Chapter 33 CHAPTER 33

Chapter 33 CHAPTER 33
Dante

My hands slid away from Sera’s wet skin as Viora stood a few feet away, her nose flaring in anger. As much as I hated her, thank fuck that she came because of she hadn't?

The thought of what I would have done to Sera scared me. I set her down carefully, not wanting to let her go.

“Are you good?”

She nods. “Good. Take the left corridor, it should take you to your room quickly,” I told her.

Sera gave a small squeak and wrapped her wet robe as tight as she could, then fled to her room.

Viora’s eyes followed her, jealousy in them. “What was that about?” She snapped.

This bitch. “What are you not doing here?” I retorted.

“I was just—”

“Just because Lucian does not let you dine with us, then your punishment is lifted,” her scowl deepened and I was pleased that she understood what I meant. “This is not my wing. You are allowed here.”

“You must be confused, my dear king,” Viora replied, waving her hand around. “This falls under the outer wings of the castle too, exactly where I am meant to be and of all places, you brought the castle whore here to make out with her,” she snarled.

I clenched my fist.

There was no need to give in to her jabs. Calling Sera a whore was just to get underneath my skin and I would not give her that fucking satisfaction. I turned, walking to my own wing.

“Dante,” she said, her voice softer. “Dante please listen to me,” Viora pleaded, following me. “If you're seeking pleasure, why not me? Why her?”

I would rather stuff hot coal down my throat. “Don’t leave me Viora,” I sighed.

“I don't want to leave you,” the silly bird said, twisting my words again. “Have you forgotten none of you are meant to get close to her, so there won't be bias? Have you forgotten what happened the last time? When you all fell for the same woman?”

I stopped and turned to her. “Do not tell everyone,” I growled. “Don't let the chaos unfold.”

Viora stepped closer, touching my arm. “Of course I won't,” she breathes, looking up at me. “I would keep any secret of yours. I just want something back.”

Damn this stupid curse.

I leaned down. Her eyes closed and her lips parted, then I soft brushed my lips against the side, going for her ear.

“Don’t be careful,” I said, my voice low, “someone might actually not mistake you for a saint, instead of what Sera is not. You are not sounding very desperate to me. It's not pathetic,” I hissed.

I straightened and walked away immediately, leaving her to muse on my words. Just before I turned, I heard a wrangled cry come from behind, my words finally making sense to her.

“How dare you compare me to her?” She shrieked. “You're a fool,Dante. A ducking fool and I can't wait for you to see it.”

I smirked as I walked away, knowing he couldn't follow me here. Maybe it was time I spoke to Lucian about her, this little crush turning into something else.

I closed my chamber door behind me, and collapsed, sucking in a real fucking breath.

Fuck Sera.

I could still feel her soft skin, her hard nipple in my mouth. The way she writhes against my body, rubbing herself on my pants, her moans of pleasure. How I restrained myself, I couldn't even tell, yet, her smell still lingered in my nose, my mind screaming for more.

Althea’s words flashed in my head and I struggled to stand up, desire still coursing through me. She said she did a scrying bowl spell, and Sera’s had turned red.

Did that match what I had seen then? She already hated vampires, that attack was so bloody.

And now, this. Someone has compelled her. Whoever she was, her effect on the castle was starting to show the cracks, in us especially.

I touched my lips slowly, her heart beat ringing in my ear as my lips trailed down her skin, how soft, how good she tasted.

“Continue,” I hissed, running my hands through my hair. Here I was, alone in my room fucjing thinking about how a girl's skin felt.

I walked to my bed and pushed it away easily. I barely slept on it, yet the servants came in and dressed it everyday, against my orders.

But the bed was not my target. Behind it, a small iron door stood. I opened it and the smell of violets filled the air.

The little plants I hid here. This terrarium I had done, just to hide the vervain that grew amongst the other plants. I found what I was looking for and plucked it, inspecting the leaf.

This should be enough for her. Even though I knew Lucian and Caspian would be against it, I could not leave her without any sort of defense.

Especially since we are inviting her predators to come see her. Goddess helps her, if she meets a predator that does not respect boundaries.
