I Got You, Always (Part I)

I Got You, Always (Part I)
A Few Days Later

"Sabi, would you stop fidgeting.” Alexus said, placing her hand onto Sabine’s thigh to keep her leg from shaking.

Exhaling, Sabine shook her head, "S-sorry, I didn’t even know I was doing it.” She stared at the scene watching Kai perform as Beemo swayed in sync with the music. "They always look so in tune with one another.” She said unable to hide her smile. "Blaise, you think-”

He scoffed, "Please, we’re so in sync, we finish each other's-”

"Sandwiches.” She said, causing his little book body to vibrate in laughter. Feeling a little calmer, Sabine tensed up again realizing the concert was over. She turned to the sisters, "Do you think he’s thinking about me?”

Smirking, Morgan playfully rolled her eyes, "As smitten as he is, I’m sure of it.” She saw Sabine's face flush, and she tilted her head, "Is that what’s REALLY bothering you, you’re worried about other women?”

"It’s stupid isn’t it?” Sabine asked, biting the side of her lip.

"No, it’s natural. I still have those feelings sometimes, twice over.”

Sabine’s eyes widened, "Really?”

"Mhm, but then I remind myself of something. Not one woman who isn’t in my circle OWES me any type of loyalty. It's a hard pill to swallow, but it's true. She doesn’t know me, I don't know her, we have no connection to one another. My husbands HOWEVER, do owe me loyalty as well as respect. As such it’s their responsibility to protect the fidelity of our relationship when I am around and when I’m not, and it’s up to me to trust that they are unless I learn otherwise.” She folded her arms to her chest, “Do you understand what I’m saying?”

Sabine nodded, "It’s up to Kai to be faithful to me in all situations and I have to give him my trust that he is unless I learn otherwise.”

Rachel leaned back in the chair, and snapped her finger, "Sabi you are a baddie. My brother knows what he has, he’s stupid-” She chuckled, “But not that stupid.”

Alexus let out a giggle, "Yeah, I don’t think you need to worry.” She said as she pointed to the tv. They all watched as Kai patted a female fan on her back briefly before distancing himself. “That’s what we call a good ole church hug. No lower parts of the body connecting.” He made his way quickly through the flashing of cameras and the crowd. Shaking the hands of fans, he paused to answer some questions.

"YOU ANNIHILATED THE STAGE!” One of the reporters said excitedly. “I think I can speak for everyone when I say this was one hell of a return. The pain in your voice is back with a vengeance, but it’s more than that. The raw emotion, the talent, tell us, what’s changed?”

Kai removed his glasses, "I finally see myself for who I was. A shallow asshole who made it his mission to make sure that no one got close. Now I have family and-” Before he could finish his statement, a woman lunged her body at him, and tried her best to kiss him.

“OHHH MYYY GOODD!!” She screamed at the fact that she’d managed to almost brush her lips against his.

Quickly placing his glasses to his eyes, Kai felt them shift in color. Knowing that Sabine was at home watching, he felt his rage boil as he thought about the previous miscommunication with Tenne that almost separated them for good. Swatting her, he removed her arms, and glared, "GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME, HUSSY!!” He shouted, unable to stop himself. "GIVE SOMEBODY OTHER THAN ME, ALL OF THAT!” He found himself scolding her, "That's crazy that you're tryna cause drama between me and my fiance!” Chaos tore around the room at his accidental revelation.

"KAI, YOU’RE ENGAGED?!”

“WHO'S THE LUCKY WOMAN?”

"TELL US! YOUR FANS DESERVE TO KNOW!”

Twisting his lips, Kai shook his head, "It wasn’t supposed to slip like that, but yes I proposed to a very beautiful woman who I won’t reveal unless she wants to step into the spotlight. Also, who I know is probably pissed at me for telling the world we’re engaged.” He looked into the camera apologetically, "Don’t be mad at me Doe, she just caught me off guard-”

"OUCH!!!” The woman screamed, cutting him off, and causing everyone’s eyes to shoot at her. Slapping herself repeatedly in the face, her eyes widened, "I CAN’T STOP HITTING MYSELF!” She yelled, terrified.

Alexus placed her hand on a purpled-eyed Sabine, "Sabi...really? The stop hitting yourself game?” She asked, stifling her laugh as she continued to watch the woman continue to hit herself on national tv.

Sabine grumbled under her breath, "Sorry” causing the sisters to laugh. On the tv, she could see Kai cover his mouth to keep from doing the same.

"I suggest you keep your lips to yourself in the furture sweetheart.” He said mockingly. "You never know who's watching." Turning his attention back to the cameras, he waved them off, "If there’s nothing else, I need to get back to my hotel. I’m exhausted as hell.”

"KAI! That performance you gave today was truly out of this world. You say it was because of introspection, but I have to wonder if it’s more. Your drug abuse has never been a secret, and with recent events, it’s hard not to wonder if that performance had a little help. What do you say to the critics who say that you want to go out like one of the greats? Full of coke and an empty bank account. ” A reporter ask, his face smug at the clear shock on Kais’.

Kai felt his heart drop, and at the same time, his anger grow. Closing his eyes, he shook his head, "I’m not even gonna dignify that with a response, or give myself the satisfaction of shattering your face with my fist.”

"A-are you threatening me?”

Kai gave a sinister smile, "Not at all. A threat would imply that there’s a fifty, fifty chance that I’ll do it.” He took a step forward, and the cameras around him began to malfunction. Towering over the man, he whispered so only he could hear, "Tread lightly.“ Pulling off his glasses, he saw the fear line the man face at his multicolored eyes that sparked violently. Saying nothing else, Kai replaced his glasses and exited the buzz of the backstage of the concert.
