Chapter 146 Chapter 146
Ethan's POV
I stared in Lucian's room for a while after our intimate moment. I always felt like sleeping after we did it, but I knew I had to go to my own dorm.
Lucian leaned closer to me and kissed me softly on the neck. I blushed and my cheeks reddened. Then he spanked me hard on the ass that I yelped.
“Come on. I have to be heading to my room.”
“So soon? Wouldn't you stay here for some more time,” Lucian said and ran his fingers against my skin.
I shrugged. “I just thought I should leave and go and train. You know Sebastian made the announcement about the graduation, and I'd be damned if I don't graduate.”
“Fine. You can go, but are you training without me? I should come along with you and teach you.”
I didn't say anything. Lucian began wearing his clothes and I also wore mine. We were dressed and walked towards the door. We left the room.
We went to the training area. I wasn't surprised that there were some people there. It was mostly pairs of omegas and alphas. I presumed it was the pairs that the academy had made of one omega and one alpha to guide him in training.
Lucian guided me to a clear spot. There were some tools there. He pointed at a weight lift. “Let's see how far you can go,”
He gave me the weight lift and my hands shook as I held it. He adjusted the weights and reduced them. I took a deep breath, feeling much better as he had done that.
I was lying on a workout bench with my legs touching the floor. I took the weight lift up and down as I exercised. I could feel the strain on my hand muscles but I wasn't giving up yet.
I lifted it and Lucian just kept looking at my face like he was analyzing something.
“You're doing great. Give me fifty pushes and then we can move to something else.”
I paused. Fifty? I had barely done ten and I was already exhausted. I took a deep breath. Lucian nodded at me, that look of I could do it.
I took one more deep breath before I started. I counted as I did it.
“One, two, three, four, five…” I paused and then continued. I was at twenty when I began feeling very exhausted.
My breathing was husky.
“You're just at twenty. You have thirty more to go.”
I breathed heavily and looked around. Some of the people who were here had begun to leave. There were only two people left and they weren't working out, rather they were talking.
“Come on, Ethan. Don't give up yet. When those muscles start to pop out, you'd be thanking me for pushing you through it.”
I held the weightlift and a smile appeared on Lucian's face. It looked like an encouraging smile, like he was encouraging me to keep going.
I lifted it and continued counting. I didn't take any rest until I reached forty. When I counted forty, I rested for a short while and Lucian didn't complain about it. He simply gave me a chance and allowed me to rest.
I continued from where I stopped and I got to fifty. Lucian rushed over to me and hugged me and lifted me up.
“See, you did it. It wasn't that hard after all.”
I nodded. “It wasn't,”
Lucian looked around the training room. Only one person was left and the person was on his phone and wasn't training.
“Should we continue or should we call it a day?”
“Let's call it a day. We'll continue tomorrow.”
Lucian smiled. “You're getting better in the combat fights. Keep it up and don't forget to always have your footwork right.”
I nodded. Lucian had always emphasized footwork during sparring. He told me that was the Hallmark of if you will defeat your opponent or not. He had said that it was easy for your opponent to throw you down if your grip was bad. I had learnt that from him long ago and I always used it. I got up from the bench and looked at Lucian. He looked at me too and I didn't know what was going on in his mind.
“My birthday is coming up,” Lucian said finally. “My father wants me to celebrate it big, but I'm not sure if I want to celebrate it.”
I smiled. “You should definitely celebrate it. It's your big day after all.”
Lucian took a deep breath. “I have a gift for you for my birthday. I'm sure you'd enjoy it.”
My eyes lit up instantly. “What is it?”
“You'd see it on my birthday. You just have to be patient. My birthday is in a month’s time.”
Damn. Now he had made me so anxious and interested and I couldn't wait for his birthday to arrive. What gift did he have for me? I tried to think about it but nothing was coming to my mind.
I let it go after some time. I was going to find out on his birthday. I also needed to make a birthday gift for him. I wasn't sure what he would like, but I was going to try my best to get something special.
We left the training room. Lucian headed to his dorm while I left for my room. When I got there, I met Owen seated on the bed. He was smiling and looking at a book. He dropped the book and looked up immediately when he saw me.
Marcus' area was empty. Marcus wasn't in the room.
I noticed Owen sigh and then he looked at me.
“Adrian has refused to let go of me. He hates me and I know it, but he reported to Sir Sebastain that I didn't want to be his partner. What does he gain out of doing that?”
I looked at Owen. I felt sorry for him. I could only imagine how it felt to be paired with someone who wanted nothing positive to do with you.
“It's going to pass,” I said in a comforting voice. “Just try hard to ignore his taunts.”
“I wish I can,”
“Can I tell you something else, Ethan?”
“Sure.” I responded.
