Chapter 95 Chapter 95
"There's training today. I'm glad the damn heat is over!" I danced in celebration. "I mean, it wasn't bad with you around, but I had to force myself to sleep most of the time when you weren't around me.
He only chuckled and slid his feet into his slipper. "Get dressed so I can drive you there."
"Aren't you busy today?" I asked as Rylee walked into the bedroom.
"I've done all I need to do for the week, so I'm free for the weekend."
"Really? That's great. You promised to take me out to somewhere fun when you're not busy."" Rylee beamed at him.
"Yes, I know. I'll do that tomorrow. Right now, I have to go with Jane. I got an iPad for you, so you can enjoy yourself with a lot of games. I've also made sure to assign a few people that'll make your meal for today and-"
"school?"
"Yes, I already signed you up for the upcoming school session."
"Wow, I'm so excited to start school!" She celebrated and did a short happy dance that made both of us chuckle.
"When did you both make promises without including me?" I feigned a frown.
"Sorry about that." Rylee giggled.
"Are you ready now?"
"Of course, I am."
After bidding Rylee goodbye and her iPad came for her, we headed downstairs with our hands linked together. He opened the car door for me to get into the passenger's seat while he entered the driver's seat and started the car.
Just because I didn't want to miss even a minute of being held by him, I laced our fingers together again as he drove with the other hand and planted a kiss on my knuckles.
Roger had taken me on a few training sessions, and to my surprise, Keegan still didn't leave, only watching me train.
Roger and I had to leave for meditation in the lake with those small cylindrical containers around me.
I shut my eyes and could see myself in the field again and my wolf.
"Now call unto your wolf with her name." His voice swept into my ears by the wind.
"Vera?" I called out to her and started advancing towards the wolf.
The moment I got to my wolf and was just about to feel connected with her, I was snapped out of it and was back at the lake.
"Any changes from last time?" Roger asked.
"Yes, I saw my wolf and just when I wanted to feel bonded with it, I snapped out of it. Can't we resume the session?"
"We can, but that can place too much stress on you and your wolf. Since you've gotten closer to your wolf, that's really great progress, so now, you'll head over to the training ground for some defense and fighting training. Alpha has volunteered to be your personal trainer for today.
"That'd be great!" I grinned, glad that those hefty men weren't going to fight with me today.
Roger still maintained a poker face as he led me to the training ground.
It was a wide room with foamed floors and was painted in blue from the ceiling to the floor. There were a few benches and only a couple of equipment, unlike the main pack training ground.
Keegan walked in and waved dismissively to Roger. He bowed before heading out.
"So, what are you going to be training me about today, Mister?" I felt much more relaxed now that I was alone than with that scary- looking Roger.
"Just a few defense skills and see how well you're doing. Don't worry, I won't be gentle on you." He smirked. "And if you get anything right, you'll receive a reward."
"A reward, uh?" I wiggled my eyebrows at him.
"Yes. Now to begin with unarmed fights, this is a quick tip: always strike an attacker and most importantly, you'll need to protect your head. You can bring your chin down, your shoulders up, and raise your elbows above eye level with your open hands touching over your head. From this position, you can protect your head against attacks from all angles and still execute powerful strikes against your attacker. Do you understand any of that?" he asked and I shook my head. He chuckled and helped me out with maintaining the position. His touch was way more affectionate than normal and I loved it. The training was certainly going to go well.
We resumed training for the next dozens of minutes but it was way too fun because when I had the chance to, I'll stop to kiss him or just make sure his arm went around me, something I'd not be able to do with any other trainer.
"Isn't this session over yet?" I asked, panting. I was super exhausted. His training was way better but also very strength draining and effective.
"Well... it should be in a few minutes but Roger is very strict and would make sure that you complete the minutes, so till then we're stuck in this training."
I groaned and stepped closer to him, curling my arm around his neck. "And what if the attacker does this?" I smirked and placed a kiss on his cheek.
"We both know very well that the attacker wouldn't do such."
"But what if he does? What if he sees this?" I ran my hand along his bare arm and he held my hand, turning me around so his hands could wound around my waist.
"Once again, no." He kissed my neck and it made my mark feel much more heated as I shut my eyes.
"What if he holds me like this and I just kiss him instead because he's my mate?" I craned my neck to kiss him and he chuckled in the kiss before returning it.
"I just knew it!" Roger exclaimed and made me flinch from Keegan.
"If you're going to be so romantic, then what's the point of training here?" He frowned. "I'm sorry Alpha but I'll have to appoint my men to train her."
"No, he already trained me well enough."
"I don't trust that, so we're starting again." he pulled me back despite Keegan's protest.
"I told you to just wait a few more minutes, Jane." he yelled behind me and laughed while I cast a glare at him.
We finally decided to go out to fulfill Keegan's promise to Rylee Keegan had driven us out of town and we had just had lunch at the best Italian restaurant here which Rylee clearly loved. Then we decided to go on a walk while we both held Rylee's hands.
"Jane, we need to start planning their lives together." he said and glanced at me.
"That's true but how?"
"I don't know, just something to remember our bond with forever." he shrugged.
"You can both adopt me since the both of you love me." Rylee said randomly.
We both gazed at her, definitely not expecting that suggestion, then glanced at each other.
"What do you think about that? It sounds pretty nice to me."
