Chapter 68: A New Way of Schoolin' (Part II)

"THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE OPTIONS ALPHA! I'm seconds from tearing my hair out at that damn school!” A member of Moon Stone shouted at Sterling.

He shook his head, "Well I mean it’s not like you doing that is going to really change much. You only have about three good piec-”

Morgan punched his side and let out a small growl, "Not the time.” She cautioned.

He shook his head, "I know Little Red, I’m just trying to lighten the mood to keep my anger leveled.” His eyes tinged, "I thought sending Harper to Wolf Academy was a good choice, but it’s taking everything in me not to rip them apart there.”

"Transylvania Scholars is no better!” A vampire piped up, "You know they want to hold my daughter back because she hasn’t mastered the art of coloring in the lines? She’s seven! Hell, I’m still having a hard time coloring in the lines and I’m an adult! The expectations there are ridiculous. Primus, something needs to be done.”

Demetri sighed, "I am in agreeance, we all are but running multiple schools is an area that none of us have experience in, we’re more than willing to work to find the staffing and anything else needed, but it will take some time.” Loud grumbles erupted from the packs and the clan.

"HOW LONG? OUR CHILDREN DESERVE AN EDUCATION!”

Willetta stood, "I’m sure that you all can understand our frustration. I have seventeen children and-”

"DAMN!!!” Sterling shouted, unable to hold it in. He stared around, "So we just not gonna address that?!”

Willetta cut her eyes, "I have you know that my five husbands-”

Demetri raised his hand, "Pardon the intrusion, but did you say five? Last I was made aware, you had four.”

She shrugged, "Yeah, well at George and Diane’s wedding, I met the most hilarious man, and he introduced me to his brother, and we just got to talking and clicked! He even got along well with my other husbands.” Looking around briefly, she spotted him, "Larry honey, stand up and say hello to the Primus.”

Larry stood, "Hey, hey, heard great things about you.” Before he could get out another word, they heard a loud shrill.

"LARRY?!” Jerry said, standing up. Looking at him wildly, he shouted, "YOU MARRIED THUNDERCAT WILLETTA?!”

Tracey stood glaring at him, "The fuck did you just say?”

Waving his hand feverishly, Jerry looked around for help, "NO! NO! I DON’T CALL HER THAT! People call her that because of her-” He coughed, deciding it best to stop the conversation. He turned his attention back to his brother, "Why the hell wouldn’t you tell me that you got married?!”

Larry waved him off, "Because Jerry-”Jerry heard a whisper from the crowd that immediately made his and Demetri’s hair stand on edge,

"Jerry? I thought his name was Eugene.”

Balling his fist to his sides, Eugene, who passed out flyers reminding people his name was Jerry, tried his hardest to keep his eyes from turning red.

Demetri sank into his seat, and used Alexus for covering, "Bloody hell.” He grumbled, "Little One, is he looking at me?”

"Yep” She replied, stifling her laugh when she heard him curse again.

Eugene, who put it in the monthly clan meeting announcements that his name was Jerry, gave his Primus a death stare that even scared the shadow that lurked in the darkness. "I thought you fixed this Demetri.” He said through clenched teeth, "And don’t you DARE say you did, the evidence is right here!”

Demetri jumped to his feet, "I SWEAR I DID EUG-JERRY!” His eyes widened in panic, "Wait! Don’t be mad, I didn’t say it, nor did I tell anyone your middle name is Eugene-OH BLOODY HELL!” Demetri screamed, realizing he just did.

Eugene, who once avoided having his face removed for the horror of Jerry being his name, retched his head back in utter disgust at the man who was the cause of it all. And because they’d grown to be extremely close friends, he knew just what to say to get under Demetri’s skin. He shook his head, "DISHONOR! DISHONOR ON YOU! DISHONOR-” He cut his eyes into small slits, "Dishonor on your sky blue cape that doesn’t match the ocean blue of your eyes.”

Demetri let out a loud hiss and flew over to Eug-Jerry, "MUTINY!!!” He seethed, "YOU TAKE THAT BACK THIS INSTANCE!”

