Chapter 9 CHAPTER NINE
EMILY’S POV
The moonlight shines on my face as I float on my back, my body enjoying the coldness of the water I was swimming in.
I gasped as I was suddenly pulled down, my body dragged by an unknown force as I struggled, trying to swim to the top. My eyes stink from the harshness of the water, my lungs throbbing from holding my breath for too long.
I struggled once more, my body giving up in exhaustion from the force at which I drowned. I coughed out weakly, water greedily sinking into my lungs as it drowned me from the inside.
I jotted awake, my body shaking as I coughed aggressively. I ran my hands up my body, amazed that I was still alive. Standing up I take in my surroundings, my eyes adjusting to the brightness of the room.
I was in a white bright room, a single bed pushed to the corner, with an old TV, repeatedly playing a particular verse to one of my favorite songs.
Where am I? I whispered, my voice echoing round the room.
I walked towards the transparent glass on the other side of the room, cupping my hands as I peeked in.
Helllo!!!! I screamed, my voice echoing back.
I started pounding on the glass, convinced that someone was watching me from behind it.
Help!!! me, somebody help!!!! I screamed, pounding the glass with all my might. Yet the glass remained firm, not a single dent from how hard I had been pounding on it.
Finally I stopped, exhausted.
The TV stopped playing, a static sound filling the whole room. The screeching sound increased, my head throbbing unable to bear the overwhelming sound. I placed my hands on my ear, screaming.
Make it stop!!!!! I screamed, please!!!someone make it stop. I fell down to the floor, curling my body, my hands on my ear as I rocked back and forth.
Suddenly, the screeching static stopped. Slowly, I removed my hands from my ear. Tears streamed down my face, as I stood up from the floor.
The sound of children laughing filled the room. I raised my head up, the TV was playing a repeated video of two children, a girl and a boy. They were both in a field, filled with fresh sunflowers. The girl chased the boy, as he ran round the field laughing.
I apprehensively walked towards the TV, my gaze more focused on the woman on her knees, a soft smile on her face as she planted more flowers.
She raised her head up, my eyes widening at the familiar sight of my face. I shifted back from the TV
, confused with the whole eerie situation.
No!!! The woman screamed, the beautiful sunflower smeared with blood as she held her children. They were both covered in blood, their lives gone as she wailed loudly.
Suddenly she looked at me, her mouth opened wide as she roared. Let me out!!!! I staggered back, crying as fear shrouded me.
Let me out!!!!!!! Let me out!!!!!!!!!! She kept screaming, as the TV kept flashing. I screamed as everything went dark, my eyes adjusting to the darkness.
I felt a searing pain in my neck, I didn’t have enough time to react as my body crumbled to the floor.
Groaning, I opened my eyes. As I took in my surroundings, my heart sank at where I was. I was tied up on a huge tree, in a thick forest. I looked around, wondering who could possibly be doing this to me.
Tears streamed down my face, as I looked around. Everywhere was silent, even the quiet chips of birds as they went about their business was absent. Luckily, I was tied in such a way that my hands were free.
I guess whoever tied me here, wanted me to find a way to loosen myself. I flexed my hands, before stretching it to reach the loose end of the robe I had been tied with.
Eventually, I managed to free myself. My hands were bleeding and sore, I vowed to myself to make whoever was doing this pay.
I walked round the forest, confused when I ended back to the same tree I had been tied to. It took me a while, but I finally figured out that I was going in circles.
Every direction I took, always brought me back to that damn tree.
I sighed in exhaustion, before sitting down. My back against the tree as I thought of my next plan.
I raised my head as familiar laughter filled the air, standing up as I followed the sound.
pausing, as I got to a familiar area filled with sunflowers. My heart beats hard, at the sight of two children running round the field.
Suddenly, I found myself on my knees, my hands in the soil as I planted another seed. I smiled softly, calling for them to be careful.
Mummy look!!!! My son shouted, I turned my head, the smile on my face wiping off as I took in the sight before me.
A huge, black wolf with blood red eyes was standing there. It’s sharp canine barred, thick saliva running down its mouth as it growls at us.
Quickly I stood up, running towards my children. The wolf chased us as we ran, leaping on my daughter, as she fell. It clawed deeply into her back as she screamed. I stand there paralyzed, an unknown force holding my body as I watch the wolf jump on my son, tearing into his neck. His thick blood spluttered out, the red of it soaking the sunflowers as his little body convulsed.
I collapsed to the floor, my body released from the hold that had forced me to watch my children being killed. I screamed as I rushed to them, gathering both into my hands. wailing, as I looked at the red moon above.
Let me out! !!!!! The wolf said, suddenly.
I looked at the wolf that had killed my children, anger coursing through my being.
The wolf opened its mouth, Its voice loud and deep, as it howled.
Let me out!!!!!Emily, you have buried me for way too long.
What!! What do you mean? I asked the wolf.
Look inside you, it said, find me.
I glanced down at my children, sobbing.
Whatever it is, I let you out. I whispered, my heart breaking from my loss.
I clutched my chest, at the sudden pain slowly engulfing me from the inside.
I screamed, my spine breaking from the force controlling it. My gums throbs painfully, sharp canines protruding from them. I fell to the ground, screaming in pain as my legs stretched out, breaking as they formed thick strong calves instead.
My back aches from the ground, my spine caving in, as it forms into a strong mass of bones and furs. My hands stretched out, sharp claws taking its once softness. Finally, I transformed fully. My red eyes marching that of the wolf in front of me.
I shook my white fur, standing erect as I gazed at the wolf. And with lightning speed I strike, sinking my sharp canine into its neck, my claws tearing into its stomach.
Wake up Emily the wolf said weakly, before I tore its head off.
I gasped as I woke up, my howls vibrating round the pack.
