“Let’s go,” Scarlet said as she turned around to leave as she wasn’t in a mood to stay there any longer.
After they walked out, Scarlet stopped and looked up at the sky. The sun was shining brightly and the weather was so hot.
She really missed the comfortable days when they were in USA, at least she didn’t have to care about the Jenkins or even see them. Now, she frowned as she felt awful, wishing that she had already completed her highschool studies and reached eighteen.
She would have gotten rid of them then leave this place for good. She wasn’t comfortable at all.
Sophia patted her back causing Scarlet to turn to her and look at her in confusion.
“Why care about these stupid people? Don’t let them get in your head. You should be happy and smiling when you remember that he isn’t your real father and think of Mr Williams and your other family in America,” Sophia said stunning Scarlet.
Yes, she had forgotten about them for a bit. She recalled how much she had worked hard to get Mr Jenkins approve, his love and everything. For him to always look at her with the same gaze he looks at Ann but all there was, was nothing but disgust.
She couldn’t help but compare him with Mr Williams, a smile appeared on her face. That man looked at her with doting and affectionate gaze. He really loved her and could do anything for her.
She took a deep breath, thinking that if she had known that that family weren’t related with her by blood, she would have avoided them in her past life. Maybe, she wouldn’t have died so miserable.
She started walking but still there was a frown on her face.
She remembered that Ann had killed her cause she wanted to take her place when her mother’s family arrived. It had been said that they had been searching for her and they had found her family.
Since Martin and her brothers knew her, how could they have been fooled and confused Ann as me? She had not forgotten what she had been told when she was dying.
She felt that something was fishy but she really couldn’t explain what it was. Maybe, she would have to investigate slowly, maybe, she would find something interesting which she had not found yet.
“How are the Whites?” Scarlet asked as she looked at Martin as he was the one who had a contact with them.
“Some case as the Jenkins, all the week, they had bodyguards guarding them to prevent them from going to America. Now that we are dropping the guards guarding the Jenkins, the bodyguards over there will be dropped too,” Martin said causing Scarlet nod.
She had not forgotten that she had bought some of the Whites shares.
After being reborn, she had thought that her godparents were sincere towards her. Her brothers and sister, their kids, hated and sided with the Jenkins cause of the accident but now, she understood it better.