"I WILL NOT!” Jerry said, squaring off with him, "Ask anyone here, they.don’t.match.”

Demetri looked around to see everyone avoiding his eyes, "Little One, is it true?”

She shrank and folded her lips, "I tried to talk you out of buying it.”

Eugene, who spent two years convincing the IRS that he wasn’t falsifying records, because his name was indeed Jerry though they wouldn’t believe him, stood vindicated at the anguish on Demetri’s face. Turning back to his brother, he shook his head, "I really think you should have at least talked to me about this.”

"He talked to us,” Harry said as he and Gary stood. "Plus you get all antsy about going with the wind.”

"I’M THE OLDEST BROTHER THAT’S MY JOB!”

"Well, so what! Mom and dad also agreed it was a good decision.” Larry said snidely.

"YOU TALKED TO MOM AND DAD?”

An authoritative voice called from behind him, and he immediately recognized it as his fathers,

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU YELLING LIKE THAT’S A PROBLEM?!”

Eugene who now found himself in an argument with his close friend and his younger brothers, Harry, Larry, and Gary, knew that he should be happy that his parents, Cheree and Terry were there and could prove that his name was really Jerry, but instead he found himself upset. He knew his parents could be inappropriate and his eyes shot to Tracey the moment his father accidentally rammed his wheelchair into one of Moon Stone member's chairs.

"GODDAMMIT!” Terry yelled, "WHY THE FUCK ISN’T ANYTHING HERE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?!”

Rolling her eyes, Cheree called out to her husband, in clear irritation as he hit the person's chair again, "PUT IT IN REVERSE TERRY!”

"I KNOW HOW TO WORK MY WHEELCHAIR!”

"OBVIOUSLY NOT, YOU SCARING THAT POOR WOMAN!”

Terry glared at his wife, "Mind your damn B-I-BUSINESS!”

Matching his glare, Charee fumed, "Your business is my business! You wouldn’t be able to function without me!”

"Negative, I think I done lost at least ten years on my lifespan because I’ve been functioning with you!”

Sterling looked, his face lined with happiness, " This is the best show I've ever watched. Tell me, how many of yall is it?”

Gary pondered, "This is it, minus a cousin. Her name’s Jeralalin, but we haven’t seen her in a while.”

Beemo and Blaise looked at one another, before shrinking knowing that it was best to not admit that Jeralalin’s body was as unseasoned as her turkey.

As Terry and Cheree continued to argue, Larry, Harry, Gary, and their eldest brother who at this point they didn’t know what his name was, all felt embarrassment knowing what was to come. Terry, finally figuring out his wheelchair, schmoozed at his wife, " Told you I'd get it. Now stop all that and come over here and get you some of this meal on wheels.”

"Please” She swatted at him playfully, "You wouldn’t know what to do with it if I came over there.”

"I knew what to do with it last night when I-”

"NO!” Sterling roared loudly, silencing everyone. Grabbing Morgan, he sat and dropped a pen in front of him, "Little Red, pick it up, please. I’m begging you.”

"Wha-”

"If you love me, you’ll pick it up.”

Morgan bent over and picked up the pen and Sterling gave a sigh of relief, "All. that. ass” He murmured, making Morgan’s face flush. The red of her cheeks increased when she looked to see Jordan staring in approval at her cleavage.

"CAN WE JUST FOCUS HERE!” Elijah shouted, causing the chaos to die down.

Sterling twisted his lips, "It’s a wonder that we shut shit down the way we do because we always somehow go on a tangent.”

Jordan cleared his throat, "Yes, now about schooling does anyone have any ideas?”

"DANCING, DANCING, DANCINGGGG, DANCING MACHINEEEEE!”

Little voices pulled through the crowd, as the kids from the playground, voice tore through the sky.

"What’s that?” Rachel asked, and all those in the meeting quickly left their seats. Moving fast, they found Sabine surrounded by kids. The moment Mavier, Harper E, and Elijah Jr saw her they ran to her.

She laughed, "I was missing you three.” She turned to the other children, "Okay now, who wants to show them how to feed the robot?”

