Chapter 57
Time passed, and after a series of tests, the doctor finally came back with the results. “Reyna has appendicitis. We need to operate immediately to remove it,” the doctor said firmly.
Aryan felt the world stop for a moment. “Surgery? Is it dangerous?” he asked, his voice shaking.
“Every surgery has its risks, but it’s a common procedure and usually goes well. We’ll do our best for Reyna,” the doctor replied calmly.
Aryan nodded, though his heart was still pounding. He knew this was a necessary step for Reyna’s health. “Okay, do what needs to be done,” he said, trying to stay strong.
After a few moments, Reyna was wheeled into the operating room. Aryan waited outside, feeling every tick of time ticking away. He prayed that Reyna would be safe and recover soon. In his mind, he remembered all the wonderful memories they had shared together, and he was determined to make more of them after this was over.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, a nurse came out and announced that the surgery was a success. Aryan was reluctant, but he knew that Reyna had a long way to go in her recovery. He quickly went into the recovery room, where Reyna lay, looking tired, but smiling at him.
“I’m fine, Aryan,” she said softly. “Thank you for being there for me.”
“Always, honey. I’ll always be here for you,” Aryan replied, stroking Reyna’s hair gently. “Now, rest. I’ll take care of this.”
The next few days in the hospital were filled with hope and love. Aryan never left Reyna’s side, bringing her her favorite foods and reading her the books they both loved. Every smile from Reyna was the best medicine for him.
After a few days, Reyna was finally allowed to go home. Aryan was so grateful to see his wife back home, even though she still had to rest and recover. They both knew that this experience had strengthened their love, and they were ready to face any challenge together.
“Thank you for taking care of me, Aryan. I don’t know what I would do without you,” Reyna said as they sat on the couch, enjoying the simple moment together.
“I’m never going anywhere, Reyna. We’re a team, and I’ll always be here for you,” Aryan replied, holding Reyna’s hand tightly.
They both smiled, realizing that their love had passed the test. With renewed vigor, they were ready to move on together, facing each day with gratitude and ever-deepening love.
“How’s our baby, Aryan? Why can’t I feel my stomach moving anymore?” Reyna asked.
Aryan took a deep breath. He said with a heavy heart that Reyna’s baby had to be aborted. Because Aryan prioritized Reyna’s safety first. He explained that the child in Reyna’s womb could not be saved.
Reyna fell silent, her eyes wide as if she couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Aryan’s voice sounded faint, as if muffled by deep sadness. She felt the world around her spinning, and everything she had ever dreamed of being a mother seemed to collapse in an instant.
“Aryan… what do you mean? Why is this happening?” Reyna tried to hold back her tears, but she couldn’t. Drop by drop of tears rolled down her cheeks, wetting her pale face.
Aryan grabbed Reyna’s hand, holding it tightly. “Honey, I know this is very difficult. But the doctor has explained that there are serious complications. If we continue this pregnancy, it could be fatal for you. I can’t let that happen.”
Reyna felt her heart breaking. She always imagined the beautiful moments of holding their baby, listening to his little laugh, and seeing his cheerful smile. However, all of that was now just a memory that never came true.
“So, we won’t have children?” Reyna asked with a trembling voice. She felt as if someone was tearing her heart apart, tearing apart the hope she had built up all this time.
Aryan shook his head, trying to hold back the tears that were also threatening to form in his eyes. “We can try again in the future, Reyna. I promise. But for now, your safety is the most important thing.”
Reyna looked at Aryan, seeking comfort in her husband’s gaze. She knew Aryan loved her and wanted the best for her, but the pain was so deep. “But… I already love her, Aryan. I already imagined our future together.”
“I know, honey. I feel it too. But we have to be strong. We have to get through this together,” Aryan tried to calm Reyna down, even though his heart felt broken too.
Reyna lowered her head, feeling the weight of the reality she had to accept. She knew that this decision was for the best, but the pain was unavoidable. In her heart, she prayed that one day, they would get a second chance to feel the same happiness.
After a while, Reyna looked up and looked at Aryan with hope. “What should we do now?”
Aryan took a deep breath, trying to gather his strength. “We will undergo this procedure, and after that, we will rest. I will always be by your side, Reyna. We will get through this together.”
Reyna nodded, even though her heart still felt heavy. She knew that this journey would not be easy, but she also knew that she was not alone. With Aryan by her side, she felt a little stronger to face whatever was to come.
As they looked out the window, Reyna felt a cool breeze touch her face. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to calm her mind. In her heart, she promised not to give up. She would fight, not only for herself, but also for the future they could still build together.
“Reyna,” Aryan called her softly. “Are you ready?”
Reyna opened her eyes and looked at Aryan. “I am ready, as long as you are by my side.”
“Always,” Aryan replied, holding her hand tighter. Together, they stepped into an uncertain, but hopeful future.

Reyna sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly at the wall decorated with happy photos. There, there was a picture of her and Aryan, her husband, as they celebrated the pregnancy they had just learned about. Their wide smiles seemed to hint at the hopes and dreams that would soon come true. However, all of that now felt empty. Reyna’s heart was broken, as if a part of her was missing forever.
The miscarriage she experienced was not only a physical loss, but also the loss of the hopes and dreams that had been built. She felt as if there was a voice inside her that kept whispering, accusing her of being the cause of all this. "I should have taken better care of myself," she thought. "I shouldn't have been so tired. I shouldn't have done this and that." But Aryan was always there beside her, trying to convince Reyna that none of this was her fault.
"Honey," Aryan held Reyna's hand gently, "this is not your fault. Fate is sometimes difficult to understand. We must accept what happened."
Reyna looked at Aryan, her eyes filled with tears. "But I feel like I failed, Aryan. I should have been able to protect our baby."
