Chapter 58

Aryan pulled Reyna into his arms, giving her much-needed warmth. "We can't control fate, Reyna. We can only try and pray. Remember, our love will never disappear, even though our baby is not here."

Reyna nodded slowly, though her heart still felt heavy. She wanted to believe her husband's words, but the pain was too deep. Every time she looked at the baby items they had prepared, her tears could not be held back. She felt as if all the hopes and dreams they had built were shattered in an instant.

Days passed, and Reyna tried to recover from her depression. She began attending counseling sessions to help her heal. There, she met other women who had experienced similar losses. They shared stories, encouraged each other, and Reyna felt a little better. She realized that she was not alone in her pain.

One night, after a counseling session, Reyna came home to find Aryan waiting in the living room with a cup of hot tea. "I know today is hard," he said softly. "But I'm proud of you, Reyna. You're brave enough to face this pain."

Reyna smiled faintly, feeling her husband's love and support. "I just want to be able to forget all of this, Aryan. But every time I try, all the memories come back to haunt me."

"I know," Aryan replied. "But we have to give ourselves time. This process is not easy, and there are no shortcuts to healing a broken heart."

Reyna nodded, feeling the sincerity in Aryan's words. She knew that her husband was always there for her, and that gave her the strength to keep going. Even though the pain was still there, she began to learn to accept it.

One day, as Reyna was walking in the park, she saw a mother holding her baby. Her heart sank, but this time it wasn’t just the pain that came. She felt something deeper—a sense of hope. Maybe someday, they would have another chance to be parents.

When Reyna got home, she shared her feelings with Aryan. “I saw a mother with her baby today,” she said. “And instead of feeling pain, I felt hope. Maybe we can try again someday.”

Aryan smiled, his eyes sparkling. “That’s a good move, Reyna. We can plan our future together. But remember, we don’t have to rush. We’ll do it when we’re ready.”

Reyna felt relieved by Aryan’s words. She knew that this journey wouldn’t be easy, but with her husband’s support, she was confident that she could get through it. She began writing in her journal, pouring out all her feelings, both the painful and the hopeful. Every word he wrote seemed to be a small step towards healing.

Months passed, and Reyna began to feel joy in her life again. She and Aryan began planning for the future, talking about the children they wanted to have, and how they wanted to raise them. They also began doing little things that were fun, like going on vacations or trying new hobbies together.

One night, as they sat on the porch, Aryan took Reyna's hand and said, "I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will always love you. We will get through this together."

Reyna looked at her husband gratefully. "I know, Aryan. And I promise to do better at accepting this. We will find our way."

With Aryan's warm embrace, Reyna felt as if she could face anything. She knew that even though the loss was painful, love and hope would always be there in her heart. And that was where, in the embrace of fate, she found the strength to move on.

Reyna stared at the road passing by Aryan's car. Her heart was filled with a mixture of emotion and sadness. The trip to her father's house was not just a visit; This was a moment to share stories, to express pent-up feelings. Aryan, her husband, sat beside her, driving the car quietly. He knew how important this trip was to Reyna.

"Reyna, are you okay?" Aryan asked, turning his head for a moment to look at his wife's face. Reyna smiled thinly, even though her eyes seemed glassy.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just a little... nostalgic," she replied, her voice shaking. She reached for Aryan's hand, holding it tightly. Aryan nodded, understanding that this trip was not only about visiting Reyna's father, but also about recalling memories that might be painful.

After a few minutes of driving, they finally arrived at Reyna's father's house. The house was simple, surrounded by a small garden filled with brightly colored flowers. Reyna felt as if time had stopped for a moment when she saw the house. There were many beautiful and bitter memories stored there.

"Reyna, I'll wait in the car," Aryan said, giving support without having to interrupt the moment that was about to happen. Reyna nodded, thanking her husband for always understanding.

She walked towards the door, feeling her heartbeat speed up. When the door opened, her father, Mr. Marcel, was standing there with a warm smile. "Reyna! My daughter!" he exclaimed, hugging her tightly. Reyna felt as if all the weight on her shoulders had been lifted a little.

"Welcome home, Dad," Reyna replied, her voice almost lost in the warm embrace. After a few moments, they separated, and Reyna looked into her father's eyes. There was worry and affection radiating from those gazes.

"How are you? What about Aryan?" Mr. Marcel asked, inviting Reyna into the house.

"Okay, Dad. Aryan had to go out of town for a while, so I came alone," Reyna replied as she sat down on the familiar couch.

They began to chat, discussing light things, but Reyna knew that there was one story she had to tell. After a few moments, she gathered her courage.

"Dad, there's something I want to tell you," Reyna began, her voice soft but firm. "A while ago, Aryan and I... we lost our unborn child."

Mr. Marcel paused for a moment, his face turning serious. "Oh, Reyna... I'm so sorry to hear that," he said, his voice full of empathy. "When did that happen?"

Reyna took a deep breath, trying to hold back the tears that were beginning to form. "It was about two months ago. We were so happy when we found out I was pregnant. But then a few weeks later, everything changed. We lost the baby."

Tears began to stream down Reyna's cheeks. She felt relieved to be able to share this story with her father. Mr. Marcel reached for Reyna's hand, squeezing it gently.

"My child, such a loss is so painful. There are no words that can take away the pain, but remember that you are not alone. We are always here for you."
