Chapter 84: She Said She Was a Student of That Particularly Skilled Doctor?

Chapter 84: She Said She Was a Student of That Particularly Skilled Doctor?

Bianca bit her lip and stayed quiet, not daring to say anything more.

"We'll talk about the points later. As long as Wren cures her, the points are hers!" James said through clenched teeth.

Emily nodded at Wren. "Go ahead."

James was a proud man, but saying this in front of everyone meant he wouldn't back down later.

Wren stepped forward and started pressing a few acupressure points on Aurora. Aurora, who had been trembling, slowly began to calm down.

Seeing this, Chase was already half-convinced of Wren's medical skills. When Wren started using needles, he didn't object. Once the needles were in place, Aurora stopped trembling, and her complexion visibly improved.

Chase's face lit up. As Wren removed the needles, he eagerly asked, "Aurora, do you feel any better? Take your time and check."

He was worried about a repeat of Bianca's earlier incident.

Aurora took a moment to assess herself, then nodded. "I really feel different, lighter than I've ever felt before. Thank you, doctor."

She spoke softly, with a gentle demeanor that made her likable. She also apologized on Chase's behalf, "I'm sorry, Chase was just worried and didn't mean to target you. Please don't take it personally."

Wren, having trained under her teacher and seen various patients and their families in the hospital, was used to such reactions. Some families were reluctant to let her treat them because of her age.

Wren shrugged it off. "It's fine. I don't mind. Take the medicine home and it'll help alleviate your symptoms, but I'm afraid I can't cure you completely."

Chase's face changed. "You can't cure her completely? Then who can? If you know what her illness is, you must know someone who can cure it, right?"

Wren glanced at Emily, but Emily remained silent, indicating she didn't want to get involved. So Wren said, "If you find that particularly skilled doctor, she can cure her."

"I came here hoping to find that doctor. I heard she's participating in this competition, so I brought Aurora to try our luck," Chase said, frustrated. Then he turned to James. "James, since you're the organizer, you must know who she is, right?"

James didn't know, but he could find out.

Bianca quickly linked her arm with James and whispered, "James, if that skilled doctor is here, you can find out, right? I really love medicine and want to help you in the future. Can you help me?"

James, softened by Bianca's pleading look, especially after Emily's earlier aggression, nodded. "Alright, what do you need me to do?"

James thought it was just a matter of agreeing to Chase's request to find that skilled doctor.

But Bianca spoke up, "Chase, I'm sorry for my lack of skill earlier. Actually, that skilled doctor is my teacher. I haven't been learning long, so I made a mistake. I'll ask my teacher to treat Aurora and make up for my error."

Chase looked at Bianca skeptically. "You really know that skilled doctor?"

Wren glanced at Emily, then at Bianca, wanting to call her out. Emily, however, laughed. "So that skilled doctor is your teacher? With a student like you, I bet that doctor must be furious!"

Wren hadn't known Bianca was Emily's sister. But seeing how Bianca and Chase treated Emily coldly, it made sense they didn't know Emily's identity. Bianca seemed sweet and innocent but was quite the liar.

Wren couldn't help but say, "Since Bianca is the student of that skilled doctor, it should be easy. Just ask her to bring the doctor here."

Bianca glared at Wren, wishing she could silence her. But Chase took Wren's words to heart. "Bianca, call your teacher now and ask him to help Aurora."

Bianca's expression stiffened. But she quickly thought on her feet. "Those highly skilled people have their quirks. Let me find him and persuade him to help. Wren said Aurora is stable for now, right?"

Chase wanted to say more, but Aurora tugged his hand. "Let's go with Bianca's plan."

Aurora's eyes hid a knowing look. She could tell Bianca wasn't entirely truthful, but if Bianca promised, she must be able to find that skilled doctor. As long as she could get treated, it didn't matter. Plus, Bianca's close relationship with James made it wise not to offend her.

Emily noticed Aurora's quick thinking and was impressed. She wasn't a fool. No wonder in the past life, Aurora had manipulated Chase into divorcing Wren after learning he was from the Johnson family.

But Bianca's lie was quite bold this time.

With the matter settled, Chase took Aurora to rest at the hotel, temporarily ignoring Emily. Bianca, eager to find that skilled doctor, dragged James away.

James asked the host and assistants to handle the remaining matters and then contacted Joe. He understood that Bianca wanted to use her connection to the skilled doctor to erase her mistake and gain respect.

James asked around, but no one knew who the skilled doctor was. Finally, he heard Joe might know and decided to visit him with Bianca. Joe was a highly respected figure, but James was confident the Smith family's influence would sway him.

"Are you leaving already? Do you have any more of those pills you gave me last time?" Joe was humbly asking Emily for more medicine. The last pill had been used, and he couldn't analyze its ingredients.

Emily smiled. "I don't have any more, but I can give you the recipe."

Top-tier recipes were priceless, and Emily's willingness to share it impressed Joe. "You have both talent and ethics. Your future is bright."

"Joe!" James and Bianca arrived just then. They were surprised to see Emily with Joe, who was nodding kindly at her.

Bianca panicked, thinking Emily was trying to sabotage her. She quickly said, "Emily, you may have charmed Mr. Smith to get this judge's spot, but being a doctor requires skill and talent. Trying to charm Mr. Watson won't work; he's too upright for that!"

Joe raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed with Bianca's outburst. "Miss Bianca, you should know better than to make such accusations. Emily has earned her place here through hard work and dedication."

James, sensing the tension, stepped in. "Joe, we were hoping you could help us find the skilled doctor who can treat Aurora. Bianca mentioned she knows the doctor, but we need your help to locate them."

Joe's expression softened as he looked at James. "I'll see what I can do. But remember, true skill and talent come from dedication and hard work, not from connections or charm."

Bianca's face turned red with embarrassment, but she managed to nod in agreement. "Thank you, Mr. Watson. We'll wait for your guidance."

Emily watched the interaction with a knowing smile, realizing that Bianca's plan might not be as foolproof as she thought.
