her turf, her conditions
Theo’s P.O.V.

“That was hot.” Knight purred and I agreed.
This was my mate, my Luna. Calm, composed, and strong.
She didn’t disrespect the royal blood, but she clarified her stance in very clear words.
Rhea and Helena were of the same age, but the stark contrast between them was clear to everyone present in the room.
Helena was dumbstruck, and to be honest, it gave me immense satisfaction.
I knew that the royal couple and Prince Henry had spoiled their little princess, but what she did here ever since she stepped out of her car was nothing but a harsh slap on our faces.
Now I understand why Rhea didn’t want to involve herself with Helena’s training.
“You….. you… how dare you threaten me, the princess?” Helena screamed after snapping out of her shock.
“You are not a princess to me if you are here to be one of my trainees, Princess Helena.” Rhea roared aloud, shaking everyone present in the room with her roar.
“That’s her wolf. She may be an omega, but she is the most powerful one. The goddess blessed me with a powerful she-wolf, not a spoiled brat.” Knight purred again, jumping happily while enjoying Rhea’s power.
“Mention your status one more time, and I will refuse to be your trainer. My turf, my rules. If you can’t accept, find someone else who is ready to be your lapdog.” She added without lowering the intensity of her roar.
We were all now standing up, looking at Rhea in shock, but I was happy. I masked it under my shock, but Helena needed to know her place if she was really for training and not any other hidden agenda.
Helena was now seething in anger, but she couldn’t open her mouth again.
I guess she had no retort against Rhea’s demand.
Rhea moved towards Henry with a stern and cold expression on her face.
“I beg your pardon, Prince Henry, but I refuse to take Princess Helana as my trainee. I train people who are serious about their responsibilities as warriors and future leaders.” Rhea said to him in a cold voice, locking her gaze with Prince Henry.
“I am not pointing out your stance, Rhea, but you cross the line by raising your voice at her. She is still your princess.” Henry replied to her, seething in anger, trying to intimidate her, but she was Rhea, not any other she-wolf.
Suddenly Rhea raised her hand, and I followed the direction immediately. To my shock, she stopped my father from being involved in this farce.
“If this is about treating her as a princess during her stay here instead of treating her as a trainee, then I am sorry, Prince Henry. I refuse to train her. As I said earlier, I train people without giving heed to their ranks. I don’t need to tell you whom I have trained in the past two years. She is your sister, the princess, but not here.” She once again stated her stance clearly in very clear words.
“Here she is only Helena Shaw. If she refuses to be Helena Shaw only, then there are plenty of trainers out there who will happily take her, Princess Helena Shaw, as their trainee.”
Henry was now seething in anger, and so was Rhea.
“You are going against the royal orders, Rhea.” Henry threatened her this time, and she chuckled.
A mocking chuckle.
“If this is a threat, Prince Henry, then I agree to train Princess Helena Shaw, but without any sincerity or seriousness as a trainer. If you ask me about the results after three months, my answer will be that I give my best, but what she learned is up to her.”
“I want to applaud for her.” Knight purred again, but I pursed my lips into a thin line, worried that Henry would lash out on her to show her disrespect to him and to the royal verdict.
“Prince Henry.” Dad spoke this time, his voice calm but stern.
We all looked in his direction at the same time.
I had never seen my father as angry as he is right now.
Even my mother, who is known for her calmness, looked pissed.
“We welcome you in our pack because our pack and my family have always been loyal to the throne, but the way you and Princess Helena threatened and put your demands in front of Rhea, a respected member of our pack and also the best warrior, where did you put my dignity as her alpha?” he questioned and Henry’s eyes widened a little in shock.
“I accepted your father’s request, not his orders, Prince Henry. I am his subject, but I am the alpha of this pack, and I will not allow, not even you, to threaten my pack member in front of me.” Dad was firm and clear in his voice while stating his stance on the whole situation.
“Either Princess Helena will accept being a regular trainee or you are welcome to enjoy our hospitality for a few days. We welcomed you and Princess Helena here wholeheartedly and I assure you that we will treat you and your team with utmost care and respect.”
Prince Henry immediately looked at me as soon as my father finished his condition in clear words.
“What do you say on this, Theo?” Prince Henry asked me, and I took a deep breath with a calm expression on my face.
“I agree with my father, Prince Henry. If I can’t even protect my pack member’s dignity when she did nothing wrong, then I have no right to rule a pack.” I replied firmly, holding my head high.
“How could you side with her, Theo? She is disrespectful from the very beginning.” Helena screamed at me, her voice choked with emotions.
She sounded as if I had betrayed her.
“And how did she disrespect you, Princess Helena?” I asked her immediately before Rhea could open her mouth.
In my peripheral vision, I saw her about to speak, but I beat her to it this time.
I looked at the sibling couple questioningly when they didn’t reply to me.
“She doesn’t run a training academy, Princess Helena. She trains people from outside the pack who requested to be her trainees and agree with her training plans and routines. She never charged a penny or accepted anything from them. She carves them into good warriors before sending them back to their packs. I shouldn’t have told you because I know that you already know this. So, if she states her condition before taking you as her trainee, I don’t think that she did anything wrong.”
Rhea didn’t need me to defend her, but this sibling couple went too far by threatening her.
"I suggest you and Princess Helena be our guests for a few days, see how Rhea trains her trainees, and if Princess Helena can endure that hardship and can accept all Rhea's conditions, she can stay here and get trained by Rhea." I provided the best solution that I could think of to dissolve this situation.
