Chapter 117 Isn't Infinity Entertainment Inc. My Own?
As soon as Isabella heard this, she immediately understood that Violet must have failed the audition.
"It's okay, you don't need to apologize to me. As long as you tried your best, you can feel good about yourself."
Even if she couldn't pass Infinity Entertainment Inc.'s audition, there was still Nova Arts & Entertainment. Isabella believed that true talent would always shine through.
Lawrence, listening nearby, finally understood what was going on.
Damn it, how could he have forgotten about this?
Since he knew Isabella's friend was coming for the audition today, he should have asked Ember to give the audition department a heads-up in advance and just bring Isabella's friend in directly.
Lawrence pulled out his phone, about to message Ember to fix this.
Just then, several disdainful female voices reached his ears:
"How about that, Violet? See what I'm capable of?"
"Exactly! How dare you question our Layla's abilities. Now you see clearly - our Layla passed Infinity Entertainment Inc.'s audition with ease!"
"Unlike some people. Look at that face, so pathetic, clearly hit hard by the rejection."
Violet stared at them, clenching her fists, but had no energy to say anything more.
The fact was she had indeed been outperformed by Layla. If Layla could pass the audition, maybe she really did have something special.
Her skills weren't good enough - Violet had nothing to say about that.
But Isabella couldn't stand their mockery. "So what if you passed the audition? What's so great about that? Violet might do better than you in the future."
From what she knew, in the coming years, there was no one named Layla worth mentioning, but Violet would become somewhat famous.
She didn't know what this Layla had to be so proud of.
Even at this point, this girl still dared to look down on her. Layla was instantly furious. "What do you know? Do you think I'm just anybody?"
She curled her lips with pride. "I'll tell you the truth - my uncle is the director of the audition department. With my uncle around, I'll get the best resources. I'll only get more and more popular, and sooner or later become a hot superstar."
Violet was shocked and suddenly looked up at Layla. "What did you say?"
The director of the audition department.
She suddenly remembered the man the other two interviewers had been consulting with. She hadn't noticed at the time that he had the same last name as Layla.
So that's the connection.
"Just figuring it out now?"
Layla's gaze swept leisurely over Violet. "So now you know why you got rejected? That's right, I told my uncle not to let you pass, so today there was no way you could pass the audition no matter what."
Violet was stunned.
No wonder.
No wonder that man rejected her without even giving a proper explanation.
It wasn't that she lacked ability - she was deliberately targeted.
Lawrence, standing nearby, heard Layla's words loud and clear and immediately said angrily, "The director of the audition department is actually colluding with you? Does he know this violates Infinity Entertainment Inc.'s senior management regulations?"
Only then did Layla notice there was a young man here. She turned her head and looked at him mockingly. "So what? Who are you to talk about matters between Infinity Entertainment Inc.'s senior management?"
"Layla, is this guy an idiot? Coming to this kind of event dressed like that - it's hilarious," a girl next to her mocked.
Layla laughed too. "Your whole group is really something special. It's bad enough that you two have no taste, and now here comes someone with no brain either."
"How I dress is none of your business," Lawrence said angrily. "I'm telling you, your audition qualification is canceled. Get out of here right now!"
Layla froze, then burst out laughing.
"What? You're going to cancel my audition qualification? And make me leave?"
"Violet, where did you find this nutcase? This is too funny!"
Then she looked at Lawrence mockingly. "Actually talking big about kicking me out - do you think Infinity Entertainment Inc. is your family's company?"
"Infinity Entertainment Inc. is exactly my family's company," Lawrence said coldly. "And that director of the audition department you mentioned - as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't need to continue in that position starting today."
"Alright, alright, I think you belong in a mental hospital," Layla laughed uncontrollably. "Crazy talk - you're really quite sick."
Layla didn't even give Lawrence another glance.
Her eyes were full of contempt.
She saw a patrolling security guard passing by and immediately said, "Security, come here. Take this lunatic out. We can't have him hurting the handsome guys and beautiful girls who came here for the audition."
Hearing this, the security guard walked over and looked at Layla. "Miss, what's the problem?"
Layla looked coldly at Lawrence and lifted her chin. "It's this person. Hurry up and get him out. He must have papers from a mental hospital."
He had just said he would kick her out - well, let's see who kicks who out.
The two security guards paused and looked over.
With that look, their expressions changed.
Lawrence?
The guards' faces showed shock, then they quickly turned to look at Layla, their brows furrowing tightly.
They were supposed to kick Lawrence out?
Was this woman out of her mind?
The entire Infinity Entertainment Inc. belonged to the Parker Family. Even if you gave them ten times the courage, no one would dare act up in front of Lawrence.
"Why aren't you moving?" Layla was very impatient. "This is Mr. Scott's order! Execute it now!"
"Oh, and these two women..." Layla pointed at Isabella and Violet. "They're with this lunatic. Throw them out too, so they don't get in my way."
The two security guards exchanged glances, basically confirming that this woman was indeed sick.
Without a word, they each grabbed one of Layla's arms and started dragging her out.
Layla didn't even have time to react before she was dragged several steps. She was dumbfounded. "What are you doing? I told you to kick him out, didn't you hear me? Let me go! Let me go!"
The other girls were also stunned and rushed forward to pull her back. "Let go of Layla! Are you crazy? Layla's uncle is the director of the audition department!"
"You blind fools, do you know what you're doing?"
"Let go of Layla now."
Director of the audition department?
It wouldn't matter who came.
No matter how much they shouted, the security guards remained unmoved and threw Layla straight out.
"You're done! You're all done!" Layla stamped her feet anxiously at the entrance of Infinity Entertainment Inc. "Are you crazy? Do you want to keep your jobs or not?"
They were supposed to kick that lunatic out, and these two disobedient security guards actually kicked her out instead.
Did they not believe Gemma was her uncle?
"I'm telling you, you don't believe me now, but I'll make you regret it later!"
They were just two security guards - she'd just have Gemma fire them later.
But the security guards had no time to talk to her and turned to leave.
Layla tried to barge back in but was stopped by the guards at the entrance.
Layla's face looked terrible, and she was trembling with anger.
