Chapter 325: I Truly Want to Marry You

Chapter 325: I Truly Want to Marry You

Serena lowered her voice to Jessica. "The person I'm meeting is here. Jessy, I have to go."

Jessica responded absently.

Serena was about to hang up when she heard Jessica curse. "Holy shit! Serena, when did you get in touch with Stuart? He's the one who booked this room."

"What?"

Serena was equally shocked.

But it was too late now.

Stuart stood in the doorway wearing a gaudy floral shirt and jeans—the perfect nouveau riche getup.

He smiled lecherously, greeting Serena. "Hey, Serena! Long time no see!"

Serena shoved her phone in her pocket, grabbed her bag with one hand and a large glass ashtray with the other, keeping her eyes locked warily on Stuart as she moved toward the door.

Seeing this, Stuart immediately locked the door from inside, looking at her excitedly. "Serena, don't be so nervous. I'm not a bad guy. Don't be scared."

Serena stared at him hard. "How did you get here?"

Stuart pulled out a chair and sat down, playing with a lighter as he smiled. "I'm here for our blind date, of course."

"Then I'm sorry to disappoint you. I'm not interested."

Stuart didn't seem angry. He ran his tongue over his back teeth, looking at Serena with a lecherous expression. "But I'm interested in you.

Serena, you know I've always liked you. All these years, every girlfriend I've dated—they all looked like you.

If you'll be with me, I'll cut ties with all of them. I guarantee I'll worship you. How about it?"

Serena was disgusted by his words and replied bluntly, "Then I'm sorry, but we're complete opposites. I don't like you."

Jessica's voice came through the phone. "Serena, don't be afraid. I've already notified security. They'll be there any second."

Stuart heard this and laughed nastily. "Don't waste your energy. I've locked the door. They can't get in."

Jessica cursed furiously on the phone.

Serena secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Thank god for Jessy. Otherwise, she could die in here and no one would know.

Soon, footsteps sounded outside.

Then came security knocking. "Ms. Rothwell! Ms. Rothwell! Are you in there? Are you alright?"

Serena was about to answer when Stuart spoke first. "She's fine. She's just peachy. Tell Jessica not to worry. I'm not going to eat her. What's there to be afraid of?"

Hearing this, security tried reasoning with him. "Mr. Mole, please open the door. Ms. Rivers said if you don't open it, we'll call the police. I'm sure you don't want this to escalate?"

"Go ahead and call them!"

Stuart laughed arrogantly, his eyes roving over Serena's body. "Serena, once tonight is over, you'll be mine. Your name will be tied to mine forever. Are you sure you still want them to call the police?

Don't forget, most of New Valley's elite families have memberships at Snowflake Club. Once this news gets out, how will you shake me off? Who else would dare go on a blind date with you?"

Serena took a quiet breath.

She wasn't as panicked as before.

She asked Stuart, "You want to marry me that badly?"

"Yes! I dream about it!"

Serena nodded, pulled out a chair and sat down. "Since you're here instead of Jacob today, I assume you can offer me more than the Flaming family?"

Stuart nodded. "Absolutely. I can give you more—even make sure all of the Rothwell family's projects in New Valley go smoothly."

Seeing Serena's silence, Stuart continued. "I know Mr. Locke treats you well, but think about it—do you really deserve him?

To Mr. Locke, you're just a pretty stray cat on the street. He glanced at you, tossed you some scraps.

I'm different. I can marry you, be your support. And I guarantee, as long as you're with me, no one in New Valley will dare bully you."

Serena picked up her glass, looking at the clear liquid inside. She smiled slowly. "Sounds pretty good."

Stuart grinned happily and stood, walking toward Serena. He stopped in front of her.

He gripped the back of her chair, leaning down to look at her. "Right? You're smart. You know being with me is better than being with Jacob."

Serena's hand tightened fiercely around her glass.

Stuart noticed her tension and inhaled deeply near her ear. "Serena, you smell so good. Remember those messages I used to send you? I think about you every single night..."

Serena was thoroughly disgusted, goosebumps covering her entire body.

Back in high school, Stuart had constantly sent her explicit messages and pornographic photos.

Those things still made her sick to think about.

She glanced discreetly toward the door. Security was still trying to break in.

The Backstage Room had walls on three sides, with only one entrance.

They could only come through the door.

She had to keep Stuart calm until they got in.

She clenched her fists, forcing her voice to stay steady. "Stuart, your offer is very good. I'm definitely tempted. But marriage is a big decision—it's not just up to us, right?

The Flaming family said they'd give me around twenty million. For you to offer more than that in bride price, don't you need to discuss it with your family?

How about this—I'll wait. Contact your parents right now. I need confirmation that everything you're promising will actually reach my hands."

"Look at you, still not trusting me."

Stuart reached out to lift a strand of her hair, bringing it to his nose and inhaling with a look of pleasure. "Since I dare promise you, naturally I can guarantee you'll get everything."

He pulled out his phone, opened his chat with his mother, and held it in front of her. "See for yourself. I already discussed it with my mom. Serena, I genuinely want to marry you."

Serena frowned deeply.

Stuart took advantage of the moment to quickly kiss her cheek.

The wet sensation on her face made Serena feel nothing but revulsion. The hand gripping the water glass shot up, slamming without hesitation toward Stuart's head...
