Chapter 326 Adrian Has Gone Crazy
Chapter 326 Adrian Has Gone Crazy
Pain shot through Stuart's head.
Seeing Serena grab the ashtray again, he reacted quickly, catching her hand. He raised his other hand to slap her face.
But looking at that beautiful face, he stopped.
Serena stared at him hard, her eyes full of disgust and revulsion—no longer showing the initial nervousness and fear.
Stuart lowered his hand and laughed nastily. "Just one kiss and you react like this. How will you handle it when we're in bed together?"
Serena's mouth twitched with revulsion.
Stuart ignored her disgusted expression, pulling her wrist close and kissing it lightly. "Fine. For the sake of how you used to look after me, I'll forgive you this time. But if you try to hit me again, I won't be so nice."
Serena said nothing.
Stuart thought she'd given up struggling. His grip loosened slightly.
Serena wrenched free and slapped him hard across the face.
"If I'd known you were this kind of person, I never should have saved you that day!"
Stuart's anger flared. He grabbed her throat, shoving her toward the table. "You really think I won't hurt you?
You still think you're that high-and-mighty Rothwell family princess?
Have you forgotten the Rothwell family fell from grace ages ago? You're not some noble princess anymore."
Serena struggled desperately, scratching several marks across Stuart's face.
Enraged, Stuart pinned her on the table and tried to kiss her.
Just then, the door lock was dismantled.
The door was kicked open from outside.
When Adrian entered, he saw Serena being choked, desperately resisting Stuart.
In an instant, a terrifying murderous aura erupted from him. He strode over and slammed his fist viciously into Stuart's face.
Caught off guard, Stuart crashed onto the coffee table. Only then did he react, cursing. "What the fuck? Who—"
He started to get up.
But Adrian was ruthless. He pressed Stuart's head down onto the table, his face turned sideways against a wine glass.
Adrian pushed down hard, actually crushing the glass.
Glass shards embedded themselves in Stuart's face.
Pain hit him.
He screamed. "It hurts! It hurts! Stop!"
"So you do know what pain feels like?"
Adrian's voice was ice-cold, as if wrapped in shards of glass.
Right now, his blood boiled with rage. He pressed down harder, driving the glass fragments deeper into Stuart's face.
Stuart went numb with pain, screaming.
Serena stood frozen, staring.
Jake stared in shock.
All the security personnel stood paralyzed.
No one had ever seen this terrifying side of Adrian.
Finally Jake snapped out of it first. He dismissed the security staff and hurried to Adrian. "Adrian, Serena's fine. You've made your point. Don't let this get out of hand."
"You should be saying that to him."
Adrian grabbed Stuart, flipped him over, and threw him to the floor. He planted his foot on Stuart's chest, looking down at him. "Stuart, I gave you a chance. Since you don't know how to appreciate it, since your parents never taught you how to be human, today I'll teach you myself!"
He grabbed a bottle from the table and forced it into Stuart's mouth, his entire being radiating terrifying violence.
The room's lighting was dim and unclear.
Adrian stood at the center, his whole body shrouded in darkness. His flawless, handsome face was cast in shadow. The only thing visible was his eyes—vicious, merciless, bottomless.
Stuart was just a thug. He'd never faced anything like this.
Fear seized him. He struggled with all his might.
But with his chest pinned down, he couldn't muster any strength. He was like a fish waiting to be slaughtered.
The burning liquor poured endlessly into his mouth. He couldn't spit it out, couldn't swallow it down. He wanted to cough but couldn't find the strength. The sensation was worse than death.
What drove him even more insane was the burning liquid running down his face into his wounds—that indescribable feeling, both painful and itchy. He was losing his mind.
Yet Adrian showed no sign of stopping.
One bottle finished, he grabbed another and kept pouring.
Stuart couldn't live, couldn't die. In his desperate mind, only one thought remained: Adrian had gone insane.
Everyone present was stunned, able only to watch.
The entire room fell silent except for Stuart's agonized moans.
Jake stood to the side, wanting to intervene but unable to find the words.
Since childhood, he'd known—Serena was the treasure Adrian held in his palm, his reverse scale. Anyone who bullied Serena was finished.
Finally, Serena stepped forward and gently grasped Adrian's arm. "Adrian, enough. Don't kill him."
Adrian's movements paused. His gaze fell on her hand.
In that instant, the world seemed to quiet.
The murderous aura between his brows gradually dissipated.
Serena took the bottle from his hand, pulled two tissues from the table, and wiped the liquid from his hands.
Adrian let her clean him, looking down at her. After a long moment, he raised one hand and brushed the hair from her cheek, revealing the marks on her neck.
His thumb gently touched her injury. For this small wound, he wished he could make Stuart pay with his life.
Jake quickly added his persuasion. "Adrian, Serena's right. Stuart's a regular here, after all. For Serena's sake, since she's okay, give me some face. I'll handle the rest. Take Serena home first. She's been terrified. Take her back."
Adrian's expression remained dark, but he said nothing more. He removed his suit jacket and draped it over Serena's shoulders, then put his arm around her and left.
Just as they reached the Snowflake Club entrance—
Serena spotted the Rothwell family car.
Blake was opening the door for Sarah.
Sarah stepped out, still in her business suit—clearly having rushed straight from the office.
Serena instinctively started toward her.
But after just a few steps, the man beside her pulled her back.
Seeing this, Sarah looked at Adrian. "You're hurting her."
Adrian snorted coldly. "A little pain teaches a lesson. Besides, compared to what just happened in that room, this is nothing."
Though he said this, his grip loosened considerably.
Sarah raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Adrian looked at her coldly, his eyes full of mockery. "Ms. Rothwell, what impressive tactics. If I hadn't been at Snowflake Club today, would you have just stood by and watched Serena get assaulted by Stuart? Or was this your plan all along—to latch onto the Mole family's coattails?"