"I don't know. I really love Rylee but how can a 22-year old woman be the mother of a 6-year-old?" I wondered.
"As long as we can cater for her needs and provide emotional support to her when needed, then it should be fine."
I nodded. "It makes sense."
"Great! So you'll both consider it?" she grinned.
"Yes, little princess."
"Thank you!" She hugged Keegan.
"What's that?" I asked, referring to the large crowd of people around a big glass with a large board over it.
They pulled away and glanced at the people.
"I have no idea. It looks like a promo kind of thing." Keegan half- shrugged.
I glanced at the board, "it says it's a special edition teddy with a special gift attached to it. It's one of the best toy designers ever and is made from the most quality materials, but it's free for whoever can get it first."
"Oh my gosh, it's such a cute teddy." Rylee chimed. "You think? Do you want it?" Keegan asked. "Definitely!" She glanced at the glass it was in and the amount of people that were trying to get it then her smile turned upside down."
I doubt if we can win it."
"No, I want to get it for you since you want it."
"You don't have to stress yourself over it. I don't want to raise my hopes for nothing." She sighed.
"There's no harm in trying." I insisted.
"Let's head over." We crossed over to the promo.
We found out that different Dad's have been trying to get it for a few days now but to no avail.
"I don't think we can have it." Rylee said.
"Stop being so negative. Due to my hearing sensitivity, I've traced a few things and heard how to unlock it." He said in a low voice.
"Rylee? How?!" She grinned with a ray of hope in her smile.
We had to sneak up to a session then he did whatever he did before the glass made a clinking sound and was unlocked.
Everywhere became dead silent as they all stared at Keegan pulling the teddy out and handing it over to Rylee.
"I want it!" someone yelled then it was accompanied by other violent yelling as the crowd started running towards us. "Jane, run!" He exclaimed and carried Rylee in his arm while he held me to start running.
We ran as fast as we could passing through different corners to reduce the number of people following us.
"Why are people this crazy? Isn't it just a teddy?" I said breathlessly as we continued running.
He quickly pulled me down to hide behind a concrete wall and chuckled while I was panting so much.
"Shh." Rylee shushed him and covered his touch till we heard the footsteps of a lot of people run past us.
When we confirmed it was clear, Rylee hid the teddy in her gown and we snuck back to Keegan's car then all burst into laughter simultaneously.
"That was so cool." Rylee chuckled as Keegan started the car. "I will make sure to cherish it for the rest of my life." she brought the teddy out, running her hands over it while I still wondered what the heck was special about the teddy. "Are we going to a playground now?" She asked.
"Yes, I'd -" he suddenly stopped and became silent.. "What's wrong?" "I'll assume he's being mind linked." I assumed. "That's correct. I was just linked that there's urgent work to attend to, so we have to head back home."
JANE -
I had been working all day and that clearly frustrated Jane because she was packing around me, clearly calling for my attention.
I pretended not to notice her because I loved it when she was mad and expressed how much she wanted my attention.
"Keegan!" She finally stopped in front of me with folded arms. "I'm really bored but you've only been focusing on work and not me." she frowned.
'I knew she was going to finally lash at us.' Drex chuckled. "There's so much to do that I didn't expect." I tried to explain to her.
"I'm nor interested in that. Right now, I'm craving your attention."
"Fine, I'll try to round up in an hour or two." I lied; it was definitely taking more than that.
She scoffed then headed to the bathroom with her phone and a small bag.
I knew she started a phone call but I didn't want to strain my ears to eavesdrop on her conversation, so I continued my work on my laptop.
When she returned, she was in a robe and walked to the door, swaying her hips more than normal. It was obvious she was up to something and that drew my attention. She locked the door then walked over to me, still swaying her hips.
The moment she got rid of the robe, she was in only lacy lingerie.
My entire body went wild just staring at her and I could feel the darkness that swept over my eyes.
"Are you still interested in working?" She asked in a very flirty tone.
"I guess I can take a break." I dropped the laptop on the bed and leaned back.
"That's pretty sweet of you." Where did she learn how to sound that raunchy? It set me on fire, with a strange desire.
She straddled me and held my shoulder, slowly unbuttoning my shirt while letting her hand run over my chest. Her hand on me made me feel hardened.
She got rid of my shirt and let her hand roam over me as she leaned closer, placing a kiss on my jaw then my neck. "I can't wait to finally have my wolf and mark you as well." The deepness in her voice made my heart beat faster.
She drew my lips into a kiss as she removed my belt from my pants.
As I cupped her ass, ready to get rid of the remaining fabric on her, she pulled away and climbed off me.
"What happened? Did I do anything wrong?" I was worried that I could've messed up.
She left for the wardrobe then changed into a new pair of underwear and wore a jeans and crop sweater right in my presence, throwing on a purse over her shoulder.
"Jane, what's wrong?"
"Nothing." She shrugged and placed a kiss on my cheek. "I just wanted payback for when you left me at dinner time when Vladimir was flirting with me and back at the beach house." A smirk played on her lips.
"It makes no sense. I was trying to respect your pace back then." I frowned, feeling so frustrated. "This isn't fair."
"It changes nothing. Now you understand how it feels. Don't mess with me like that anymore, okay? Bye. I have to hang out with the girls."
Then she left me just like that, leaving me to burn out in my frustration.