"ME!!” One child responds and she shook her head,

"Great!” Producing various items in front of her, she pointed her finger to the air, "Okay Issac, the dancing robot needs something that starts with an M to keep dancing.”

Issac walked cautiously through the items, and he darted to a magazine that lay hidden. Racing back to the robot, he laughed when it bent down and ate the item. The robot perked up, and the children again began to sing much to the amusement of their parents.

"Sabi!” Rachel yelled, getting her attention. "What’s going on?”

Sabine looked down to the ground, "Oh, I was coming to the meeting to see you guys but I ran into Miranda and she just needed a little break, so I helped her there, and then I was playing with Nathan and next thing you know-” She waved her hands around, "We ended up here.”Everyone stared at her quietly, and she rubbed the back of her neck, "Did I do something wrong?”

"No…”Jordan said slowly. He watched another child approach her,

"Mrs.Bine, can we finish the story?”

Giving everyone an apologetic look, she returned to the group of kids, "Okay! Then we’ve brought the dancing robot to life, BUT he is to take a dancing robot wife. Someone of beauty, someone of grace-” She scrunched her nose, “Someone who can keep up with his pace. And so the lonely dancing robot sadly asked for our help.” She pointed to the robot, who gave a frown,

"Please, help me. I want a wife that I can call so that we can-”

Sabine looked around, "Someone tells me something that rhymes with call.”

The kids screamed excitedly,

“BALL!”

“MALL!”

“FALL!”

Having watched the entire interaction, the members of the packs, the clan, and the coven cheered.

Sabine stood, "What’s going on? Why are you clapping?”

"BECAUSE YOU’RE AMAZING SABI!” Morgan shouted as she pulled her in her arms, "I’ve never seen anything like that!”

Sabine bit the side of her lip, "I-I was just trying to be helpful.”

Miranda smiled at her, "You were more than helpful. You were kind, thoughtful and the kids clearly adore you.”

Knowing that they were all thinking the same thing, Jordan nodded his head, "Sabine as you may or may not know, the two most prestigious supernatural academies have drawn complaints from members- us included. I think I speak for everyone that there needs to be a change.”

She folded her arms to her chest, "Yeah, I mean Kai mentioned the BS they pulled, and I agree and you know I will help any way that I can. What do you need me to do?”

Sterling laughed, "Bine Bine, you’re so adorbs. What my timeshare selling ass brother is saying is, we want you to be at the forefront of the project of building and implementing these new schools.”

Her eyes widened and she looked around at the kids who played happily together. It was then Sabine finally realized her jam. The thing that was meant to be her career. She shook her head, "No, not multiple schools. One school that all the kids can attend. If there is anything that I’ve learned here is that we’re a family. It would be an honor to run a school that provides that for all your children. I’m not sure how good I’ll be at it, but I’ll try because-” She smiled, "You all tried with me.”

Everyone looked around and finally, Morgan spoke, "I can’t believe that none of us thought of that. I fucking love the idea.” Nods flew around as they all began to cheer again for the Supreme who with those around her support, finally found her own jam.

Later that night

Alexus burst into Sabine’s apartment with Morgan and Rachel in tow, "You sent out the bat signal?!”

Sabine sighed, "Yeah, but I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you all.”

Rachel waved her off, "Your problems are our problems, now please tell us about said problems.”

Inhaling deep Sabine stood and walked to the bathroom, "It probably would be easier if I show you.” They quietly followed behind. Mind on overdrive, Sabine prepared herself to tell the truth about what was really bothering her. The reason that she kept postponing her wedding dress fitting with Annie, and the reason that may explain why she’d been so tired lately. The reason that maybe was why she'd been insatiable sexually, and overly emotional. The reason why she was terrified to be around Kai too long out of fear she would let her worry slip. And as she saw the three sisters eyes widened at the white and pink stick that laid on the sink, she swallowed her spit.

"I-I can’t read it, please, will one of you?” She asked.

Alexus nodded and picked up the pregnancy test. Before reading it she reassured her, "No matter what, you know we got you okay?”

Sabine nodded, and leaned against the wall in anticipation, “I know you do and I love the support," Breathing deeply, she closed her eyes, Okay, I’m ready. What does it say?”
