RP Chapter 32
She felt around for her phone, but it was nowhere within her reach. “Kyle, Kyle, please wake up, Kyle, please?” she begged. He wasn’t moving, she couldn’t focus enough to even tell if he was breathing or not. She sucked in a lung full of air when she heard the glass and other wreckage shuffle outside the wrecked Keep.
She had failed, she should have been paying more attention to what was in front of them. She could have warned Kyle sooner. Someone was outside the Jeep though, the light hair along her skin stood on end, this wasn’t good at all. Kyle still wasn’t moving, and she was in trouble.
Cunningham cursed loudly when he heard Kacey yell, the sound of breaking glass, and squealing tires. Something bad happened and it was still happening. He could barely hear Kacey calling out for Kyle but Kyle either was answering so low he couldn’t hear, or his agent wasn’t responding to Kacey at all.
He rushed from his office and hurried to get Donovan. Cunningham burst into the room where they were still holding Donovan. “I need you to track this call, Davenport, and fast, Kyle and Kacey are in trouble.” Cunningham snatched the youngest Davenport from the chair and rushed him back to his office and thrust him down in the computer chair. “Trace it, now.” He ordered.
He stood there frozen as Donovan began to punch in some keys and tried to lock in on the signal of Kacey ’s phone. He knew he shouldn’t have sent the two alone, more should have gone, then again the number he would have sent could be in this trouble as well, or worse caused the trouble since he was only trusting a few of his agents now.
His teeth grinded together at the wait for Donovan.
“I got ‘em, corner of fifteenth and seventh,” Donovan explained.
Cunningham rushed around and got Donovan ready, then he got Shawn, Davis and Agent Cooper.
The five of them rushed out of AS as soon as they were ready and jumped in the SUV to save Kacey and Kyle, they had to hurry.
Kacey looked toward Kyle again. “KY, please wake up, Ky, please.” She pleaded with Kyle mentally that he’d wake up, that he’d be okay but no such luck this time.
She looked back at her door when she heard it being pried open. She went to reach for her seatbelt to try to undo it, but instant pain erupted through her arm.
The door opened the rest of the way and an arm reached over her even as she tried to shove it away with her unhurt arm. She heard the belt unclick as the man’s other arm wrapped around her and lifted her out of the Jeep.
She began to kick her legs and tried to wing her elbow back into the man like Shawn and all the Davenports taught her to do. “Kyle! Kyle!” she screamed at the top of her lungs praying internally the man she loved woke up. She knew he wouldn’t be able to do very much but she had to try. Just to see him move a little would relax her but that wasn’t the case.
As soon as her feet hit the pavement she swung her elbow back again, but a cloth and hand were slammed over her mouth tightly. She continued to struggle until her vision began to blur greatly and her body went limp.

Kyle let out a groan as he started to come to. His vision was blurred, and his head felt like it weighed a ton while being beaten repeatedly. He felt something sticky along the side of his head and neck.
His body ached all over and he realized he wasn’t sitting right in the Jeep. He was drooped to the side a little. He glanced out his window and was met with an eye full of pavement.
He winced as he moved a little, they had been in a wreck. The car had shot out of nowhere. Kacey, was she okay? He jerked too fast as he looked over to where she should have been, causing his head to spin a little. When things finally stood still long enough he focused on the empty seat beside him.
He let out a curse and reached for his belt to unhook it. “Kacey? Kacey where are you?” Every bad scenario ran through his mind, what if she’d been thrown from the Jeep, but he hadn’t been and he made sure to tighten her belt nice and tight before all hell had broken loose.
Kyle pushed the pain away as he moved his body sideways to get out of the Jeep. He grunted as he pushed against the driver’s side door frame and began to move up out of the passenger’s side door, which he just realized was open. Maybe Kacey got out and called for more help for him when he wouldn’t answer her. He continued to get out of the Jeep and as soon as he could he began to look around for his girl. Fear seized his heart instantly, she was nowhere in sight, maybe she had managed to run. One could only hope.
He pulled out his phone and began to dial her number, but it went straight to voicemail, which wasn’t right, she had been on the phone with Cunningham, at least he had told her to call him. He heard tires squeal before he seen the AS SUV come into view. Well, she had at least gotten through to Cunningham, but now where was she?
He froze a little as Davis, Shawn, Donovan, Cunningham and Cooper got out of the SUV.
“Kyle, where is my little sister?” Shawn demanded as he rushed over to Kyle.
Kyle tensed, making his body ache even more than when he was trying to get out of the Jeep. “I’m hoping she took off, I told her to run and get a hold of you guys if something happened while we were on this mission.”
“What the hell did happen, Davenport?” Cunningham also demanded as he headed up to Kyle as well, only a little slower than Shawn had.
“We were leaving the bank when I saw the SUV following us, it was black and had very dark tinted windows, I knew it wasn’t good, I told Kacey to get a hold of you to tell you we needed back up, I knew we weren’t going to make it back to Alpha before shit hit the ceiling,” Kyle moved a hand to the back of his neck to rub it a little as it began to hurt along with his head. “Shit hit the ceiling faster than I anticipated, a car came out of nowhere from the side and rammed into my side, I don’t really know what happened after that, I blacked out right after we were hit.” He glanced around trying his best to think of where Kacey could have gone.
