“Scar, where did you guys go? I have been looking for you since I woke up,” Angela rushed to her as soon as they walked in the house.
Scarlet was startled and stared at her for a while. It didn’t take long for Angela to frown when she saw how unresponsive she was. She turned to Sophia who was looking at them.
“Oh, please. You speak as if you are the only one who had been looking for her and we have been searching for her the whole times. Us, not just you,” Brooke said as she walked to them causing Angela roll her eyes but didn’t say anything.
Samantha and Brianna who was just behind the two were staring at Scarlet in worry. They could tell that there was something wrong.
“I have searched for some ideas on how our horse club should look like. Scar, let’s go in and see them,” Brianna said causing Scarlet turn to her.
Scarlet looked at the worry in her friends eyes and sighed deeply. Yes, she wasn’t alone in this life, she had her family, her brothers, aunt, and even had friends who loved and cared so much for her.
How can she not win this? Get her revenge and have a bright future ahead? She had already changed a lot of things, that meant that she can changed more than she just changed.
A smile appeared on her face, as they gloominess in her eyes faded away. Seeing this, Sophia sighed in relief.
She thought that it was a good thing that the girls were close. This time, she felt that they had made the right choice by living around the area where the girls family lived.
This meant that the girls would always be together most of the time.
She wasn’t the only one who had seen the change, the girls and her brothers had also seen it, and they relaxed.
Though Scarlet had not replied at Angela’s question, the girls didn’t need her to reply as they could tell where she was. After all, only that family could make her be so gloomy.
“Let’s go. Mom said that today, I can spend the night here with Scarlet then go back tomorrow. I really don’t want to leave,” Angela complained as they walked away.
“Me too. I pleaded with mom but she told me that I shouldn’t be stubborn and spoilt. If only we were sisters and living together,” Brooke said causing Brianna flash them an envious look.
“At least you guys get to see each other at school. You only spend the nights alone, unlike me who will most probably see you during Scarlet’s birthday as I will come to celebrate it and bring her some gifts,” Brianna said stunning Scarlet.
She had not even planned on celebrating her birthday but there was someone who was eagerly looking forward to it. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say as she was so touched. This also made her vow to treat her friends good.
“Sorry but after we are done with our high school exams, we will never get separated as we will go to the same school and maybe live together,” Samantha said as she patted Brianna’s back, then flashed a smile to Scarlet who still had an awkward look on her face.
