Welcome to the World

Welcome to the World
Months Later

It takes time to adjust to a new way of life, and five wolves and two vampires knew that more than most. With both Dark Moon and Moon Stone thriving, Sterling and Jordan found themselves more relaxed. Still the strong Alpha’s that would give their lives for their packs, they also worked harder and harder to be great fathers and husbands. They would never stop their quarreling, that was just engrained in them, but they also made a vow to never allow it to divide them again.

Jordan’s security company continued to thrive, and Bethany eventually stepped in as his EA. Having grown to admire her Luna so much, she asked Morgan to train her for the role. With the new help and the support, Jordan continued to with his life long dream to ensure that those less fortunate than he was, was granted the same sense of safety as anyone else.

And that vow included his pack. After what happened with Sam, he and Sterling both made an amendment to their rule books that ensured that any pack member who is a victim of violence, knows they don’t have to suffer in silence. He adored his Harper E, who easily had him wrapped around her finger. He’d often find her drawings hidden in his briefcase when he was leaving for work trips. Morgan would always scribble a note attached.

“This is a contract to Harper E that you shall provide her a drawing upon your return as proof that you have made it back to her safely.”

And so the ever professional wolf, now kept a box of crayons in his briefcase. He would make sure to draw a picture for his daughter to keep his end of their contract. It became their thing so much so, that she waited patiently for his return and stick her little arms out for her picture and hug from dad.

He often found himself still staring at Morgan. Trying his best to figure out why it took him so long to see what was right in front of him. Jordan may have once been distant to others, but now he grasped why he was also so unhappy at one time. Because having a home with his brother, their wife, and his daughter made the past nothing but a memory.

Sterling Odie Wolf would never be anything else but the kind, silly, and the somewhat manic wolf that everyone loved. His toy business growing, his connection with Jordan strengthening every day. He found himself often bothering his brother, even though he knew he would get in trouble in return.

“Why do you always harass me?” Jordan asked one day, and Sterling gave him a serious look.

“It’s my way of making sure that you’re still here.” Jordan gave him a noogie.

Sterling even managed to convince Jordan to make a once a month standing appointment where just the two of them hang out. They would spend their time doing whatever under the sun, as long as it was together. Sterling made Harper E laugh as no one else could. Her huge smile when she saw him, melted him every time. She loved her little dresses, but she also loved to tumble around with her dad. Even accidentally learning to shift, after laughing so hard at him one day. With Jordan it was pictures, with Sterling it was knock, knock jokes.

“Knock Knock”

“Me, Me?”

“ODIE AND HARPER E!”

She would always laugh the moment those words left his lips. Still crazy as ever about Morgan, he would sometimes whisper to his brother.

“Little Red just makes me-“ He’d pat his chest and Jordan would nod.

“Mhm, me too.”

To many, he was outrageous and always over the top, but for Sterling he was a wolf who was once on the verge of becoming rouge, who was now an Alpha and forever grateful for his family and new life.

Morgan loved being a mom, wife, and Luna, but she made sure to make time to be herself. She worked hard with Rachel to continue growing the restaurant and eventually opened up another one. She was successful, not because of money, but because she’d learned how to rule. A Quiet Storm that came and turned everything on its head.

Two husbands who were very different from one another, yet that she loved with every capacity of her being. Her Mad Jester and her Alpha who just the sight of them, made her eyes gleam with happiness. She felt loved and protected, and she worked hard to make sure they felt the same. Never once taking for granted how truly lucky she was.

Harper E would never let her fathers know, but Morgan was her favorite person. The moment she woke up, she searched for her mother and quickly climbed into her arms. Morgan adored the fact that her little girl had so much love inside of her little body. Her little hugs and kisses made Morgan feel on top of the world.

Whether it was shopping for home, or playing dress up. Morgan made it her mission to make sure Harper E knew how much she loved her. Because while she may not have had the love of her biological mother, she was blessed with an amazing mother and father who came and got her from the house she was accidentally delivered to. And with the love they instilled in her and one another, she knew firsthand how to instill it in her daughter and husbands.

Rachel and Elijah made being Beta’s look like it was an easy job. Both were loyal, strong and pushed each other to be better. Elijah worked hard every day to support Jordan at the security firm and as Beta, so when Jordan asked if they could be equal business partners he’d happily accepted. The new position allowed his own growth into his own projects. And Elijah brought different ideas and ventures that proved both profitable and morally sound.

His son Elijah Jr was absolutely crazy about his father. Dressing up in his shoes and pretending to be just like him. It made Elijah’s heart burst at the seems knowing he was a role model to his son because his father Terrence had become such a role model to him.

Even at an early age, Elijah taught E.J the importance of never looking down on anyone. He made sure to try his best to understand his son's future plight as a child who would one day have to learn the harsh realities of being judged for the color of his skin. But this time around he knew he wouldn’t make the same mistakes. He would sit in the conversations and feel them for the sake of his son even if they brought him discomfort because for him trying to understand was more important.

Elijah continued to grow to understand why his wolf imprinted on Rachel the moment it laid eyes on her. She had a type of strength he’d never seen in anyone else. She listened and absorbed and made herself teachable, while at the same time instilling knowledge into him, the packs, and their son. He loved her with every fiber of his being and as the time passed with her by his side the hole his mother left became smaller and smaller.

