Chapter 45 Expel This Problem Student Immediately
The homeroom teacher for Class 11 was a woman named Hannah Nguyen, about forty years old, in great shape. You could tell she was a beauty in her younger days, and her face gave off a tolerant and reasonable vibe.
"Mrs. Perez, I've already sent someone to get that student. She'll be here soon. We don't know the whole story yet, but once we figure out what really happened, we'll definitely handle this fairly."
"The truth?" Alice's face darkened, her tone sharp. "Look at my Elizabeth—that handprint on her face isn't obvious enough for you? What are you waiting for? It doesn't hurt when it's not your own kid getting hit, does it?"
Just as she finished speaking, the office door was pushed open.
Isabella stood in the doorway.
"Teacher, you wanted to see me?"
The moment Alice saw her, her eyes filled with disgust. "You're Isabella? You're the one who hit my Elizabeth?"
Isabella just looked at her coldly, saying nothing.
"What's with that look?" Isabella's cold, hostile stare immediately set Alice off.
She charged forward aggressively, raising her hand to slap Isabella across the face. "You ill-mannered thing! How dare you bully my Elizabeth!"
"Alice!"
Hannah stepped forward to intervene.
Alice's hand accidentally struck Hannah's face instead.
Alice hadn't expected Hannah to rush over. Her expression showed a flash of surprise, then she withdrew her hand and said coldly, "Ms. Nguyen, that wasn't intentional. You're the one who came over to block me. That's not on me."
Hannah didn't care about getting accidentally hit—it was nothing serious, not a big deal.
She positioned herself between Isabella and Alice. "Alice, no matter what, you shouldn't just start hitting people. If Isabella did something wrong, the school will naturally punish her, but if you hit someone, that's assault."
"Assault?" Alice shot her a look. "Are you deliberately protecting her? I think you have no professional ethics!"
"Alice, that's not what I mean." Hannah felt a headache coming on. "We don't know the whole story yet, there's no conclusion. Why don't we ask the people involved first?"
"What's there to ask?" Alice's attitude was severe. "My Elizabeth got slapped and had her arm twisted. This is bullying!"
"I demand that Stellar High School immediately expel this problem student!"
Alice's voice was loud, attracting quite a few passing students and teachers.
People started gathering outside the window to watch the commotion.
The dean of students, Jeremy Wright, was passing by. Seeing a crowd of students gathered there, he immediately frowned. "What's going on?"
The boy he asked jumped. "Mr. Wright?"
Jeremy glanced at the messy office. "What happened? Why are you all standing around here?"
"I heard a new student in Class 11 beat up Elizabeth from Class 10," the boy said. "Elizabeth's mom came and is demanding the school expel that problem student. Ms. Nguyen from Class 10 is handling it."
Hearing this, Jeremy's expression immediately turned stern.
He pushed through the crowd and entered Hannah's office directly.
As soon as he opened the door, the first thing he saw was a girl standing against the wall with a careless posture, her face full of defiance and indifference.
This was clearly a problem student!
Jeremy's gaze instantly turned cold, his eyes showing undisguised disgust.
Then he looked at Elizabeth from Class 10—the handprint on her face was very obvious. Clearly she was the victim.
Jeremy tapped Isabella's arm with the rolled-up book in his hand. "You're the new student in Class 11?"
Isabella lifted her eyes to look at him and nodded.
"Ms. Nguyen." Jeremy didn't look at Isabella again. "Such a small matter, and you still haven't handled it?"
Hannah turned around at the sound and saw it was Jeremy. She frowned. "Why are you here?"
"Your Class 11's business has gotten so big that all the students know about it. Shouldn't I be here?"
"It's just a little friction between students. It'll be resolved soon."
Jeremy looked at her. "How soon is soon?"
He put his hands behind his back and said flatly, "Problem students should be reported directly to me. I'll discipline them according to school rules and regulations. In serious cases, they can be expelled directly."
He glanced at Isabella, then looked at Hannah and said coldly, "So I don't know what you're wasting time on."
There were already so many people gathered outside. Did she want the students to watch the show together? If word got out, people who didn't know better would think something major happened at their school!
It was just a simple fight. Was it worth wasting time on?
"Mr. Wright, we haven't investigated the matter clearly yet." Hannah explained. "Isabella just said that Elizabeth damaged her personal belongings first, which is why she took action."
Elizabeth quickly said, "No! I didn't!"
She looked at Jeremy with righteous indignation. "Mr. Wright, that's just Isabella's excuse. Aria and Zoey can testify."
Jeremy's brow furrowed. "Then get Aria and Zoey over here. Let's see what the eyewitnesses have to say!"
Meanwhile.
Second floor bathroom.
Aria and Zoey had Scarlett cornered.
Zoey gripped Scarlett's hand tightly, her other hand lightly patting her face. "Bitch, you know Elizabeth's mom is here, right? She's in the homeroom teacher's office right now."
Scarlett stared at her hard, saying nothing.
"I'm telling you, if you dare say anything you shouldn't, Elizabeth won't let you off, and the Perez family won't let you off either!" Aria warned, raising her hand to yank Scarlett's hair hard.
Scarlett winced in pain, looking at them with frightened eyes.
"Don't think you're something special just because someone helped you!" Zoey said. "That Isabella can't compete with Elizabeth at all."
"You know the Perez family's reputation. Even the principal has to think twice about them. Teachers in Class 10 don't dare mess with Elizabeth. What is some new girl Isabella?"
"Besides, that Isabella is even poorer than your family. She has nothing."
With that, Zoey roughly grabbed her chin. "I'm telling you, Isabella will be kicked out of school soon. If you still want to stay at Stellar High School and study properly, you know what you should and shouldn't say!"
"Your mom works as a cleaner to put you through school. That's not easy, is it?"
"If you get expelled from Stellar High School, no other school will take you. Then your whole life will be ruined."
"Which is more important—I think you should know."
After the warning, Zoey shoved her away.
The metal bucket in the corner was kicked over with a dull thud.
Scarlett huddled in the corner, looking down at her knees that were scraped bloody from the impact. She clenched her fists, tears falling uncontrollably...
