiding in some bathroom corner right now.
"I knew you were making it all up!" Elizabeth looked at Isabella triumphantly. "You said we bullied Scarlett - I don't even know her, why would I bully her?"
Hearing that Scarlett was missing, Isabella felt an inexplicably bad premonition.
She looked coldly at Aria and Zoey. "What did you do to Scarlett? Did you..."
"Enough." Jeremy interrupted her with a stern face. "Isabella, if you admit your mistake now, there's still a chance to salvage this. Knowing your mistakes and correcting them is good. Avoiding responsibility will only make me look down on you more!"
Isabella froze, looked at him, then suddenly laughed in anger and couldn't help but sneer coldly, "What the hell..."
The expression on Jeremy's face froze instantly. "What did you say?"
Isabella glanced at him lightly, looking completely indifferent. "You don't like me, right? Want to punish me? Fine, expulsion? Demerits? Whatever you want."
She had already died once - would she really be afraid of a demerit?
Jeremy never expected Isabella to be so brazen. His eyes immediately reddened with anger. "Isabella! I can have you leave this school right now!"
Isabella didn't even look at him, her expression showing complete disdain as if to say "do whatever you want, I don't have time to play with you," and she lifted her foot to leave.
"You..." Jeremy nearly choked on his breath.
Completely lawless!
How dare she have this attitude toward him!
He was the dean of students!
"Look at her!" Jeremy pointed at Isabella with a trembling hand, looking at Hannah with fury. "This is the good student you've taught!"
Hannah looked innocent. "Sorry, Mr. Wright, I haven't started teaching her yet."
Jeremy's face immediately turned blue with rage. "Fine, very good! She's not afraid, is she? Since she doesn't care, you as her teacher have no need to plead for her either. Expulsion! I'm expelling her right now! The school can't accommodate..."
Just as Jeremy was in a rage, a clear voice suddenly rang out from the doorway.
Scarlett: "Isabella only hit someone to help me. You can't expel her."