Rachel was as she has always been, the strongest of the Pierce sisters. She was protective, loyal, and she treated those around her with kindness and fairness. She marched to the beat of her own drum and helped others around her find their own rhythm. She and Morgan’s restaurants were beyond successful and she felt pride in everything she accomplished.

The smile of her son made her eager to wake up in the morning. EJ loved making his mother proud even with the smallest thing.

“Mama…ROCK!”

He’d show her proudly at this discovery, and she would cheer her little explorer on, laughing at the way it made him poke out his chest. Between him and his father, Rachel knew now why others never worked out. It was something about being in Elijah’s arms, that showed her over and over again. Her Wolfie, who she’d fought with the moment that they met, had become her best friend who she snuggled next to every night. She would forever be thankful for the day her sister called asking for her help.

The two with the most intense stories of them all were the ones who grew the most. A Primus who had no idea how he came to be, and his Beloved who had no idea how to stand on her own. The clan celebrated Demetri and all the hard work he’d gone through to become better for them. They loved that no matter how busy he was, he would always make time to support them in any way he could.

A man who once had no friends became someone everyone wanted to know. He was best friends with a wolf as crazy as he, and befriended a small vampire who said his cape matched his eyes. He somehow even managed to make a friend he enjoyed but only in small doses.

Demetri stared at Mavier’s painting often and tended to the flower named after him. He loved his father and missed him like crazy, but those and his list made him feel like he wasn’t so far away. So the day he found out he was having a son, Demetri realized once again Terrence's words were true. He may not have come from Mavier, but his father knew when he needed him. And for that reason, Demetri was finally able to write on his list.

I am an amazing son

Demetri would often stay awake and stroke Alexus’s hair. The sight of seeing his Little One carrying his child left him in awe. He’d place his hand on her belly and she would pull him closer in her sleep, and his mind would travel to the days before her. Before he knew how perfect someone could feel in his arms.

His mad scientist was smart, she was thoughtful and she had a fire inside that excited him. He spent his time making her laugh and scooping her up into his arms. He loved reading their list to one another and announcing when they made another addition. Attending therapy separately and as a couple, the Primus would never once again think about the dark past he left behind.

Alexus learned the importance of standing on her own, and that she could do that and still love her sisters. She no longer wished to be a werewolf, she knew she was where she belonged. She implemented so many things for the Clan that were for everyone bringing them closer together. She took to her abilities in chemistry continuing to push past her limits of knowledge. Even one day creating something for her favorite wolf twins.

“Hey Jordan, hey Sterling drink this!” They looked at the vials.

“We're not drinking that.” Morgan pouted and they looked at one another before mentally signing their wills.

“I don’t feel anything…do you?”

“Nope,”

Morgan smirked. “Jordan, Sterling was the one who broke your new phone. He used it as a hockey puck.” Sterling's mouth dropped.

“Et Tu Baby Mama? Et Tu?” Jordan's eyes tinged yellow.

“YOU LITTLE-“

He grabbed Sterling's throat. Choking his brother, he immediately realized that he felt no residual pain.

“HEY!” He laughed, choking Sterling harder.

“GET EM OFF OF ME ELIJAH!” Alexus laughed.

“That’s not even the best part.” She picked up three knives and Sterling shouted.

"DON’T YOU DARE!” She threw them to both twins and their Luna, who caught them at the same time and dropped them in sync.

“YOU’RE WOLVES ARE STILL IN SYNC AND SO ARE YOU!” She jumped up and down in excitement. “I DID IT! OH MY GOODNESS I DID IT!”

Alexus never felt prouder of herself. It was a thing she’d been secretly working on after they’d been almost killed. Something not only for them but for her sister as a way to say thank you for everything. She smirked.

“Well, the way I figured. If you’re not connected when you have sex then why can’t the same apply in everyday life? But you gotta take it every day like we have to take the serum for the sun.”

Jordan and Sterling stood and embraced their little sister.

“This is amazing Lexy…thank you.” Jordan choked Sterling once again.

“WHAT WAS THAT FOR?”

“Just testing it out one more time.”

Alexus blossomed in front of everyone, but it was Demetri who made her the proudest. He was loving, and attentive and worked every day to control his rage. He still got pissed off, and there were still phrases he didn’t understand, but there was never a moment when they fought, that they both didn’t say “I’m sorry…for our fight.”

Because out of everything she’d learned about Demetri, the thing that stuck with her the most was that he’d grown big on accountability. He held himself responsible for the things he did wrong, and he expected the same from others. It was yet another thing she admired about her husband. In addition to the hilarious way, he would panic.

“A PRIMUS DOES NOT PANIC ALEXUS! HE IS ALWAYS PREPARED!” He shouted and she chuckled on the phone.

“Oh really? Well, I think you panicked and forgot something Blue Eyes.”

“What?”

“ME, DUMBASS! NOW TURN AROUND AND COME BACK AND GET ME, I’M IN LABOR!”

Giving birth had been more of an experience for Demetri than for her. His face green, his eyes huge, he covered his mouth with his hands.

“This…I was not prepared for this at all.”

At the sight of their son, they both immediately fell in love. His tiny body on Alexus, his eyes trained on his father. Demetri kissed her head and rubbed his son's hair. And it was then that Alexus knew what her sisters had been trying to tell her all along. They would never be far, but Demetri and baby Mavier needed her the most. She whispered in to her son, with tears in her eyes.

"Welcome to the world my sweet boy, mommy and daddy love you so much."
